100% Achievement Guide Contagion
By Cooconuts and 1 collaborators
This guide will help you understand and have the knowledge in order to 100% this game, will explain all the achievements for an easier understanding, give you some tips for those that are more harder to get and give some personal experiences with some of them as well. Check the last section "New achievements" to see the latest achievements added to the game, if there are new achievements that are not mentioned in that section that means that I either, didn't notice there are new achievements because I don't keep track of the game that closely anymore or that I'm working on getting them before updating the guide. Either way I would appreciate if you comment when new achievements are added to the game so this guide doesn't get outdated.

Anything you consider its worth mentioning in the guide or adding to it, let us know in the comments and we'll add it! Also don't hesitate in telling us if we messed up something or need to clarify anything as well!

For completing maps (escape, extraction and flatline), bots can be added to fill the lobby, they can be set to have inf ammo and their own weapons from the start, this makes completing all maps a hell lot easier in lower difficulties. On harder difficulties they might be more like a burden since AI is pretty stupid sometimes.

Quick reminder: enabling sv_cheats in a server will disable progress for all achievements and will remain this way until you restart the game, some people say that restarting the server enables achievements again but doesn't work 100% of the times, so just in case whenever you enable cheats and you want to go for achievements in the same session, just don't, you might be wasting your time so restart the game to make sure achievements are enabled again.

One Of Them
While infected, survive long enough to let it run it's course and turn you into one of the undead.

Start a game on normal difficulty and add bots. When the game starts let the zombies hit you. Since it is random you might see that your character is starting to lose his mind (black and white sight and hearing reduction). Wait until he loses his mind completely and becomes a zombie. You will earn the achievement then.

Ankle Biter
Remove both legs from a zombie.

For this one you can use a grenade or any weapon to get it. Melee weapons also work.

One Free Bullet
Complete Any Escape map without firing a single bullet, on Hard or Higher Difficulty.

You are not able to shoot any gun but you can still kill zombies with a melee weapon. Just bring some friends with you on any escape map or you can fill the lobby with bots instead.

Handyman
Complete 250 Objectives in the Escape Game-Mode.

You will get this achievement as you play through the maps on Escape mode.

Pest Control
Sprint over and squish 5 cockroaches

There are no cockroaches around the map, instead cockroaches are your fellow survivors when they die and they don't become a zombie, this applies to all game-modes.

Tip: The easy way to get this is bringing a friend and letting him get killed, then just meet somewhere and sprint over them

Cowboy?
Ride 20 different survivors as a cockroach

This achievement is similar to the last one but on the cockroach's perspective, you need to get close to a survivor and ride them (default key E), you will know when you're riding a survivor when you get "stuck" in them and move at the same time as them. You will have to do this with 20 players, can be bots and doesn't have to be 20 different players thrughout all games, it can be the same player but it will have to be on a different game. By adding bots from the lobby it will only count 1 if you ride them all, for some reason, it's not clear if it's because they all have the same name or if this just doesn't work this way.

Tip: The easiest way is to create your own server, add bots by using the commands below, getting killed and riding them all. Repeat until the achievement pops up. Since these commands doesn't require of sv_cheats to enable them, they won't disable any achievement progress so you're safe to use them. The old achievements got replaced by new experimental ones as Wuffesan mentioned on this discussion

Originally posted by Wuffesan (developer):

Call a Doctor
Heal 25 fellow survivors whilst working together in our Co-Op Game Modes

There are 2 items that you can use to heal yourself (default key LMB) or other people (default key RMB):

Med kit. Heals 100% of your health, looks clearly like a med kit.

Inoculator. Heals 25% of your health, looks like a small pistol without a barrel and with a syringe on top of it

And Stay Out!
Barricade 50 windows, doors and other entrances in the Extraction Game-Mode.

In order to do this you need to find a nailgun and some planks to barricade, they can be found around the maps, always fixed spawn points. Then just barricade all you can, you will see what you can barricade when you equipo the nailgun.

Green is my colour
A handy tool, used for many kinds of purposes

In Barlowe Square (Escape mode), after you go through the asset store, you'll come across this building, it's not missable.

As soon as you enter you will see a door and some stairs behind it, just keep going up until you get to the 3rd floor.

Eventually you will get here, that door at the end is where you need to enter.

After you get into the apartment, go through the door on your right and you'll see the bedroom, after that there's the bathroom with the green crowbar inside the toilet.

No Gasmask, No Problem
Where we are going, we don't need gasmasks

This achievement requires Normal difficulty or higher, you'll have to go through a gas section without wearing a mask, in Montclair for example, the sewers section has gas and going through all of it without a mask will most likely kill you. If you don't know your way through the sewers, bringing a med kit is a must, otherwise the gas will kill you.

Angry baby
Cause 25 car alarms

Just hit or shoot cars with alarms, if I remember correctly you could tell if a car has an alarm by looking at its windows, if there is glowing red at the bottom of the windows then it has an alarm. Usually cop cars have and there's always one at the beginning of camp whitner, there are also a few around barlowe square

Boomstick From Hell
Atleast it isn't drenched in demon blood

For this achievement you will need 3 candles, that are spread all around Camp Whitner
The first one is in the zone where you find the red keycard, you will need a set of keys to open the door.

The second one is in the zone where you find the blue keycard, inside one of the dorms.

The third one is in the corner of the map behind the white tents, this one is the hardest to find because there's no objective near it.

