Deiland Achievement Guide

This guide will help you get this sweet 100% on Deiland!

Introduction

Deiland is a fun little game in which you tend to your little planet. You grow crops, craft things, feed chickens till they are so fat that they are the size of a sheep... and even more...

The game is actually pretty easy to get a 100% on it, most of them unlock as you play. But there are some grindy ones too. It took me around 13 hours, excluding finishing up the rest of the NPC missions. Those for some reason don't have many achievements assiociated with them.

Most of the recipes, blueprints and seeds you get by following missions, talking with the NPCs and just progressing further into the game. If you don't have a certain crafting component or a recipe to finish some quests, just tend to other things and tasks. There's no rush. Sometimes you have to do some other quests for the rest to appear possible.

Tips for the start

• some characters will pay more for certain items. Pay attention to the star icon near an item, it means you can sell it to this merchant for more coins
  
• If you want to grind more coin, mine the stone and sell it to the pirate (he pays more for stone) along with other minerals that you don't need at the moment
  
• upgrade the crop field as soon as you can
  
• upgrade your house as soon as you can
  
• at some point in the story you'll get access to Ankora, a planet with new quests, seeds, recipes and enemies
  
• some seeds you can only get from mining meteorites that fall randomly on your planet
  
• to "summon" Lily, you need to plant a "mystery seed' which you'll get from a meteorite sooner or later, plant it as you would plant a tree or a bush
  
• if you can't mine further in the mines because "the cart is full" you just need to wait for the pirate to visit your planet. He'll load the stones on his ship in exchange for metal

• for me everything unlocked properly, but if you stumble upon a bugged achievement try:
  -restarting the game (default solution which works with most steam games)
  -switch the game language to Spanish, then back to your preferred one (solution which I found on some playstation forum, idk, maybe it will work on PC as well)
  
• you can continue playing after the credits screen

Crafting, cooking, potion brewing...

First thing that you should know about this type of achievements. Cooking 100 pancakes at once will still count as one pancake! The best way to grind those achievements is to craft, cook or brew one unit at a time.
All of those activities you do in your house. You'll have to upgrade it to get access to the kitchen or laboratory. I suggest upgrading your house as soon as possible. It ain't that hard or grindy.
Also upgrade your crop fields as soon as you can. They will grow more crops that way and you'll need those.

BLACKSMITH

Craft 15 items in the workshop.

MASTER BLACKSMITH

Craft 30 items in the workshop.
You'll have to craft many things while playing the game. I wouldn't even bother taking any "strategy" here, this will pop up naturally as you do missions.

COOK

Cook 15 dishes in the kitchen.

CHEF

Cook 40 dishes in the kitchen.

MASTER CHEF

Cook 100 dishes in the kitchen.
As you play the game you'll cook many different dishes for your friends. But I doubt that you'll reach 100 dishes only by doing missions.
Apparently oil counts as a dish. So probably the best and fastest strategy here is to grow sunflowers and crafting a lot of oil portions.
You'll get the sunflower seeds near the beggining from meteorites falling on Deiland or from merchants.

2 Sunflowers = 1 Oil

Making bread is also fairly easy (it requaires oil, I bet that after crafting 60 portions of it you don't know that to do with it anyway).

1 Oil + 2 Wheat = 1 Bread

ALCHEMIST

Create 10 potions in the laboratory.

MASTER ALCHEMIST

Create 40 potions in the laboratory.
Somewhere at the game's start you'll unlock the Healing Potion recipe. This is one of the two easiest (imo) potions in the game. To brew many of those i suggest planting many blueberry bushes and collecting fruits from them when you can. You'll also need to plant a lot of watermelons and craft some bottles.

5 Blueberries + 5 Watermelons + 1 Glass Bottle = 1 Healing Potion

The second easy "potion" bears the mighty name of "Juice". You'll get the recipe from Lily the Nymph. She'll probably be the last character you meet in the game.
Plant many blueberry bushes and ank bushes (seeds for those you get from Ank NPCs on Ankora, either trading with them or doing quests). Also few cherry trees (again, you'll get seeds from Lily).

3 Ank Berries + 3 Blueberries + 2 Cherries = 1 Juice

Other repeatable activities

PEASANT

Harvest 15 crops.
Scroll down to FARMER for more information.

FARMER

Harvest 100 crops.
It says everything really... If you want to do it fast, plant wheat or carrots - they need less time than other plants to fully grow. So better start hoeing boi ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

LUMBERJACK

Cut 50 trees/bushes.
Self explanatory... why am I even making this guide... you can try upgrading your axe or something...

HUNTER

Defeat 30 monsters.

BIG GAME HUNTER

Defeat 80 monsters.
Scroll down to MASTER HUNTER for more information.

