How to earn cash, how to not waste cash. (Feel Free To Explnd On It)
By Elvenkind
I'n the beginning of the game, level 1, you might want to just build roads, an enourmous amount of roads, while not bothering with electricity, connecting the electricity, water intake, sewer or pipes between all these. Instead just get a really good start with roads, so you will make sure that you probably will get not just 1 bot 2 or 3 milestones when you place zones in them. Hoever, without power and water, people move out again, but eventually you get a notice where you get offered 50K $ in a bail. So the game always give a second chance, (do anyone know if this option are available later in the game, I mean more then 1 time?) Personally I haven't seen any sign of this, so the SMARTEST is to save the baili for a later point in the game, like when you have been plaing a week, and suffenly get a tsunami along with flood-earthquake-meteorshower etc. and need to build up again.

Don't overexpand, don't build roads filling a whole map if you have 5% buildings there, becuase roads coast. And keep a watch on the demands for residential, commercial and incustrial. There's simply no point in filling the whole screen with green, blue and yellow if there's no need for it, then you only waste money. The correct way when building up new buildings, is that the Cims get desperate and buy everything at once. Not because it's so expenvice to get a few more, but becuase you'll need

Not rarely you will need the first loan, and not unlikely you will need the second, but do yourself a favor and repay the first with the money from the second, so you have a reserve, and also do _all_ you can to NOT spend anymore on loans. Be sure, eventually, that the surplus is ticking up and up and up until there's more then you can think of spending on anthing.

On second milestone put taxes on residential, commercial and industrial to 12%, since 13% or higher will make all the poeple leave. Later though, when your residents or other have really valuable housing you can experiement with 13% or higher. And just 1% extra tax really make you notice the money stating to pile up.

If you are using windmills, do remember to put them on 8KW wind zones, but if you notice that even this is not enough, then

Try to not build all the new things at once when you get to a new milestone. First milestone you absolutely need electrocity and water. The second one you need someone to get the waste. But scool, police and health-clinic you might wait with, or safe money and put one down if it's emergency. The same with school. For example with C.S.Industries it's a plus to have low-educated wokers in agriculture and forestry, only later you'll need someone with high school, collage and university education. However those with high education and good jobs also seem to demand expensive houses, and this is also a plus, since the rent go into the account you yourself have access too. And here it's the same with parks and monuments (IF you can afford them) because these raise the value of the properties around, hence higher rent for you.

Start early with Agriculture, Forestry or both, make sure not to build too close togehter in these zones, but have room for trailers to drive around and deliver and load. Remember that I think ALL the factories don't need to be on fertile land, and the same with the warehouses. But some warehouses need items from other factories, so I don't think it's a bad idea to place factories close to each other, and also warehouses that all ingrigrient can be gotten to make everything in the city and completely stop import, and make so much that exxport starts piling up.

While you are waiting for a new business to get on it's way to 5 stars, then build a huge park or two or three. Start with a low rent, and eventually put it on top. Be extra careful when buildfing sidewalks inside the amusement parks, that the roads don't end in a fence, and then make the road on the other side - because of some very well lasting bug - stick into the road of the one inside the park, and this make people able to just walk over the fence, and you won't get anything in.

Other money-machines that have been released is Concerts (not so much) and of course Campus, where there's sports competitions for exmple.

I guess there's also more tourists in the school-days. But with Nightlife there's both tourism and nightlife/leaisure. Tourists like parks and monuments. So in case of lots of them each year, absolutely put up guide-tours on bus, and walking trip, where it's smart to arrange these walks such as they can move in a cirle and get to see so much as possible during the time.

With leasure this is somethihng the whole city enjoy. There's dozens of freetime activities that all of them turn into $$$.

I HOPE SOME OF YOU HAD ANY USE IN THIS GUIDE WITH ALL I COULD THINK OF - AT THE MOMENT - WITH MY BEST WISHES THAT ANYONE WILL ENJOY THIS GAME AS MUCH AS ME.