Then use the oil lamp inside the room where the infected guy is, check the "It wasn't an illness" achievement to know who is it.

When you get the candles, they will all spawn at the living room of the first building, the one where you find the red keycard, in front of the TV. With all the candles on the table there will also be a pentagram that you can interact with by holding E, this will grant you the achievement.

Not Today!
Break free from a zombie grapple in our Panic Game-mode.

In order to escape the grapple you'll need to spam your jump button (default key Space) as fast as you can, this took us a few tries before it popped up so keep trying and you'll eventually get it. This achievement can be done both with players or bots but it's definetely easier with players since bots only grapple every few times.

Killing the killer
Kill Sebastian

Sebastian is an NPC that spawns in one of the escape maps as a boss. He'll be wearing one of those orange prison uniforms so it'll be easy to spot and recognize.

He can be found at the end of Camp Whitner after you go down the entrance at the garage below the car lift, beware he's armed and ready to fight. If you got a long range weapon and good aim he'll go down easily.

It wasn't an illness
Killing him was the only medicine

This person can be found once again in Camp Whitner and will be part of the objectives. Is the guy that talks to you through a door and asks for your help.

He'll turn into a zombie after you help him and after you kill him you'll find the oil lamp required for the "Boombstick From Hell" achievement inside the room he was in.

Would You Kindly?
Follow the doctor's 'instructions'

In the map Mansion you'll be greeted by Dr. Callahan who will put you in situation and give you the main objective for the map. In order to get the achievement you'll have to wait in the room you spawn until he's done talking, where he will say the achievement's name "Would you kindly?" (fun fact, it's a reference and a famous quote from the game Bioshock).

Then after he says the words you can proceed normally and you'll get the achievement the moment you turn on these two generators in the basement, it's part of the objective so you can't miss it. While you're here you should also press the red button next to the 2nd generator, this will power a circuit box you'll need to interact with for "A single light in the dark".

Wedding Crashers
Ruin Madeline's wonderful wedding

On your way to the main objective in Mansion you'll have to go through the ballroom to find the last key necessary, so all you have to do is crash the party and the achievement will pop once you pop the bride. The code to the keypad can be found around the mansion in a notepad.

Cup of The Dead
Have a cup of tea, and wait until it all blows over

This cup of tea can be found in the same room as the book required for the "28467" achievement. The cup will be sitting on a small round table behind the sofa.

A Single Light in The Dark
Lit the candles

As a piece of advice, don't bother with the candles until you find the key to the attic, you have to deliver them there anyway and running around with 4 candles while also having to find the 15897235keys there are in the whole map is going to take some serious juggling skills, specially if you play alone.

While looking for the keys for every door in Mansion, you'll probably come across some of the candles, if not all. There are 4 candles in total and after finding them you'll have to place them in a specific place. They will be listed as you're able to find them by progressing the map but as mentioned before, it's better to pick them up all after you've opened all the doors so you don't have to carry all the keys as well.

1st Candle - Behind the fireplace in the office ("puzzle")

Starting from the hall facing the stairs, take the door on the right side and follow the hallway until you come across this creepy painting on the right side and enter the room immediately after

Once you're inside there will be notepad on the desk with the "puzzle". Interact with the clock on top of the fireplace and a secret door will reveal itself behind the 2 bookshelves on the corner

Through the secret door you'll find a small room with some more bookshelves, books, spider webs, a gun and some ammo and the first candle

In the same room, next to the door behind some pile of books, you'll see a circuit panel that can be used now if you pressed the red button next to the generators in the basement. This will enable you to use a keypad later in the attic.

2nd Candle - Behind the first room with the knights ("lever")

Following the same path as before, passing the previous room you will eventually get to the end of the hallway where 2 rooms with some knight statues, being this one (on the picture) the first one. As far as I know, there's no hint in-game telling you that there will be a secret door in this room

To get access to the secret room you'll have to interact with a book on the bookshelf. There's no interact button or prompt when you look at the correct one, but as in the previous puzzle, the false wall will slide when do interact with the one, that book being the blue-ish at the bottom row

You'll find the second candle on the right corner of the small secret room laying on the floor

3rd Candle - Behind the second room with the knights (key required)

On the second room with knight statues there will be a door that requires a certain key, specifically the green cross key, the one you need for opening the generator room above the ballroom

Inside the room you'll see blood all over the walls and floor and the third candle right in front of the door, sitting on top of a small coffee table. Remember where this room is, because you'll need to come back later when you're done with the candles.

4th Candle - Last room in the attic

The last candle can be found in the attic, on the room at the end of the path. Next to the desk, inside a cardboard box. Now, if you don't have all candles on you, would be the time to get them along with the book for the next achievement "28467" because all of those items will be placed together.

This keypad can be found behind some shelves and boxes in the same room as the 4th candle. If you interacted with the circuit box where the 1st candle was, now you'll be able to insert the code (28467).

After following the path in the alternate dimension you'll come across this crypt with some red circles like in a ritual.
These are the places where you put the candles and the book. This will finally grant you the achievement.

28467
The numbers, what do they mean?

For this achievement you're required of finding a specific book that you'll carry to the same place as the previous achievement "A single light in the dark".

