Working as of patch 0.5.8.3 (April 16)


Start a new game and then exit to main menu. Copy and paste the text vomit over your save file. Load game. Saves are in "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\StoneShard\characters". The file you want is in folders like "Dirwin_1"

You start with every tier 1 book. You have 0 gold in your purse but selling the books after reading them nets you around 360. You have 6 AP which is what everyone has.

If you want to try editing I wrote some instructions.

This will probably make the game easier so be warned. Back up your saves.




You kinda can play as verren now.

Google drive link to saves and container

1. Backup your saves if you need to.
2. Start a new game and then exit to main menu.
3. Go to the google drive link and download the character's start txt
4. Go to "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\StoneShard\characters" and open the character folder you're using "autosave_1".
5. Delete the current "character.sav" with the text file and rename the text file "character.sav" to replace it
6. Do the same thing but with the container txt files with "containers.sav"
6. Now you can load your game.

I changed Verren's name to the Dirwin's. Dialogue option variations are tied to your name and Verren's breaks things.

Also gave Verren Dirwin's trait, it's more generally useful but you can change detailed further below.

Trait Replacement

You can edit your save to change your trait. Maybe you wanted to have sharp eye on the knight or whatever. Backup your saves.

Fun fact: Your voice is tied to your playerClass. Shouting while using the sorceress's passive gives you a feminine voice.

Look for playerClass and replace the text with something else

Some Minor Save Editing

Since someone asked. Remember to backup your saves.

Go to "C:\Users\Steven Ngo\AppData\Local\StoneShard\characters\charactername_1" and open "character.sav" with a text editor.

You can paste the whole GameSlot1.sav into it and it'll make it easier to look through.

Most of the variables are pretty self explanatory. CTRL + F is your friend.

Gold
Find the moneybag in your inventory and edit the stack variable. Max gold per bag is 2k
ex:

look for:

"STR": x
"AGL": x
"PRC": x
"Vitality": x
"WIL": x
"AP": x
"SP": x

Try not to go overboard, the Stoneshard's early game is really fun and the game's not tuned to power levels much past the start.

Hey autor, i just did the "Google drive link to saves and container" thing and end up not having any quests available. Plus, when i get to a dungeon (didn't test more than 1) i get error messages then the game crashes. Any idea? Used: FemKnightStart and same container

computer was hacked and chopped took 4 mo. to get a replacement lost everything including 23+ yrs photos of family alive and dead .still haven't reloaded this new comp.is a wimp box,tears running down face!

Ah, no worries, I get what you mean now. Yeah, I dunno where you'd find how an item looks inside save files without getting one in game. Thankfully for me the treatices are pretty easy to find.

well the only method i know of is copying and pasting items you found from containers and merchants.
otherwise there are items in the files either harder to find or not quite in but functional, i dont know of any way to properly copy them without breaking their behavior/stats.
if im still confusing im not gonna type essays on it and spam lol would take too much explaining

have you figured out how to Properly Paste/Edit/Put items into containers with their actual properties?
this is the only thing i struggle with tinkering around with.
Or are you really just putting every value by hand ?
