[Spoilers] Timeline of Events

This is a full timeline of all the events that happen in the game. This guide is FULL of SPOILERS. Please only use this to piece together what happened, or if you do not care about spoilers.

August 2017

August 15, 2017

Married couple David and Emma role-play as "Isabella" and "Alex" over webcams. They get interrupted by their daughter, Alba, who wants to sleep in Emma's bed.

David, an undercover FBI agent, moves into an apartment in Detroit, MI, and recites his cover story to his boss, Mike. David's role is to pretend to be an environmental activist and infiltrate Green Storm, a radical environmental group.

Alba tells David that she has a loose tooth.

August 18, 2017

David stakes out the Jasmine Center in his car and watches Ava Martin (FBI code name "Snow White") enter the building. He recites a dossier about her.

August 22, 2017

Emma pulls out Alba's loose tooth while Alba sleeps. David tries to get her to start up their "Alex" and "Isabella" role-pla,y but Emma says she's too tired.

August 23, 2017

David meets Maxine (who goes by "Rose Red") while browsing a camming site. He pays to take her into a private talk and he tells her he just moved to Detroit. He seems to only want to talk to her instead of participate in sexual acts.

August 29, 2017

David talks to his boss, Mike, about not-so-coincidentally "meeting" Ava Martin at the record store where she works and seeing her again at the Jasmine Center.

David calls Ava while she's locking up at the record store. She sings to him and jokes he's stalking her because they've met twice in the same week.

September 2017

September 8, 2017

David goes to a meeting at the Jasmine Center and talks to John, the organizer. Ava is also in attendance at the meeting. Ava asks David on a date to get drinks while they chat at the refreshments table.

September 14, 2017

Off-camera, Ava goes over to David's apartment, but leaves abruptly.

David tells Ava his "story" (lie) of not wanting to be a cop like the rest of his family. He says his friend recently died of an overdose, which is why he moved out to Detroit to start over.

Ava talks about being in a band as a teen and says her mom worked for American Axle before moving to Florida, but isn't really an activist. Ava apologizes for leaving David's apartment suddenly and confesses she's attracted to David, which David reciprocates. She dances for him on camera and masturbates.

Emma tells David that Steven, the new anesthesiologist at her work, asked her on a date. David pretends to be jealous about it. Emma says her mother, Laura, is scheduled to visit tomorrow.

David chats with Maxine, and she tells him she was a ballerina in France (lie).

September 15, 2017

Emma calls David, who is still sleeping at noon. They argue about David leaving his family for his undercover assignment. Emma tells him that her mother, Laura, suddenly moved in instead of just visiting. Laura appears to have dementia and mistakes David for her husband, Daniel, when she talks with him.

Ava and David talk about how special last night was.

October 2017

October 10, 2017

David chats with Maxine about being a special agent and wanting to be one since high school. He pays her to tell him her name and she says Michelle (lie), but won't answer more questions.

October 30, 2017

Alba is in her Aurora Halloween costume. Emma misses David and is annoyed with her mom, Laura. She tells David he needs to be here for Thanksgiving and Alba's piano recital.

October 31, 2017

David asks Ava to sing for him, but she declines out of nervousness. Ava is dressed as Freddie Mercury for Halloween. They discuss who David should dress up as.

November 2017

November 1, 2017

Ava and David attend a Jasmine Center meeting about attending a rally. David argues with John, the leader, about his desire to be more aggressive in fighting against Nazis. David and Ava leave the meeting after the disagreement.

November 3, 2017

Emma tells David she's worried Laura, her mom, has dementia, but Laura won't go to the hospital after Laura's husband, Daniel's, bad experience with hospitals. David pressures Emma to take Laura to the doctor.

David and Ava have a Skype movie night date.

David cams with Maxine and tells her he wanted to become a cop when he was a teen and his dad took him to work. She tells him about her (lie) husband, "Max" who abused her and is now in prison.

November 4, 2017

David attends a rally, and gets into fight with the police. He sees Eric and Peter, two Green Storm members, at the rally.

David talks to Ava about wanting to focus his activist efforts on stopping Prosperen, a large corporation, from finishing a natural gas pipeline. Ava is worried about him getting too involved like Eric, who she considers a friend.