This book can be found close to the room with a huge red table, which is next to the big kitchen. There are 3 doors in this room, one that leads to the hall, one to the kitchen and the remaining one (the one on the picture) that takes you to a hallway

Once you cross the door (in the picture, the one on the right) stick to the right side and you'll find a double door with a symbol on it's left side showing which key is required to open it, which is the one with two red arrows, one on top of the other one, pointing upwards

The book will be waiting for you on the coffee table infront of the tv. In this room you can also find the cup of tea for the achievement "Cup of the dead"

While doing the previous achievement "A single light in the dark" you can also place the book in the middle spot between the candles to trigger the last part of this achievement. Once you put down the book just go back to the mansion and head to the 2nd room with the knights

The room you see in the picture on the opposite side of the entrace with the weird glowing red writting on the wall, will have something floating in mid air which you'll have to interact with and the achievement will be yours.

That's Not a Microwave Casserole...
Playing as a survivor < 4/4 >
Turtle Lover: The Sequel

There's already a guide with the locations of all the turtles throughout the campaign. If I have the time I'll get my own screenshots and try to explain how to get to them through a normal walkthrough.

Call an Ambulance.. but for me!
Get revived by a fellow survivor

On Flatline mode you can purchase a defibrilator for $800 and revive a dead player with it, perhaps this item can spawn on another game mode but for now I'm unsure about that.

This calls for a lot of Explosions
Have a fellow survivor use your deployed explosives package

This is the most OP upgrade package on this game mode, to use it just place it on the ground and everyone in the party will be able to take an upgrade for their equipped weapon, I believe it only allows 1 per player and after a round it will dissapear from the ground and will no longer be available to use until another package is placed.

Can i have some tomato sauce to my fresh fries!?
Have a fellow survivor use your deployed incendiary package

This upgrade package is like the previous one but instead of an "explosion" icon on the box you'll see a little flame on it.

Look mom, It's a pie!
Deploy 5 upgrade packages in total

Just deploy 5 upgrade packages like the previous two, there are many more different upgrade packages and it can be done in different matches, doesn't have to be on a single one
Playing as a survivor < Flatline >
Money Money!
Earn $5,000 dollars on Flatline

I'm Bleedin' Dry!
Spend $10,000 dollars on Flatline

These two previous achievements don't require to be done within a single game. So you will get those eventually by playing the game mode

Saving the day
Delay the inevitable

In Flatline game-mode there is a button, its called Round Saver, around the map that cost 1000$ to purchase. This button will give you a second chance when all your team die without having to start from the first wave just yet. It's not clear how it actually works, it can either be to save the wave you purchased the button or to save the last wave you survived whatever the wave you were in when purchased it.

This button is in the main hall of the station on the middle desk near the back reception but there will be one in every flatline map. It will only be available to purchase once per game so use it wisely.

Perfecting Perfection
Get an upgrade module

These upgrade modules can be dropped by riot police zombies randomly, the drop % is quite low. The modules look like a box that can be easily spot when they drop, is not like you will miss it.

When it drops you will have to pick it up and it will give your current weapon a random upgrade. The maximum number of buff on a weapon are 4. Each box will display an image of the buff that contains, in the picture you can see that the one on this box is the buff that vanishes zombies when they get killed.

Gambling Addiction
Get something from the mysterybox

The mistery box is a big black box around the map and will cost 1000$ to open. It will give a random weapon with random upgrades. Just open it 10 times and it'll pop up. You can see a reference image below.

This mistery box is from the Unionstation map and its located right next to the train on the outside of the station. They will always appear in a fixed location on each map and you can purchase them as many times as you want. If you don't like the weapon you get from it, just recycle it and you will get some money back.

Pay 2 Win
Buy 1000 weapons from the shop

The shop is no longer a place you need to go inbetween waves, you can purchase weapons directly from your phone instead.

The shop will open at the end of each wave, you will see footsteps on the floor that will lead to you it, there you can buy weapons, ammo, health and other supplies.

You will have around 90 seconds to get there and buy whatever you can until it closes again and the next wave will start. The shop won't be always in the same place (at least on most of the maps) so each time it will be in a different location but you'll always have the footsteps to find it.

This is what the shop looks like, although all the shops rooms have different sizes. Depending on the map you're playing in, you might find a few different items like a red keycard in Unionstation or some boltcutters on Harvest, those will unlock a "secret" room in the map where you will find supplies.

Waste Not, Want Not
Recycle 500 weapons

The recycler is a regular container but it will be interactable and will always have a fixed location on each map. You can see a reference image below.

This recycler is from the Unionstation map and its located near the train on the outside of the station, around the corner on one of the furthest side of the train. The better the weapon you recycle the more money you will get back from it.
Playing as a survivor < PvP >
This section will include all the achievements related to the PvP mode (Hunted Game-Mode) and other achievements that requires 2 or more players that can be done in other game modes. Most of them will require of a friend or two in order to get them, some of them can be done with bots instead.

Sharpshooter
Kill a player controlled zombie or fellow survivor in any Game-Mode that exceeds 150ft.

Tip: The easy way to get this is by asking for help from a friend, keep in mind that you might want to add a bot if you can't get 2 friends to help you because the game will end one there's only 1 survivor alive. Clearly the optimal weapon for this would be the sniper, then go to Harvest, search for the roof that you can reach by jumping on a pick up truck and walking through a wooden plank, pick the sniper that's near the lantern you see in front, go to the position shown on the pictures below and pray for your aim.

Let your zombie friend stand behind the police car and just in case right next to the fence behind it so you can ensure the 150 feets.

