i. Intro
Hey, guys, this part 2 of the other guide I was expanding; it just couldn't fit! Anyways, when I have been trying to edit the first one it keeps removing any new info I put so some info may get listed here, but not in the order you and I should know it to be in! Let's discuss engines!
I. Engines
There are different engines, HP's and torque values that are spec'd according to a driver's needs.
A. Engine Manufacturers
.Cummins - made to be installed in nearly any truck brand - very fuel efficient
.CAT [Caterpillar] - made for mostly PACCAR long - nosers like the older Kenworth W900's and Peterbilt 379's - best for heavy haul
.PACCAR - made for PACCAR trucks - good for Regional and OTR
.International - made for Navistar trucks - good for Regional and some are good for OTR
.Volvo - made for Volvo Trucks - great for anything
.Mack - made for Mack Trucks - takes on the same great reputations and standards as Volvo Engines
.Detroit - made for Daimler Trucks, older models were fitted into the Classic Long Noses; newer models rival Volvo in the current market.
B. Engine Models
Now I'll list engine models and what they're most useful for. We have the:
Cummins: very fuel efficient
.ISX12 and ISX15 - made for anything that's under or on the GVWR, except if you have something like the ISX Signature models which is built for heavy haul
.X15 - same as above with increased uptime and fuel efficiency, but doesn't have the Signature Series model
.N14/N14 CELECT - an engine model that's not used by the newest trucks out there, but were pro fuel savers ( just like the above listed models) and could pull varying weight as it was built with very good torque values
.Cummins 444 - used in older trucks and was suitable for any job of that time

CAT: diesel guzzling but extremely dependable for HH and ST
.3406 - just as a CAT was built to be -- dependable for anything; V6
.3408 - same as above but was a newer version; V8
.C15 - the latest and greatest purring CAT with great dependability in modern HH and is more fuel efficient

PACCAR: fuel efficient and is more durable than Cummins - is great for anything from short haul to OTR
.PX9 - great model for the older PACCAR trucks
.MX11 - better than his ancestor the PX9 with more fuel efficiency
.MX13 - even more fuel efficiency than the MX-11 and more horsepower options

International: rivals Cummins in durability and fuel efficiency. This is the only engine I know of that is made for Class 8 trucks
.A26 - the latest and greatest of the Navistar engines and is made for the sweet International, Lonestar and most probably the HX520 (Research not conclusive at the moment, Citation Needed)

Volvo: fuel efficiency and durability is key when it comes to a Volvo Engine great for any weight of freight
.D11 - a model revised many times throughout the years and was enhanced for better performance and efficiency
.D12 - Not available in game, but a more reputational engine among truckers before the release of the D13
.D13/D13 Turbo Compounding - my personal favorite because of it's power and versatility, with fuel efficiency making it's mark in dependability
.D16 - another model for Volvo Trucks and has a 16L engine (to pull heavier loads) but was not praised by North American truckers who know of it's low durability which caused financial loss

Mack: the same fuel efficiency and durability as Volvo Engines (because the same manufacturers made it as the Volvo Group owns Mack, also) with more torque options and power ranges
.E6 - an older engine for older trucks like the Mack R Model with great durability and horsepower rating for its time
.E9 - a model more familiar in Australia; it's like the E6 but had higher horsepower and torque
.MP7 - a more modern engine for Macks which have great horsepower and torque options; comparable to the Volvo D11 or D12 (Citation Needed)
.MP8 - latest and greatest from Mack; the most fuel efficient engine made so far by the company and has increased fuel efficiency and power options over the MP7

Detroit: rivals the performance of Volvo Engines
.DD13 - close performance to a Volvo D11
.DD15/DD15 Turbo Compounding - rivals the Volvo D13 when talking about power
.DD16 - competes against the Volvo D16 but has better reputation among truckers