Ava shows up at David's apartment, and he lets her in.

November 5, 2017

David's face is bruised and cut from the fight with the police, and he has a missing tooth. He asks Alba to not tell Emma about his missing tooth.

Emma tells David that Laura forgot about Alba and left her in the bath. David and Emma argue about how bad Laura's dementia has gotten. Emma worries about David's safety, wants him to come home.

November 6, 2017

David reports in to his boss, Mike, saying he and Ava are going to Silver Ridge with Ava's friend Eric, and ex Peter. David that there's bad blood between Ava and Eric and Peter. Mike says to focus on them for Phase 3 of the assignment.

November 9, 2017

David talks to Maxine about using undercover names for his job. They only change their last name, and keep their same first name. Maxine tells him she used to sell real estate in New York, and a friend introduced her to camming. She says she'll tell David her real name if he keeps watching her.

November 17, 2017

Alba, Emma, and Laura are having a picnic. Alba and Emma play hide and seek with David while Laura sleeps. David tells Emma that he won't be home for Thanksgiving, and Emma hangs up on him.

November 23, 2017 - THANKSGIVING

Emma is drunk and irritated that David missed Thanksgiving. She references "only shoot to kill" while talking to David, who gets very upset. Alba briefly talks to David before waking up Laura, who is asleep on the couch. Laura again mistakes David for her late husband, Daniel.

Ava and David camp out at Silver Ridge in protest of the pipeline and make a video urging others to get involved. They conceive a baby.

November 27, 2017

Maxine convinces David to call her on the phone instead of video chatting. David tells her how he killed an "abusive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" once, and it was personal. Maxine tells David how she met her husband "Max" because he convinced her to help him blackmailed a cop by recording him and Maxine having sex.

November 28, 2017

Emma records Alba's piano recital for David. Alba messes up and runs off stage.

Ava is nervous to perform at a concert while camping at Silver Ridge. David and Ava attend the protest concert Silver Ridge, where Ava sings in front of an audience.

December 2017

December 1, 2017

David reports in to his boss, Mike, about his plans to meet the Green Storm Organizing Group. Mike tells David the FBI is getting their intelligence from Black Kite. They appear to have a friendly rivalry with Black Kite.

December 15, 2017

David meets up with Eric and Peter to play video games and talk about doing more to fight against Prosperen. Ava and The Jasmine Center want to be more peaceful. David can shoot very well.

January 2018

January 11, 2018

David drives Eric, Chris, Wesley, and Peter somewhere in his van. They talk about escalating their efforts against Prosperen. Eric doesn't want to do as much to escalate as the others want.

January 24, 2018

Ava, David, and Peter go to a party at Eric's house. Peter is super creepy to Ava and makes her uncomfortable. She doesn't tell David what happened, but asks to leave with him.

February 2018

February 1, 2018

David invites Eric over to hang out. Eric says Wesley is jealous that David now drives their group around. David asks what the deal with Peter is. Eric says Peter date raped Ava when she was under 18. Eric never did anything out of fear the cops would take their group down, but feels bad about it now.

February 2, 2018

Ava and David chat about Peter. Ava says Peter is a ♥♥♥♥, but is evasive. David asks when he'll meet Ava's mom. Ava says her mom lives in Florida.

David finds out Maxine has been lying when he sees her camming as a different persona, with a wig and without an accent. He is very annoyed but she brushes this off and tries to win him over again.

February 14, 2018 - VALENTINE'S DAY

David tells Ava that Eric told him what Peter did to her. Ava says she was in a relationship with Peter at the time and that she wants to decide for herself if she's a victim of a crime. Ava is angry at him, but softens when David asks her to move in with him.

David sends Emma lingerie and she gets upset at him, and says they didn't have sex last time he came home. David notices roses behind Emma and Emma says someone from work gave them to her.

February 16, 2018

Emma asks David how he is able to lie to people while on assignment. She asks him if he's slept with anyone, he says no (lie). She says she hasn't slept with anyone either (lie).