In Your Face
Kill 25 player controlled zombies with a melee attack.

Would be Daryl
Get 25 Headshots on your fellow survivors using the crossbow in our Hunted Game-Mode

Do not get mistaken with the compound bow, the crossbow is the one that shoots sideways, although apparently compound bow kills also count towards it, might be patched in the future or not. This one is better with friends, with bots you might not even have the chance to find the crossbow before they kill you or they kill each other.

Bell Tower
Get 50 Headshots on your fellow survivors in our Hunted Game-Mode

Serial Killer
Kill 250 of your fellow survivors in the Hunted Game-Mode.

Since the game is not as alive as one would like, the fastest way to do this is creating a private server and adding a bunch of bots. The most entertaining way would be to bring a bunch of friends together and have fun... but we're here to hunt achievements not for the fun, right?
Playing as a zombie < PvP >
Hoarder
Use your Roar to build a horde of 15 or more zombies.

When playing as a zombie run around and gather zombies to follow you by using the Roar ability (default key R) until you reach 15.

Dropped Calls
While on the hunt, provoke 25 phone 'pings' as a player zombie while in our Hunted Game-Mode.

When you play as a zombie a survivor needs to call you 25 times to earn this one. Play with a friend and when you are near each other the survivor needs to take out his phone (Default key B) and the zombie player's name should appear on its screen then call the times needed.

Wrecking Ball
Destroy 50 Doors and/or Barricades as a player zombie.

Cat 'n' Mouse
Kill the last remaining survivor in a round while playing as a zombie.

This achievement can only be done in co-op game-modes because in Hunted game-mode when there's only 1 survivor remaining the game will consider him the winner and the round will restart.

Last Breath
Kill a player survivor with low health using nothing but your grapple and bite.

Tip: The fastest way to do it is by bringing a friend to any co-op game-mode because of the same reason on Cat 'n' Mouse achievement in case you can only find 1 person to help. So the way to do it is by having the survivor at full health and the zombie at less than 30% of the health, then as the zombie only use grapple (default key RMB) from his back to bring down all the survivor's health.

Dinner For Me and You
Kill a survivor while he is being grappled by a fellow player zombie.

Tip: Same process as the previous achievement but with the help of another player playing as a zombie as well. So what you need here is 1 survivor and 2 zombies (not both zombies requires to be players but it's easier if they are both players), while one zombie is grappling, the player zombie just kill the survivor with a normal attack, bot zombies occasionally also use the grappling but it's random.

If the survivor gets killed when the zombie at the back isn't grappling anymore (because the grapple only lasts a few seconds), the achievement won't pop up so it needs to be while the grappling is happening, so its recomended to low the survivor's health first to its minimum.

Burning Man
Kill a player survivor as a zombie while on fire.

Tip: Montclair and Barlowe Square in Escape game-mode usually have a fire half way of the map you need to extinguish to progress that you can use for this achievement. To clarify the description the zombie is the one that has to be on fire, not the survivor.

The Carrier
Kill 3 player survivors in a round while playing as a zombie.

You can either add bots for this one or go with some friends on a server. The one who needs it need to become zombie either by dying or getting infected, then the player needs to kill 3 people in the same round.

Zombies Ate My Neighbor
Kill 25 AI survivors in the Extraction Game-mode as a player zombie.

The survivors that you need to kill are the ones that have to get extracted by the survivor players.

Spread the Love
Infect 25 player survivors.

To infect survivors you can either do it by hitting them with your normal attack or by grappling, grapple has a higher chance to infect than a normal hit and it also deals more damage most of the times. Playing with more players and at a higher difficulty also increases the chance to infect survivors. Keep in mind that as soon as you infect a survivor it will count towards the achievement, you don't need to wait for the survivor to become a zombie, so if you want to speed things up just grapple first for the highest chance to infect and then keep hitting them until they die.

As a zombie using the vision ability (default key F) you can see which survivor is infected as it will have a green circle underneath. In this picture you can see that 2/3 survivors are infected.

Hold Me Close
Grapple and bite 50 player survivors.

Stand behind a survivor and use the grapple action (default key RMB)

Lord of the Damned
Kill 250 survivors as one of the undead.

This one will take a lot of time because is harder to kill as a zombie than it is as a survivor, although this can be done with bots it will still take a lot of time since bots have quite good aim and will kill each other very fast. If you're lucky you will get up to 3-4 kills each match with a full 16 players lobby (you + 15 bots). On your way to get this achievement you should also try grappling for the previous achievement and eventually you will get "Hold me close" as well.

Sweet Revenge
Sometimes, coming back from the dead is worth it

Get killed by a player to become a zombie, then as a zombie you have to kill him. It has to be on Hunted game mode. As of update 2.2.0.0 the achievement is bugged and triggers for the survivor instead of the zombie player (as it should be), devs know about it and will fix it soon.
Completing maps < Escape >
These sections will include completing all maps in all objective game-modes, such as Escape, Extraction, Flatline and Panic. Keep in mind that if you complete the map a higher difficulty, you will also unlock the achievements for the ones at lower difficulty (if there are any). These achievements are quite self-explanatory so there won't be any extra clarifications about them but there will be tips from personal and other people's playthroughs. Keep in mind that after each update some of these achievements might get bugged and not unlock and other might get fixed instead, so just hope for a next update that will fix the broken ones.

Montclair
Plantation House
Complete Montclair, on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Escape Game-mode.

