How to Edit any Character's Relationship

This guide will help you edit any character's relationship with the player.

How to Edit the Relationship Level

First go to files, and navigate to
C:\Users\yourUsername\AppData\Roaming\StardewValley\Saves\yourSave

When you open your save, (Open it in Note Pad), press Ctrl+F on your key board to bring up the search menu and type in the character you want to edit. After cycling through you will eventually come across something like this: <string>Penny</string></key><value><ArrayOflnt><int>2500</int>
Change the number between the first <int> and the second </int> to what ever you want as long as its under 2500. 2500 = 10 hearts

A little hint, there may be several <string>Penny</string> lines, under 1.4 version (not sure about earlier versions) you can find one followed by <friendship>, this is the one you want to edit, just ignore the other lines you searched.

For the single characters, even if you change the points to 2500, you only get 8 hearts when you login back to the game. You will need to send them flowers to unlock 9th hearts, then you can come back to the command to change it to 2500 (again)

@Saardiner, yeah be careful you can corrupt the files by tampering with them if you don't know what you're doing.

Press the windows key and then type %appdata%
This will take you straight to the roaming folder. Then you can click on Stardew Valley folder and go to your saves.

I tried to warp reality so Abigail wasn't my wife, but in this event of code editing I got it so she isn't married to me and doesn't hate me, however, she is now is stuck in a wall above my kitchen so only her head is visible.
