A guide to fix the playtime problem

Go to your GTL Folder

1. Look for the sudo.exe --> rename it to sudo.exe.backup (make it into a "Backup-file"
2. Make a copy!!! of the GTL.exe file
3. Rename the GTL Copy.exe to sudo.exe

(works with GTR2 too)

If GTL didnt start properly then try this:

Locate your steam.exe file and check the "Run as administrator" flag in the compatibility mode tab.

Then when you launch the game, it has all Steam features (FPS counter, overlay, screenshot capture and playtime counter).

This did not work for me, as paul i ended up just getting the graphics options every time, and the steam.exe admin thing did not fix it for me

how do i get the mirrors on my cars to work?
all i can activate is the fake rear view letter box type

it worked for me by renaming the file sudo.exe and also using the dgvoodoo program.

OK I finally found the solution both in Windows 7 32bits and Windows 10 64 bits.

Locate your steam.exe file and check the "Run as administrator" flag in the compatibility mode tab.

Then when you launch the game, it has all Steam features (FPS counter, overlay, screenshot capture and playtime counter).

You can edit your guide in order to include this.

I have tried but didn't work for me. It just show me the graphical options, I click OK and it show the graphical options again and again, so yes it's counting the time but i cannot play the game. Any idea/workaround?