The map itself is not too hard to beat but is very bugged so you might need to beat it a few times before the achievement pops up (if it ever does). It also has a chance to crash your game, specially near the end of part 2 after calling for extraction, so be advised.

Biotec
Patient Zero
Complete Biotec, on Extreme Difficulty in our Escape Game-mode.

Tip: This map can be hard to solo it because there are a few points where a big group of zombies will spawn and taking them out by yourself and not get surrounded is quite challenging so at least one or two friends with experience are recommended to beat this level. In the past, 4 players were required in order for the achievement to unlock, as someone already talked about it after having issues unlocking the achievement in this discussion, but recently people mention that it is not the case anymore so one can complete the map by themselves.

Camp Whitner
No Service
Complete Camp Whitner, on Normal / Extreme Difficulty in our Escape Game-mode.

This map is very opened, in comparison with other maps so you might get lost quite easily, the objectives are also somewhat far apart one from another sometimes and some of them don't really give you a useful hint to where to go. So take your time learning the map or follow someone that knows it well. The level is not the hardest one either since you can run around the zombies without much trouble but there's one point where you need to enter a garage and hold for some time, this part can be the hardest since is the a closed zone and you can't run around that much because it's a small place to hold and there will be a big wave of zombies flooding the place.

Tip: At the garage part, kill as fast as you can and use the car lifter the instant its available to be able to escape or you will get surrounded by zombies.

RoanokePD
Prison Break
Complete RoanokePD with 4 or more survivors left, on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Escape Game-mode.

At 2.1.3.4. version this achievement is glitched and although you all might survive, even if only one of you survives, the one that survived will get the achievement (maybe the ones that didn't survive will get it as well, we haven't tested that yet). Also you can get it while playing solo.

RPD Veteran
Complete RoanokePD Solo, on Normal / Hard Difficulty in our Escape Game-mode.

Tip: This map is quite easy to do on solo even on Extreme difficulty, with good aim and patience you will reach the end of the map with enough ammo to spare for all weapons. There's only 1 infinite wave of zombies and that is at the end of the level when you're waiting for extraction at the roof but still manageable, as for the extraction at the garage its a bit harder because many zombies will spawn at the same time from different places and you can get surrounded quite easily so wait outside of the garage, keep your distance with the swarm of zombies that will come from inside of it and always check your back, zombies might spawn on the upper floor and come down as well.

Barlowe Square
The Departed
Complete Barlowe Square with 4 or more survivors left, on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Escape Game-mode.

At 2.1.3.4. version this achievement is kinda bugged, although you might all escape, only the first survivor to escape will earn the achievement, so if you're playing with randoms, you might want to yeet the escape, if you're playing with friends then you will have to do the map as many times as friends you have.

Barlowe Salvation
Complete Barlowe Square Solo, on Normal / Hard Difficulty in our Escape Game-mode.

Urban Nightmare
Complete Barlowe Square, on Extreme Difficulty in our Escape Game-mode.

This map only has a few moments where it can be very annoying and difficult specially while going for the solo runs. When you get to the bank and you need to go through it to find the vault, you will encounter an infinite wave of zombies until you reach the destination going through small corridors, meanwhile you'll have to find a keycard to open a locked door within a small frame of time before you get surrounded. Then on the part 2 of the map you'll need to turn on generators (there are more generators than you need to turn on so if you're missing any, its not bugged, so you need to keep looking around while again figthing an infinite wave of zombies.

Tip: Take your time learning those two troublesome locations and the objectives, once you know exactly what to do, where to go and safe spots it will become easier to beat. You won't beat it on your first try unless you get carried by someone who knows it well.
Completing maps < Extraction >
Complete all Extractions on Aurora Estates on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Extraction Game-mode.

In this map there will be 6 houses with a group of 1-3 survivors each that you will have to extract after holding the house for a few minutes.

Tip: I find easier to defend the survivors outside of the houses, survivors have a very good aim and quite a lot of ammo so you can just make them stay on top of any car in the middle of the street and let them do the work.

Urban Hero
Complete all Extractions on Barlowe Square on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Extraction Game-mode.

This map has 9 locations with a group of 1-3 survivors as well.

This used to be a nice neighborhood!
Complete all Extractions on Montclair on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Extraction Game-mode.

Walk in the Park
Complete all Extractions on Lakeland on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Extraction Game-mode.

Your brawn and my brains
Complete all Extractions on Biotec on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Extraction Game-mode.

$1 Store
Complete all Extractions on Strip Mall on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Extraction Game-mode.
Completing maps < Flatline 1/2 >
For all Flatline maps, if you get a any weapon from the mystery box with explosive ammo, then its gg, this buff can also be dropped by riot police zombies if you're lucky. It can one-shot most zombies from far away, it doesn't even have to be a headshot and actually you don't need to hit them, just shoot at the ground near them and they will die because of the explosion, also it can take many zombies at once if they're close together. Be careful using it too close to you, it will damage you as well. You'll only need to be on the look out for the screamers as they can get close pretty fast and they take a lot of damage. Adding a ton of bots can be really helpful too since they don't run out of ammo but they can also be killed so keep that in mind.

Tip for all Flatline maps:
Waves 1-3: Kill with a melee weapon as much as you can, it will give you extra money with each kill and you won't need to buy more ammo after each wave, this will allow you to get a good gun after wave 2 so you can take care of riot police zombies easier. Also try to recycle some melee weapons or guns you find around the map that no one uses and barricade some windows or doors to get some extra bling bling, being careful that barricading the wrong door can backfire while being chased by a bunch of zombies.

