Tips if you are lagging so bad on Half Life 2
By Fuserna and 2 collaborators
The point of this guide is to stop lag for players that has low graphics or low computers that arent really good such as nvidia drivers.
It really helps if you follow one of the tips on my guide.

Sometime if you really want a HD graphics on a low computer, you can solve my tips and problems. And It's pretty fun when your looking on Half Life: Alyx (but it does require more graphics then usual)

And I can tell if its not working, please ask me some questions below comments! :)

Enjoy!

Tip 1: Make Sure To Use Recommended Graphics if needed
Ever TOOOOOOO laggy? No problem. This is the right place for you. If you go to your options and you check your thing. You might see this..

For Example:
You click pause right?
Good, then you go to video..
Then you'll see advanced.
Then if you see * Your actually good to go!
But it is actually recommend if you are never
paying attention.

There is this video for each types of Valve makes.

I understand it is old but it still works today!

Your welcome! :)
Tip 2: Use One of the Launch Options
Launch options is really just a thing for the game so if you need a more type of a FPS for on Lunch Options then your also in the right place.

First..

Go to Steam Library..
Then go to the Game (Half Life 2)
Then Right click on the game and
literally click properties
You'll see a lunch options so click it it.
Then you'll see its for advanced users only
and this is important.

If you don't know what to put to stop lag (then ask me to join and edit the Guide)

So here's some I found:
-dxlevel 80 +mat_antialias 0
mat_picmip 10

(From the video)
(This also helps with your productions and trying to do its own thing without even a gaming laptop or a desktop.)

Tips 3: Get a better driver or buy a Gaming Laptop
I understand that you won't buy a gaming laptop or a good driver. Drivers are important because it's looking to find some space and see the system requirements.

If you need a better system requirement. Usually get a good gaming laptop about $600 to higher. This will improve your gaming laptop and it can storage some files around and around.

But if you don't wanna buy, you can try to bypass the system like again in Tip 1 or 2.

are you saying Nvidia drivers are not that good because your Lenovo laptop can't run Half Life 2? that's not even funny. "dxlevel 80" will run game in DirectX 8 compatibility, how it supposed to improve video driver performance on Windows 10? W10 does not have native support even for DirectX 9, leave alone 8. do you have Lenovo T60 or something that ancient?

I'd just like to ask what you mean when you are talking about GPU drivers, because you don't pay for them and drivers don't make a GPU better, they only serve as bug fixes to previous drivers or to make the card more optimised. Although it might just be some bad English that i'm misinterpreting.

How can you still have a computer that can't run HL2 great, i have seen laptops that cost 300$ and can run the game just fine.
