Introduction
One of the interesting new additions included in Shufflecup Cantina Deluxe is the Embodiment system. Simply put, it allows you to play as the various characters in the game. To unlock a character, all you need to do is obtain all their background information. To then start the embodiment, talk to the character, select "biography" an you will see: Incarnation Available. Click that, confirm and enjoy.
The obvious benefit is that this will give you access to the character's mallet, puck and special strike. Furthermore, while embodying them, you will have specific bonuses and penalties depending on the character. The bonuses can provide a significant boost to your rewards.
Meanwhile, inside the cantina, the player will take the place of the character and an astronaut will stand where they were standing.

For this guide I will include:
  • An alphabetic list of the characters and their embodiments
  • Sections based on game modes, for easy reference of what embodiment best suits your current needs.
  • Sections based on the rewards modified.

Parting Thoughts

Bonuses and Penalties are about risk, reward and playstyle. If you feel confident that you will get gold medals, or you simply no longer care about Credz, then Ekbar's penalty will bother you little, while the score bonus may be exactly what you need. If you are desperate to earn tokens, then you could embody Furry each time you go to the machine to earn your bonus tokens (once you get 2 tokens per 30 minutes, Furry will turn those into 4 per 30 minutes).
Phan-Le's bonus is far superior to Ayato's. Still, Ayato does not restrict you in mallet choice, so playing with an extra wide mallet may ensure getting the score at a lower risk than playing as Phan-Le.
So try them out and see what suits you best personally and have fun playing!

i'm not sure if i want to ... you know, incarnation ... transfer my soul into Harobed would be "Akward" if you know what i mean :/
and actually i like my space suit !
nice guide and made it easy to find whatever you want (duel / surivival / or just caracter's comparison).

:ohnono: might be it just has a random chance. Could be something low like 2% (random made up number)

@melkathi: I am playing right now and don't quite understand how it really works. In duel mode my glass is protected not only one time during the match. It withstands 3 or even 4 impacts in different moments. Looks like it's completely random.
From description of repulsor puck: "It also allows for unpredictable rebounds off of the Holo-glass."
It makes the game a little bit unbalanced I think.

@pavel18: that is some great information. I may have to try that to finally get that 100 score with some opponents. Thanks for sharing!

I suddenly realized that equipping repulsor puck add 1 "safe" rebound from player's Holo-glass. In any game mode. So for instance if you have BupBup embodiment, your Holo-glass will break after 4 impacts in survival mode. Pretty nice bonus I think. I know it has no relation to your guide, but may be it would be helpful.
And by the way, that's a great guide, it helped me a lot.You gathered all the useful information in one place. :tdealwithit:

I put it in now.

@IloveindiA:
After you buy all of a character's biographies, when you talk to them, click on biography, you get a new choice there: "Incarnation" click on that.
IloveindiA Mar 16, 2014 @ 7:04am
nice guide, very informative. but how do I exactly embody a player? just by using its mallet and puck??

@peremptor:
Skargoth is a great investment if you are in need of credz. Indeed.
Of course after a time credz become useless. Until one reaches tht point though... And he is one of only two characters who give bonus credz - and unliek Isidor, he isn't restricted to one mode. Skargoth in survival mode can earn a LOT of crez.
