D.L.C. Explorer's Logs.

This is essentially just something fun I did while playing through the D.L.C. besides point out typos and grammar mistakes in the Kyle Is Famous Discord server. I may or may not have been competing with other typo-finders. Don't take any of this as official content, I just couldn't be bothered to create a new place to store it.


Explorer's log, Day one.
We have been making steady progress through the DLC. We have received aid from many Scholars of Kyle and Kylologists. Their help has been invaluable. We did find ourselves on many trails discovered earlier in the day, though we pressed on in the hopes something might have changed.

Explorer's log, Day two.
We have run low on ideas. We are down to our last jar of decaff. The scholars and Kylologists have eaten eachother in the belief that swallowing people whole might help them think like Kyle. We're not even low on food, they just started eating each other. Our hotdog research specimens continue to be hotdogs, as per normal. We're hoping to see a change soon.

Addendum to Explorer's log, Day two.
We managed to decipher some notes left by one of the late scholars. Two more secrets were revealed to us. Alas, our job will be much more difficult without our learned colleagues. Nevertheless, we shall continue marching along these well-worn roads until they yield their final secrets. I can hear our rival explorers now, somewhere off in the distance. Their number far exceeds our own. I pray our journey is not for naught.

Explorer's Log, Day three.
It has been 24 hours since our last breakthrough. Morale is falling rapidly. The endings once seen as thrilling treasure hunts, are now viewed with the same sorrow-filled eyes as a lost traveler having realized he has been chasing mirages and hallucinations. All attempts at optimism are met as one would meet a taunt, a scathing remark, or news of a loved one's passing. Our camp, once clamouring with voices proffering their ideas, now lies as solemn as a funeral - its silence only broken by distant grief-stricken sobs and gasps.
We have pooled the last of our exploratory fund, a sum of 2000ge, with the intent to offer reward to whomsoever reaches the final summits. Our travels are well-documented, hopefully they can aid those to carry on the torch.

Addendum to Explorer's log, Day three.
What's this‽ A supply drop?... It contains an old journal belonging to none other than the famous adventurer Jonathen Duckworthy. It details how he attempted this very feat as a final hurrah to his adventuring days. He encountered much the same hardship we were met with. But he pushed on until the very end (his end, in fact, when he was struck by lightning... for the eleventh time since his expedition set forth. The crew - taking it as a bad omen that was evidently more fatal than the last ten bad omens - immediately packed up and left. But not before his faithful travelling companion (and rumoured sweetheart) Gabby O'Kyle could leave a few helpful markers for the next generation of explorers). With this we might finally instill hope in our team — nay, our family of adventurers!

Addendum to Explorer's log, Day three.
Well, we didn't make it. A few Turretine Rogues snatched both remaining victories up as we were sleeping. But at least we didn't lose to that bunch of Zesciscan monks with their underwear on their heads. As we followed the trail they left behind we noticed some artifacts that eluded the previously mentioned rogues. At least with these we can bring back something to show for our troubles. My team has decided that we'll call it a draw between us and the Turretines, not that any of us are planning on telling the Turretines though, they might try to claim the reward we offered. We plan on spending it all before we return home.
