How to Fix Blurred Pictures

Read this guide to learn how to sharpen blurred photos in no time. The program enables you to sharpen a whole photo or just a selected part.

Open a Photo

Click Browse for Images to find the photo that needs editing. You can also drag and drop the photo you want to edit into the program workspace.

Make a Blurred Picture Clear

• To sharpen an image, use the sliders on the right side of the screen in the Adjust tab. Sharpness allows you to focus on the texture and change the contrast of your photos.
  
• The Details slider will make the details in your picture pop. Try not to overdo it, otherwise your photograph may become grainy.

Sharpen Part of a Photo

To restore the sharpness of part of a photo, use one of these Selection Tools:

• Selection Brush is for manual selection
  
• Lasso Tool lets you select an object by tracing its outline
  
• Polygonal Lasso Tool lets you select an object by tracing its outline using straight lines
  
• Magic Wand Tool helps select areas of similar colors
  
• Rectangular Marquee Tool is for a rectangular selection
  
• Selection Eraser lets you refine your selection process

Once you’ve defined the area that needs enhancement, move the Sharpness and Details sliders to edit out the blurriness.

Save the Result

• Click Save in the bottom right corner of the program.
  
• Type in a file name and choose the folder where you want to save your photo. You can also set the image quality if you save the file in JPEG format. Hit Save.