MASTER HUNTER

Defeat 150 monsters.
Monsters will randomly attack your planet. Some monsters take more damage from an axe, some from a hammer, so experiment a little. If an enemy is really strong, use your magic on it.
There are many monsters on Ankora everytime you visit it, so i suggest grinding there.
Personally I just killed every monster that appeared on Deiland and attacked every enemy on Ankora if it was close, it unlocked faster than i thought.

ARCHITECT

Build 30 structures in the planet.
If you want to do this one fast just gather some wood and build some fences once you unlock them. You'll get the recipe from one of the missions. You'll need 120 wood for 30 fences.

FISHERMAN

Get 20 fishes in the lake.
Scroll down to MASTER FISHERMAN for more information.

MASTER FISHERMAN

Get 50 fishes in the lake.
Somewhere at the beginning you'll get a fishing rod. You can use it at your planet's lake. The minigame is rather simple. Buy the bait from merchants when you have the chance. If you run out of fish in the lake just wait a while for them to respawn.
Visit the lake often and it will unlock in no time.
You can also upgrade the fishing rod, but I didn't found it very useful. I don't really know what it does, it makes your catch-o-meter slightly longer i guess.

GARDENER

Plant 30 flowers.

MASTER GARDENER

Plant 90 flowers.
This is probably the last activity you'll get access to in the game. You can start gardening after meeting Lily the Nymph, so pretty late in the game. She'll give you some missions regarding gardening.
In order to grow a flower you need to build a flower pot. For that you need vases and some packages of compost.

1 Straw + 1 Thorn + 1 Fabric = 1 Compost

10 Stone = 1 Vase

1 Vase + 1 Compost = 1 Flower Pot

I suggest rather buying composts than crafting them, thorn is a pretty rare resource.

Build about 10 flower pots and buy as much flower seeds as you can every time merchants visit you. Plant them in pots and talk to them as they grow. Ok, without talkin, i'm just foolin around.

You need to harvest 90 flowers from the pots. You don't need to plant them on the ground for the achievement to count.

Other achievements

Most of these achievements you get just by doing character missions and for overall progress. You can say that some of them are Story Related.

EXPLORER

Travel to planet Ankora.
After doing some missions and meeting even more strangers, Mun will take you on an adventure to
planet Ankora. It has new enemies, new missions, almost a divorce story and new resources. You'll also meet new peaceful creatures called Anks with more tasks for you.

Every trip to Ankora costs you one Combustible. You can buy it from Goliath or craft yourself.

1 Oil + 1 Alcohol = 1 Combustible

The achievement should pop up when you land on Ankora.

MINER

Chop the mine stones.
Eventually you will be able to build a mine. You can do it only one time and in a specific place. On the other side of Deiland there is a crack in the large rock. That's the spot.

15 Wood + 2 Rope + 5 Metal = 1 Mine

I suggest building a Fire Pit or at least a Fireplace near the Mine's entrance, because you'll need a lit up torch everytime you enter it.

The achievement should pop up when you'll mine the first stone (one of those little ones, which end up in the minecart).

MERCHANT

Collect 5 crab claws for Brram.
It's basically just one of the missions for Brram. You get crab claws from crabs (O.o) which will spawn sooner or later on Deiland after accepting the quest.

Once you finish the task, the achievement should pop up.

WHITE WIZARD

Talk with Mun about your new white cloak.
Somewhere in the late game you'll get a crafting recipe for a White Cloak. You get the blueprint as a reward from one of the Nidawi's quests. It basically just changes your appearance.

The achievement will trigger once you talk to Mun after crafting your new cape.

SHEPHERD

Complete the barn with 4 sheeps.
It starts as a one of the quests from Umi on Ankora. He'll ask you to take care of one of his sheeps.
First you need to build a barn on Deiland.

30 Wood + 5 Metal = 1 Barn

After that, you can visit Umi again and buy 3 more sheep from him (apparently as an item, imagine that!). They're a bit expensive but you'll manage.

The important thing is that you have to buy each sheep individually! Thanks @Dumb for pointing that out.
Don't buy all of them at once. It seems like the game counts the number of transactions, not sheep really...

The trophy should pop up after the last successful transaction and you becoming bankrupt.

PRINCE

Complete all the achievements.
If you unlocked everything listed above, you should also get this one.
Congrats hunter ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

Regarding shepherd: I got one sheep, bought two more (one at a time). After that i accidently destroyed my barn and rebuilt it. After that the Achievement popped already. Could be a big for destroying the barn or the mission "rescue the sheep from goliath" which happend around the same time, but i think it was the barn

Well another playthrough did it. It is just like this guide says, Ankora counts and it doesn't matter if Mun kills the enemies first.

I unlocked everything properly, though i've read much about people struggling to get some achievements.
All I can suggest is checking the tips section above or just trying on another playthrough :V