February 17, 2018

David tells Alba a bedtime story. Emma said she screwed Steven, the anesthesiologist at her work. She asks David what he's been doing, and accuses him of lying.

February 19, 2018

David talks to Maxine, who thanks him for his gift of a new wig. She asks him what happened to "the creep."

February 22, 2018

David tries to convince Mike that beating up Peter makes his cover better. David mentions that Karen, another agent, messed up the plan. He says Ava is moving in to help them truly look like a couple.

February 23, 2018

Ava and David make a video urging people to harass stockholders of Prosperen to hurt them financially, hurting the pipeline construction.

February 26, 2018

David unknowingly buys a hypnotism cam show with Maxine. He plays along. She thanks him for the wig. David asks her to tell her real name and she says it's Melissa.

February 28, 2018

David asks Harry, an old contact, for a favor to get drugs.

David tells Ava he's staying with his sister (lie, he's with Emma). Ava says she didn't tell David about what happened Peter because she was angry with the group and herself for it happening.

March 2018

March 3, 2018

Mike gives David a boat to use for the mission and tells him to treat Chris, the Black Kite consultant, like a member of the FBI team. David wants Mike to delete the footage of him beating up Peter and take Chris off the assignment. David is becoming nervous unhinged.

David drives Eric, Wesley, and Chris somewhere. They say Peter's apartment was raided and they found drugs. Chris and David try to convince the other two that Prosperen set Peter up.

March 4, 2019

David tries to call Emma but Laura answers instead. She keeps calling him Daniel, and brings up Paul, one of Emma's ex-boyfriends. Laura says everyone Emma dates after meeting them at the hospital has something wrong with them.

March 10, 2018

Steven, the anesthesiologist, is over at Emma's house and talks to her about sedating Emma's mother, Laura, while Alba records herself playing. They don't know that they're being recorded.

March 11, 2018

David tells Alba Rumpelstiltskin as a bedtime story.

March 12, 2018

David exposes Chris to the Green Storm Organizing Group as Simon McMillan, a Black Kite Logic employee, and implies he's a spy for Prosperen.

March 14, 2018

Emma tells David that her mother, Laura, died last night. She says Laura was just a woman in a bad marriage. David says he won't be able to make it to the funeral, and Emma says she doesn't care about the funeral.

March 19, 2018

Ava introduces David via video chat to Ava's mom, Mary, and her stepdad, Barry.

March 20, 2018

Ava answers David's phone and talks to Alba. Alba asks her where her daddy is and asks Ava why she's in her dad's "baddie house." David sees them talking and grabs the phone away.

March 21, 2018

Ava is upset at David for not telling her he has a daughter. He lies and says he only recently started to reconcile with Emma and Alba, but wants to be in Alba's life more. David asks to take Ava on his boat.

March 29, 2018

Eric introduces David, Ava, and Wesley to Riordan, who works with Green Storm, for some guidance. David explains that Prosperen is building the Sovereign Pipeline through the midwest for natural gas and that there's only two bridges they can use for construction. He wants to block the Sallysburg Bridge so they have to reroute and take a financial hit. Riordan questions David's loyalty, and Eric vouches for him. Eric says David almost killed Peter, who Riordan hates.

Ava tells David she's pregnant. Ava wants to back off of the activism to be a parent, but David doesn't want to. They argue but then tell each other they love each other for the first time and David comforts her.

April 2018

April 7, 2018

David and Tom, an FBI agent sent to infiltrate Green Storm, meet on David's boat. They talk about their plan to convince the Organizing Group and Riordan to blow up the Sallysburg Bridge with explosives.

April 15, 2018

Ava tells David she wants to name the baby Jane or James.

David and the Organizing Group meet with Riordan and Green Storm, including Tom. David tries to convince Green Storm to help him get explosives to blow up the bridge. Tom gets upset.

Mike tells David he needs to start working on an exit plan, and that Black Kite wants them to close in on Green Storm. David wants to keep working on the project and says Green Storm is not interested in violence.

April 23, 2018

David tells Maxine that his girlfriend, Ava, is pregnant and he's going to have to leave her, and his wife, Emma, is going to leave him when he goes home. Maxine gets upset when David tries to convince her that they have something real. She says David doesn't know anything about her and bans him from her channel.

