Farm shadow Cores for talismans (low level + video)
By me2tal
This guide was made to continuously get a lot of shadow cores, since talismans fragments requires a lot.
I made an average of 220 shadow cores/min at wizard level 120 and if you don't already have Boatload of Cores, you will probably get it.

Obviously this becomes easier and more profitable with more wizard levels, mana and skill points. But I made it through the bottleneck that made me stuck in the game by this - hope it helps out.

Strep guide
1. Go down to D1 (O4>P4>L5>H4>E4>D1)
2a. Do endurance on D1 to unlock Ritual Battle Trait
2b. Do endurance on D5 to unlock Seeker Sense Skill
3. Do map W1 on Journey (because short and easy)
3a. Another good map is W4 (Suggestion from comments, and it works quite well)
4 Setup towers
4a. Move around poison tower (lvl 4-5) to shadows
4b Freeze shadows
4c Infuse poison tower with beam
5 ???
6 Achievement and Profit

I make an average of 220 Shadow cores a minute (2 min ish and 320-830 cores) per run.

The basics

Suggestions for higher Wizard levels, or once you are farming efficiently (thanks to @Court in comments)
Masonry>Overcrowding>Corrupt Banishment>>Strength in Numbers
Hope this helps

Thank you for this! I can get like 1.5k shadow cores every two or three minutes with this farming method, it beats doing normal endurance runs hoping to get over 3k in half an hour.

In regards to maps and unlocks this guy made a really nice overview that I find more detailed.

I mainly made this guide as a suggestion to how with a low wizard level I could make some fast shadow cores and I thought it might be helpfull to other people.

I just starting playing the game so I was working on step 1. When I got to L5 it says it won't let me do it until I have the beam (at field X4), barrage (at M3), and freeze skill tomes (at Y3). So... you might have to add in a step 1.5 or something for new players to be able to do L5 and continue towards D1. I'm going to work towards unlocking those grid points but it wouldn't hurt if someone more experienced told me what fields to do to unlock

That is way later than when I hit my wall (around 120 ish).
Yeah Cores to upgrade fragments, and then the realization of the pattern for the fragments, which I still think was quite clever.

Yeah A1 seems to be the best place to farm fragments as to my knowledge, in journey mode.

Does it seem overall easier after the latest patch or is it just because I have taken a break about 2 months? (No I didn't convert into Chilling).

I don't remember. About WL300 is when I hit a brick wall and I started looking for ways to change how I was playing. First step was getting enough cores to finish the board. Now I'm running A1 regularly trying to get decent level fragments.

Good points, as far as I recall I was stuck without Crit when I started to farm. But yes the Dark Masonry is something I forgot to mentioned I used for waves less than 10 and was one of the main reason I personally prefered W1 over W4 as a lower wizard level.

@Court; at which approximate wizarld level did you obtain Critical hit gem?

I wanted to suggest for this gudie the most basic of farming but Dark Masonry>Overcrowding>Corrupt Banishment>>Strength in Numbers are very good suggestions that I will add.

Similar method. I put skills points in Crit, and Seeker. Create a tower at the beginning and at the end. Start ALL Rounds (Crtl+Click) immediately. Put beam on the first tower should kill most spawns if not all. As you get more skill points put them in demolish to help do clean up faster. At

Another note. Use 12 Dark Masonry. Since theres less than 10 rounds its FREE points. Recommend Overcrowding, Corrupt Banishment, and (later Strength in Numbers).

At WL300 I was pulling 500-1500 Cores. By WL500 I was pulling 2500-3000. Same process works in ANY map that has a low number of total waves (like the W4 you mentioned).