Waves 4-6: Always buy a med kit (just in case), its cheap and will save you or one of your friends after a beating. By now you probably won't want to use any melee weapons because you can get easily surrounded or caught with low stamina, so recycle them as much as possible for extra money. You might also have at least one primary weapon of your choice for taking care of riot police zombies, shotguns can take off the helmet within 2-3 shots at mid range. If you've been farming good money you might as well try luck on the mystery box.

Waves 7-10: Would not recommend purchasing any turrets before these waves because they will give you less money and they're not that necessary at earlier waves. If you purchase them keep in mind that they can get stuck with only 1 zombie and be unable to kill him meaning that this 1 zombie can kill your turret and it will be 500$ vanished, so try to defend (might sound ironical) your turret so it can use all its ammo at least. One thing that you should purchase at this point is the Round Saver, which will give you a second chance after your party gets completely killed so you won't start from wave 1 right away.

TL;DR: Manage your money for the essential and save for future waves as much as you can, always be on the look for extra money. Also please keep on moving, don't get yourself get surrounded on an open space, run (if possible) around the whole map if necessary or camp on safe places with few entrances that can be barricaded or easily defended.

Stone Creek
Christmas Party
Complete Stone Creek, on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Flatline Game-mode.

Tip: With good coordination with your friends you can camp at the attic, there will be 3 windows that you can keep barricading and 2 entrances from the floor below with ladders that zombies will have to climb, the 4th window that can't be barricade won't be an entrance for zombies anyway. With more players will be easier to cover all the entrances. Running around the garden can also work but at late waves there will be a lot of zombies that can surround you easily.

Harvest
Pizza Delivery
Complete Harvest, on Normal / Extreme Difficulty in our Flatline Game-mode.

Tip: This map is quite small and there's not much room to run zombies around so your best strategy is to camp at the basement or it's entrances, barricading doors as possible. One good spot to camp is the garage, there are 2 doors which can be barricaded, one to the outside where you will see most of the zombies of the wave, and one to the inside of the house. The other good spot is the upper basement, there will be again 2 entrances, one where zombies will drop from the outside (if the players on the other spot are able to take out all the zombies on the outside, this entrance will be empty), and the other entrance is the one from the living room upstairs, this one can't be barricaded so here should always be one player covering the stairs.

We made it with 4 players, 2 on each spot to camp so one can cover the other while reloading. In this map is a requirement to find a weapon with explosive ammo so you can clear the outside of the house easily since this is the part where most of the zombies will spawn. Another thing that will help at the last wave is the trap on the outside infront of the recycler. This trap is worth $1500, so you might want to start saving on wave 8 in order to purchase this, keep in mind that the trap will electrify the fence around the outside and only lasts for roughly 30seconds, so the best option would be to wait around 20seconds after the escape arrived (the helicopter will wait next to the recycler) and then activate it so you have a safe escape.
Completing maps < Flatline 2/2 >
Unionstation
No Free Rides
Complete Unionstation, on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Flatline Game-mode.

Tip: This map is very big and you can run around it to escape from zombies although some of the corridors are not too wide to avoid zombies to surround you, other zones like the outside and the main hall are good places to run zombies around. As for now we haven't found any safe spots in this map to camp.

Clock Tower
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Complete Clock Tower, on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Flatline Game-mode.

Tip: On normal difficulty is not a big deal. Although this map can look like its a bit big, it's actually quite small, little exterior zone with only the recycler, shop and mystery box and the inside of the clocktower with 2 floors. The 2nd floor only has a corridor and a staircase that leads you to the escape of the map, which is a few floors above and there will be no zombies on your way up, it's also closed so you can't go further than the 2nd floor until the last wave. The safest spot would be on the 1st floor, as you enter the building on the furthest right side. There are 2 connected rooms at the end of the corridor with only a rescue closet each one and no other doors than the front doors. So with 2 or more players you can cover both doors knowing zombies won't come from the back.

Johan Tower
This isn't what I signed up for
Complete Johan Tower, on Normal / Extreme in our Flatline Game-mode.

As for a good spot on this map, SixthBlackWing mentioned the 2nd floor facing the stairs since that would be only one way the zombies could come from, there's also a survivor helper at the end of the hallway. The extraction point is in the lobby, the elevator in the middle with the bloody handprints.

Underground
Follow the damn train
Complete Underground, on Normal or Higher Difficulty in our Flatline Game-mode.

Southwest Bank
Rob-A-Bank
Complete Southwest Bank, on Normal / Extreme or Higher Difficulty in Flatline Game-mode.

The extraction point is on the lowest floor of the bank, there will be 3 vaults and the exit is in a small room with a metal door on the right hand at the end of the hallway

Gotta Collect 'Em All
Find and collect patient zero

there are 3 "collectibles" that you can find, scattered on 3 maps (1 on each).
Biotec, Campwhitner and Barlowe Square.
all Escape maps. Have fun looking for them :)

If you don't feel like searching every corner of those 3 maps, you will find the locations of the 3 collectibles below. The server has to be on Normal difficulty or higher for the collectibles to spawn. These collectibles can't be picked up, only used, that means that a full lobby can all get it on the same game. Keep in mind that you don't actually need to complete the whole map after getting a collectible, so if you want you can just leave the game after getting it.