David talks with Mike and Mike berates him, asking where he is and that they'll arrest everyone in his Detroit group. David begs him to not do that, and asks him to spare Ava. Mike asks David not to break the law, and David agrees to review the exit plan.

April 24, 2018

Eric, Wesley, Ava, and David meet. Wesley wants to move on from the pipeline to a new initiative, but David doesn't want to. Ava is pregnant. Karen, an FBI agent now posing as David's ex, comes by to try and extract him, but David ushers her out.

April 25, 2018

Ava is talking to David via video chat when the cops break in and arrest her.

David yells at Mike for arresting everyone, including pregnant Ava, and terrorizing them.

David yells at Karen and tells them she'll blow the cover if she comes over. She says acting as David's girlfriend is the plan to extract him. He asks Karen to meet him at a diner and not to ask about his family. Karen says she's screwed plenty of people for work and asks if Emma knows David is screwing Ava. Karen is worried about what the public might think if they knew what they were doing.

May 2018

May 5, 2018

David tells Ava he's running away to save her and gives her a secret stash of money. Ava begs him not to leave, or to tell her where he is. Ava hasn't told her mom she's pregnant. Ava wanted to have a home birth but David encourages her to go to a hospital.

June 2018

June 18, 2018

Ava cries at a bar while talking to David. She mentions her unborn baby. David misses Ava and tells her he didn't want this to happen.

June 24, 2018

Emma calls Alba while she is cleaning out Laura's house. Alba brings the camera to David, and Emma reluctantly talks to him.

David is throwing a BBQ for his work friends.

June 26, 2018

David cams with Maxine and asks her to spank herself. Maxine doesn't know it's David on the other end.

June 28, 2018

David sees a DWP van parked outside his home and threatens Mike that he'll go out there with a pistol and make them tell who they are.

July 2018

July 3, 2018

David fools Maxine into camming with him again. He says he's changed and is done with the FBI and is on medical leave. She tells him she lives in Cleveland and tells him camming is all a lie, she has a husband, and she saves all her cam sessions for safety and/or blackmail. She says she has all his sessions saved and will send them to his boss or a newspaper if he ever contacts her again.

July 15, 2018

David is in a hotel room. He shaved his beard. Emma and David argue about David talking to Alba.

Emma tells the story of how David murdered Emma's ex, Paul. Emma could've tried to save Paul, but David made her let him bleed out. Emma says she was always scared of David, but David says he was just trying to protect her. Emma says she's not scared of him anymore.

July 17, 2018

David asks Harry to track down Maxine's address. Harry agrees.

July 24, 2018

David enters Maxine's apartment to confront her about her extorting him. David tells her to delete the files. She says she already sent them and shoots him in the leg. Cops come and David shows them his badge to prove he's FBI.

July 28, 2018

David said he heard what happened in Detroit, and asks if everyone got arrested. Mike tells David that Eric walked but nobody would be looking for 'David Jones' and that he's glad to have 'David Smith' back. David says that 'David Jones' is dead.

October 2018

October 20, 2018

David makes a video message to the group in Detroit after running away, but says he's back now and still wants to fight Prosperen.

November 2018

November 1, 2018

Ava is with her baby and doesn't want David to come back, won't tell him the baby's name. She says Eric spent 2 weeks in jail.

November 5, 2018

David tracks Ava down and approaches Ava's friend in a park, who is walking the baby in a stroller. He asks what the baby's name is, which is Star. Ava runs up and calls the cops on David.

November 6, 2018

David lays in bed.

November 7, 2018

David asks Harry to get him explosives. Harry says Maxine showed up in a police report and is worried that David will do something drastic and the explosives will be tracked back to him.

November 20, 2018

David tells Alba the Rumplestiltskin story unenthusiastically.

November 21, 2018

David records a message telling Emma and Alba he loves them and wants to make things right. He asks Emma to tell Alba he was a good man. He says he always knew Emma was more afraid of him than Paul.

November 22, 2018

David uses the boat to get to the Prosperen pipeline. He says goodbye to everyone, then blows up a bomb and himself to damage the pipeline.
