Community Board (the tangled web of intricacies)

This guide aims to be as pragmatic as possible, while discussing the various "entanglements" that exist within the DBZ Kakarot Community Board, its active bonuses and its subsequent stories.

Disclaimer

*In order to have the best mix overall, all the Communities are maxed out except Z Warrior Community (lvl 8) and Adventure Community (lvl 7);

*To efficiently allocate the Soul Emblems, all of the maxed out Communities are slightly above the limit of the overall level;

*Only two Secrets for Success gifts were used to raise the level cap for Goku (lvl 29) and Gohan (lvl 27);

*No DLC Soul Emblems were used, only base game ones;

Introduction

You can find the Community Board, if you go into the Main Menu and press Community, there you will have two options to choose from, the Community Board or the Soul Emblems.

The Community Board itself is divided into 7 separate communities, each having 10 community rank levels which offer various bonuses within the game, and a special gauge of levels which fills in accordance with the Soul Emblem placed in the special slots.

The Soul Emblems are 83 in number (base game), and are gained by completing the main quests as well as the sub-quests.

When building up your community max ranks, you have to take into consideration:

• the individual level of each Soul Emblem
  
• the Soul Emblem bonus

Unfortunately, at the moment you cannot fill the Community Board with Soul Emblems, as there are 96 slots and only 83 Soul Emblems, however you are not required to fill the Community Board in order to get the max level with its subsequent bonuses.

The absolute beauty of it, is that everyone can creatively place the Soul Emblems as they see fit to create special "entanglements" (as I call them), in order to maximize the benefits (bonuses, levels); or simply to create a web of intricate stories and characters that really mix well together, especially in the mind of those that have seen the magnificent Dragon Ball Saga more than once.

Below, I will present a variation of a complete Community Board which attempts to stay true to the DB Saga, its iconic characters, and at the same time taking into consideration the bonuses which are required to max out the ranks for each community.

Adult Community

The Adult Community has Master Roshi as the leader, by default, which means he cannot be placed in other Communities and therefore his bonuses must be considered.

Although, on one hand both Launch and Turtle have max lvl (25) within the Cooking Community, on the other hand the constant topic touched upon at the Kame residence, not to mention the Kame House Resident bonus which gives +3 to all, seem to suggest that it would be rather unwise to separate such iconic characters and place them in a Cooking Community with no bonus whatsoever.

This Community requires 225 levels to max rank.

* Even though there is no "entanglement" story between Master Roshi and Nam, their relationship dates back to the Tournament days, where Master Roshi dressed as Jackie Chun helped Nam by explaining to him that he did not need the prize money to buy water.

Even so, you can rearrange the Soul Emblems in a number of ways, but no other arrangements will be as effective as the layout above;
and of course it goes without saying that you can add some Soul Emblems to this layout, but then you will have to reconsider other Community Board layouts as well.

Training Community

King Kai is at the epicenter of the Training Community, and even though he may be suited for the Community of the Gods, we cannot switch him, nor utilize effectively his best active bonus (The Rank of Kai) (+4).

The Training Community requires 575 levels to max rank.

Community of the Gods

The Community of the Gods requires 350 levels to max rank.

As usual you are the master of your ranks, or dare I say GOD, and therefore you can place the Soul Emblems as you like. However, considering that Mr. Popo is in charge, and at the same time trying to get the max rank, the max bonus and stay true to the story as much as possible, we have to tread wisely.

In our first picture we still require +2, of course it can be easily resolved by giving someone a gift (e.g. Secrets for Success: Gods), and raise the God cap level by 2 for one Soul Emblem.




















Or, we can just rearrange them slightly and raise it to the max with no gifts whatsoever.

Development Community

Bulma is the Development Community Leader, and even though this Community can be overlooked in terms of necessity, we still have to max it out at least once in order to build cheaper and raise the success rate.

The Cooking Community has Chi-Chi as the Leader and it requires 375 levels to max rank.

Z Warrior Community

The Z Warrior Community requires 275 levels to max rank. It has Goku as the leader and honestly speaking you would be right to prioritize it in the beginning since it gives melee and ki bonuses. However, for me it was not a priority after completing the game, and so I sacrificed it in a way, by placing in the last instance the leftover Soul Emblems.

The Adventure Community... a tough one... since it has Yajirobe in charge. But frankly speaking you cannot utilize his bonuses in a rational and effective manner, nor are they useful since they only have (+2).