Biotec

As you get to the yellow corridor (where the keycard reader is). When facing the door that requires the red keycard, head left.

There will be 2 offices at the end of the corridor, one at each side of the corridor, enter the one on the right.

The collectible will be on the floor between one shelf on the corner and a sofa next to it. Use it (default key E)

Camp Whitner

Once you find the red keycard (from the dorms, inside the first building) go to the objective door and get through it. There will be a corridor that will lead you to the next zone.

As you enter the corridor you will find a door in front of you where you can use the same keycard as well. This room is an armory where you will find guns and ammo but there are always a few zombies, maybe even a riot police zombie so be careful entering without holding a weapon.

Across the room, around the table in the middle and underneath it, right next to a box you will find the collectible, just use it.

Barlowe Square

On the second part of the map, after you have to go through the asset store and extinguish the fire blocking the fence entrance, in front of the gas station you'll come across this building, where you'll also find the keys to the underground.

By climbing the emergency stairs, jump through the window of the first apartment, cross the whole apartment and you'll get the hallway and go down the stairs to the end of the path.

The last figurine can be found sitting on top of a dumpster
Collectibles < Panic! >
Panic!
Find and collect Eugene, Marcus, Jessica and Paul

Just as the previous achievement, this time there are 4 figures of some of the characters of the game that can be found on different maps. The server has to be on Normal difficulty or higher in order to the collectibles to spawn. These collectibles can't be picked up, only used, that means that a full lobby can all get it on the same game. Keep in mind that you don't actually need to complete the whole map after getting a collectible, so if you want you can just leave the game after getting it.

Roanoke PD

Just as you spawn take the path on the right side, cross the door and inmediatly face the right side and you will see this corridor with a door at the end.

After you open it, there is a chance that you might be blocked by some table on fire, just turn around and look for a fire extinguisher and come back, then just go straight to the last door on the left.

Behind and under the desk on the other side of the room you will find Eugene.

Clock Tower (Flatline)

At spawn you will see 2 paths, one that goes inside the building and one with an opened gate that leads to the shop, take this last path and keep going straight following the path until the end.

You will eventually get to the limit of the map where you can see 2 gates. One with a mystery box right infront of it and one without it. Head to the corner of between those gates.

Behind a tree, some bushes and a rock you will find Marcus.

Barlowe Square (Extraction)
This one is a bit different because depending on where the AI spawns, you will be able to get to this figure or not. If they don't then you simply won't be able to access the building where the figure is, then just suicide until they spawn on this exact building. This one happens to be the same building where the green crowbar is found.

At the corner between Franklin Avenue and Diamond Boulevard there is a possible AI spawn. This corner is located at the top left part of the map. Keep in mind the direction of the letters on the phone to orientate yourself throught the map.

You can either enter from this door or the back door if you go though the back alley that you can see on the right side. Go up to the same apartment where the green crowbar is.

After entering, instead of going to the bathroom, where the green crowbar is, walk around the sofa in the living room and you will find Paul behind it.

Camp Whitner (Flatline)
This collectible used to be inside of one of the rescue closets but devs changed its location so no bots or more players are necessary in order to get it now. Still the new location is very close to the old one but just outside a rescue closet.

On spawn you will probably be inside this room with the drums with everyone else in the lobby.

Just turn right and through the door, keep following the path. Go through the kitchen, if you find 2 doors blocked and one of them that can be bought then you're going the wrong way, you need to go to the other side of the kitchen and exit it's back door

Eventually you will get to this hole in the wall, you'll need to unlock the wall which costs $50 so it's not a problem.

After the hole there are 3 directions you can go, take the left one and you should will some stairs going down and a corridor downstairs

Keep going though the path and you'll see some more stairs that lead outside. Right next to the stairs there are a few sofas with some planks for the nail gun.

Sitting on the chair right below the stairs is the last collectible, Jessica. As you did with the rest of the collectibles just use it and you'll be done!
Killing zombies < 1/2 >
This section will include all the achievements related to killing zombies in different ways, such as weapons or types of zombies.

ADS? What's that?
Kill a zombie with a Remington 700 that has a scope without using it

The Remington 700 (sniper) can be found on various maps and gamemodes. On Flatline you can purchase the weapon in the shop for $680 + $2000 for the Sniper Scope, which is the one required for the achievement.

On other gamemodes you'll have to be lucky to find the weapon with the correct attatchment, red dot sight and holographic sight doesn't count for the achievement

Not medicine
Kill 5 zombie doctors

You will get this achievement eventually by playing the game so don't even bother with this one. Good thing is that these zombies sometimes drop medkits or inoculators when killed. Best map to try this achievement is Biotec since some doctors will spawn there when you reach the lab, although they will spawn on all maps randomly, they are the ones with the white coat.

Looter
Kill 10 zombie looters

This one is similar to the previous one, the difference is that these zombies are clearly identifiable as they have a backpack on their back and will drop random supplies when killed.

Fire in the Hole
Kill 10 Zombies with a single grenade

The strategy is the same as the next one but with the fact that you need to calculate how you throw the grenade to not miss. Sometimes zombies with backpack can drop grenades so you can get a grenade from them, there will also be grenades randomly around the maps.

