Combination Magic! (Dual-coloured spells)
I've sorted these by the class the spell is taught in. Once you have the stats, you have to take the correct class to actually learn the spell! I'm not sure if dual-spells are taught in both classes with different stat requirements - it's a possibility. But these are the ones that I found that worked, with the lowest requirements I could find.
EDIT: Seems the requirements for the off-colours have been reduced a little. Thanks to Kateye for the updated numbers on mixed-school spells!

Final Notes
I think I managed to find all the spells, but I’m never sure with MD and its secrets! I don’t believe Smart affects anything, but I could be wrong. If you notice any of my numbers are off, let me know and I’ll fix it up, likewise if there’s anything I missed.
**Edit - fixed mana costs of spells to reflect price when not wearing an appropriate-coloured charm
**Additional edit - if you're having trouble getting a particular spell, assume my numbers are slightly off. I did my best to narrow it down but sometimes I have picked up a spell and rounded down too far (I am not a diligent note-taker, and have the attention span of a gnat.) So, consider these more of a guideline that a hard-and-fast how-to, and if you can't get a particular spell, assume I have done a silly and that you'll need to bump your numbers a smidge higher.

As you can tell, I love the magic of the game, and exploring its various possibilities. With that in mind, please join me in the comments for some magic discussion, if you’d like!
My starter topic - what’s your go-to method of getting past that purple glow in the moth dungeon? I feel like there’s gotta be more that I’m missing. The obvious one is televoke, to set it off from a distance, or use seeker sting to the same end. But on runs with only one colour of magic, I’ll admit, I’ve brute-forced it more often than not. On all-red runs, it’s a wipe unless I build up enough health to tank the glow and the moths. Blue runs are easy, since silence evades the moth problem. Green runs are hit-or-miss, depending on health-mana ratio, getting through the cloud alive with enough mana to either entangle or blind the moths. White runs involving tanking the glow and then Tap The Flow-ing to get enough mana to distract or fear the moths. And black runs I feel like I’m missing an obvious tactic with stone shape, but I can’t figure out the mana/health balance to get past the glow and then wall in the moths.
I’m super interested to see how other people deal with this particularly interesting dungeon beyond the simple “have 5 blue magic before then” tactic!
Also, how do people find themselves getting across the lava with different colours in the ghost-wolf dungeon with the different colours!
Less specifically – what’s your favourite must-have spell? And what spells have you never found any use for?

Cast stone shape. Make a sphere, cast push on it and it triggers the purple glow. Then you can pass safely.

Oooh, thankee. I've fixed up the numbers on that spell :D I'll also add a note that the numbers are my closest guess, because I'm usually wearing a coloured amulet and making largish gains in class, which could also be muddying my numbers.
Thanks @HanakoGames for chipping in and helping out my humble lil guide. Makes me feel the love as a customer to see a dev care <3

In my notes Burn Magic is 65 Blue 20 Red and those notes haven't been changed since before the game launched. I can't be sure (because my memory is swiss cheese sometimes) but I don't remember changing any thresholds in updates.

I think there may simply be confusion sometimes because it's not explicitly clear when a new spell triggers, especially if you're in the wrong class at the time.

I think I do recall on my last replay a few months ago noticing that some of the numbers/spells were changed with an update, alas. But I am glad that someone's still getting use out of it! Thank you for the comment :D

I've never managed to get Burn Magic despite having the listed numbers, so I'm not sure what's happening there. :/

That said, thank you so much for this guide; it's been incredibly useful :)

With the purple glow i found by accident that you can win by just waiting, the dwarf will free its self. Also you can stone shape the wall the the left of the glow to create a passage but then you have to dig several times to get back meaning it take s about 90 mana

Huh. Seems like that's not the only one. My first guess would be that the requirements on combo spells have been changed, because a quick run-through gave me all the blue-white spells before I'd even gotten to 40 white. Looks like I might have a big edit incoming with the new numbers.
