Mason Dixon Trucking pack

Descrição
Mason Dixon Freightlines Pack

By Southland Mods - E. Daigle

Part of the Fallen Flags Collection, more to come

Back in the day, some companies hauled freight only one way and returned empty, sorry this doesnt work very well in the trucking industry. One man by the name
of E. Ward King learned this as his first and most important lesson. In 1932, Mr. King, Roy Moore, and Tyson Steele each bought a tractor and trailer on credit.
They operated from Kingsport, Tn to New York City. This was the very beginnings of Mason-Dixon Lines. Within the first three years, five terminal cities were added. The companies very first carrier acquisition was C. Murdock Lines of Dalton, Ga, along with Motor Transfer Co. in 1936.
During WWII Mason-Dixon faced many of the same problems that many other carriers of the time faced, which was labor and material shortages. After the war, Mason-Dixon prospered with new equipment and by building new terminals. In 1957, Mason-Dixon acquired Robinson Transfer Motor Lines, a tank hauling operation, and renamed it Mason-Dixon Tank Lines. By 1960, a big step was taken with the purchase of Silver Fleet Motor Express of Louisville,Ky.
Mason-Dixon continued prosperous operations throughout the 60's and by 1969, purchased Yankee Lines of Akron,Oh. Sadly in 1977, Ward King, age 81 and founder of Mason-Dixon Lines, passed away.
After 50 years of operation, by 1982, Mason-Dixon was suffering from a bad economy and deregulation of the trucking industry, and in 1984, Chapter 11 took over

Hey everyone, While Im not officially asking anyone to pay for my paintjobs, be aware that some of them take quite a while to make and test to be sure they are correct and completely error free, if you want to donate anything for them its totally up to you, but they will continue to be free regardless

Nice paint jobs on the whole series. As kid I seem to recall a dark blue Mason Dixon like the red. This would be just before they got bought out.
Oh an out of the blue question. Have you or anyone done a Consolidate Fright skin.
Wish I could remember Alvan Frightline's paint. Exspeicaly scents I grew up so close to the main office. And knew a lot of the drivers.

not a problem, glad to provide some nostalgia of the past. I have a huge list of fallen flag carriers that I have plans to release packs for, if I can get period correct trucks and trailers for them. There are quite a few trucks in the works that Im waiting for, to be released so I can add them to packs already done and future packs to come