FRAGILE
Destroy 10 helmets from riot officer zombies

These zombies are the hardest ones to kill. They wear a full riot police uniform so the fastest way to kill them is by shooting at his helmet until it breaks, then their head will be open to a normal headshot. Depending on your weapon of choice you will need more or less shots to the helmet, personally I find the shotgun a good choice for these enemies, 2 or 3 shotgun shots and the helmet is done.

Need a light?
Kill 10 zombies with the flamethrower

Just set enemies on fire and wait for them to eventually die by fire. Sometimes the fire will extinguish from the zombies, just set them on fire again and keep your distance, they can still hit you while on fire. It is not clear if this weapon can appear on any other mode than Flatline.

The flamethrower is a weapon that can be purchased in the shop of Flatline mode. It costs $950, has an ammo capacity of 100 and can't be reloaded nor purchase ammo for this weapon so be smart using it. Instead you need to buy a new one, the flamethrower can be recycled when empty and will give you around $500.

Demolitions
Kill 15 Zombies with a single explosive.

This achievements means the handmade explosive (the one with the old phone attached to it). You can place it on a wall and detonate it remotely, this will allow you to gather a big group of zombies and lead them to your trap. It's not clear that you can also use a grenade for this one, but still the handmade explosive should be easier to get it with.

Sleeping Princess
Kill 20 zombies with firearms that has silencers

Silencers, as any other attachments, are randomize when you pick up or buy a weapon. It is supposed to be available on any map or gamemode. So far I've tested it on Flatline by either buying the gun on the shop or finding one on the map (on Harvest there is a room on the second floor that you can open with Boltcutters, one can find them on the garage. Inside the room there are 2 Scars, explosives, med kits and ammo), so it's about luck whether you get a silenced gun or not so just keep buying weapons until you find one.

You know, I'm a bit of a scientist myself
Kill 20 zombies with a crowbar

For this achievement you will need a crowbar, keep in mind that it CAN'T BE THE GREEN CROWBAR FROM THE ACHIEVEMENT "GREEN IS MY COLOUR" , the kills with this crowbar won't count towards the achievement. Also while doing this achievement with my friends, we had an issue with the host not getting the achievements but everyone else did, might just be that one time but just keep that in mind too.

Monster Under The Bed
Kill 25 crawling zombies

Crawling zombies are usually the ones without legs, it has been confirmed that removing zombie's legs with shotguns or grenades and then killing them count towards the achievement

I got my own backup!
Let the Turret and/or Survivor AI kill 25 zombies

This turret can be found on Flatline game-mode. You will need 500$ to purchase them and find a button to place the turret, these buttons are spread around them map and will have a lighter colour as they are interactable. These turrets are not invincible and will run out of ammo eventually so use them wisely if you're going for the Flatline's achievements.

Chill out
Kill 25 zombies with a Fire Extinguisher

The Fire Extinguisher is not meant for killing hence won't deal a lot of damage. The only way to hit with it is by using the melee attack (default key V) and it's not clear that you can perform a stealth kill with this "weapon". The easiest way to do this is obviously on easy difficulty since the enemies will deal little damage with each hit. You can only use melee attacks with it and before getting this you will unlock the next achievement.
Killing zombies < 2/2 >
Knockout!
Knockdown 50 zombies

To knockdown enemies you have to hit them with the melee attack (default key V) with any weapon. This might not always work and they might not always get knockdown, so go for easier difficulties to avoid struggling with this achievement. An easy method that I found to achieve this is by using the fire extinquisher. Be careful since the animation is too slow so enemies can hit you. On easy difficulty, the first 2 hits on a zombie will knock him out, the third will kill him.

Silent But Deadly
Kill 50 zombies using a melee weapon's stealth kill ability.

To perform a stealth kill with a melee weapon you need to get behind a zombie and press the melee attack (default key V), killing the zombie with the regular attack (default key LMB) or the charged attack (default key RMB) will not count towards this achievement. You will know when you did it correctly when the camera goes to 3rd person and your stamina bar goes all the way down after the kill.

Knee Deep in the Zed
Kill 50 zombies with the Double Barrel Shotgun

See Boomstick From Hell to know how to get the double barrel shotgun

Marksman
Kill 100 Zombies with the scoped bolt action rifle

As this doesn't mention any exclusive game-mode, it should be doable all across all game-modes and not within a single match. Sniper kills count for this achievement as well.
Contagion on the go!
Contagion on the go!
Complete any Escape map on the SteamDeck.

If you own a SteamDeck, the achievement is very self-explanatory and any difficulty should do.
If you don't own a Steam Deck, like the rest of us mortals, fear not because the devs were kind enough to give us a solution for those hunting achievements.
Originally posted by Wuffsan (developer):
For those who are only there for achievements, just launch the game with "-steamdeck" once the update drops.

Goes without saying that if you do own a controller, you can skip this next command as you will be able to navigate the menus with the controller. But if it does not work (as people have experienced) or if you don't own a controller, there's a way to make it work with KBM too.
Originally posted by Wuffsan (developer):
note: if you got no controller (which it needs), start with the console "-console" and simply write "map ce_biotec" on the console to launch Biotec directly. (custom ce_ maps works too).

If needed here are the steps to set it up:

First right click on Contagion and open the properties window. Then at the "General" tab type in "-steamdeck -console" at the bottom as the rightmost image shows. Launch the game and you'll be able to type in "map ce_insert map name here" in the console and play the map normally.

If you have any issues with the mouse not working properly when in-game, try typing this command on the console "cl_allow_mouse_docked 1", this should fix it
