For example, if it were to say "[Val] thinks of Brad as her [Husband's Brother]", you could change the "[Val]" and the "[Husband's Brother]" terms, but not the "Brad".
It *should* be possible to go in and change every mention of Brad to your preference or even to a variable [Brad] so that the 'name' file would work on it. But it would require you to manually go through the entire script and change the hundreds or thousands of lines of code containing references to Brad instead of changing a variable once like this mod allows.
If you or anyone else wants to put that effort in, please post it.
I thank you in advance for your willingness to help me.
Moral conflict avoided. Thank you so much!
Unfortunately not. I've messed around with other names/terms on the list a lot, but never caught any results.
Even though there's not much voicing (as mostly for expressions/flavor rather than dialog), those recorded lines do mention characters by name. My guess is they ended up hard-coded into the game at some point despite still looking changeable.
Just post the full name list for easy copy/paste, create a title/description if you'd like, and I'll go ahead and add it to the guide's list of templates and credit you too (unless you'd prefer not).
