Beneath A Red Sky Battle Overhaul (Remade) is a balance mod that aims to change every aspect of TW:3K battles to make them more realistic and closer to what you would expect from an ancient battle. It seeks to follow the vanilla balance closely while creating a really in-depth, immersive and historically accurate overhaul that puts importance on fatigue and morale over casualties and damage.

BARS Remade has reconstructed the original mod from scratch, but sticks closer to vanilla stats, while also polishing up a few other mechanics. Hopefully this should reduce the amount of work needed to update the mod from now on, and also should be far more compatible with mods that add in new battle mechanics, units and overhauls.





CURRENT FEATURES

• In-depth Combat Redesign.
Slower, more tactical, battles.
节奏更慢,更具战术性的战斗。

Overhauled fatigue so that it has a larger effect on morale and combat ability, meaning a fresh militia unit could beat an exhausted elite unit.

Units gain game-changing abilities when their morale is above 50%.

A 'pushing' mechanic based on unit weight, weapon type and training.

Reworked animations by adding matched combat to all units and also changed around a few existing unit animations so that combat looks a little more realisitic. No more wild jumping and slashing animations mid-combat.

• Unit changes.
Melee Infantry

When melee infantry have morale above 50% then they will have an ability that allows them to repel cavalry charges and also gives bonus damage against cavalry.
当近战步兵的士气超过50%时,他们将具有对抗骑兵加成和抵抗骑兵冲锋骑兵的主动增益。

They also gain an ability that slightly reduces enemy units morale when charging and their morale is above 50%

Polearm Infantry

When polearm infantry have morale above 50% then they will have an ability that allows them to rapidly attack enemy units, pinning them behind a wall of spears and reducing enemy units' attack rate.

They also gain an ability that slightly reduces enemy units morale when charging and their morale is above 50%

Cavalry Units

Cavalry gain an ability that severely reduces enemy units morale when charging and their morale is above 50%

Shock cavalry cause fear while charging.
重装骑兵在冲锋时会引发恐惧效果。

• Missile and Projectile Overhaul.
All missile damage has been reduced and now does more morale and fatigue damage instead, so missile weapons are mostly used as support troops.
所有远程伤害均有所降低,取而代之的是对士气和疲劳度的削弱,因此远程部队主要用作支援部队。

Missile physics have been overhauled so that they have realistic ranges, spread and firing arcs.
箭矢物理经过大修后,射程、散布、弹道将更加真实。

When used against shielded infantry, missiles suppress them, reducing the enemy unit's speed and combat ability.
箭矢将压制敌方对持盾步兵,使其减速并降低其战力。

• More Difficult Terrain
Terrain effects have been overhauled, with forests, swamps and rough terrain slowing units to realistic speeds, while also reducing combat ability.
地形效果已经过全面大修,森林、沼泽和崎岖的地形对单位的减速效果将达到现实水平,同时还会降低战力。

Forests now block missile fire even more effectively than vanilla, but low tier units can be easily routed should the forest be set ablaze.

All BARS content has been verified to work with all other mods within the BARS collection.
The BARS Remade should be compatible with most mods, but should be placed at the top of the load order to overwrite any other battle mods. If you wish to create a patch for BARS to work with a unit mod, simply add the BARS abilities to the new units!

2024 working : Beneth the red sky battle overhaul and Enhanced camera.
2024 not working : arrow trails and enhanced dust.

I don't know what happened, I was working well before I updating something any mod and now, this mod is not working anymore.

Can you make a mod so that in the battle scene there are no clouds in the sky that want to reduce the sunlight?
