The Build
Hi Im Infinitas and this is my idea for a Vortex Based Vauban.
Welcome to my guide and please dont be negative, If you dont like this you are free to make another post =) Comments to improve are welcome as im a new player myself.

This works well and is tested on infested. Try it out! If it works on other factions comment for us to know :D

First The White Vauban Warframe Himself!
Notice that no polarrity is added.
The most important thing about the build is Power Efficiency and Power Duration. That puts the Constitution Mod And The Continuity Mod the first priority. The next most important is the amount of energy used to cast vortex. To be able to use it a lot you should have good power efficiency hence you use the Streamline Mod. Flow Mod is added to give you more energy so that you can cast vortex at a distance without needing to find or collect energy globes. Stretch Mod is added to increase the area of suction of the vortex. Antitoxin Mod is used to reduce damace from toxic ancients which is important after wave 15. I added Undying Will to make you last longer if youre bleeding out so that your teammates can save you. It is not really needed. Its a matter of opinion ! I think it would be needed in emergencies.

Second The Wonderful Torid! and the Technique
The Torid is the key to the technique as this weapon does poison damage that deals damage over time. What you do is you use vortex to suck enemies to a point and then fire the Torid. The Poison cloud would deal damage to most of the enemies trapped in the vortex and kill them over time. It uses less ammo for higher damage and you barely run out of ammo!

The Build I used for the Torid is PURE DAMAGE. Here is the lst of mods I used.
1. Serration (adds base damage that affects the elemental mods! Extremely Important!)
2. HellFire ( Works wonders for infested)
3. Piercing Hit (Amour Piercing damage for Ancients! Very Important!)
4. Cryo Rounds (Adds Ice Damage and Slows enemies if your vortex runs out)
5. Heavy Caliber (Adds more frekin damage!)
6. Wildfire (Adds More Fire Damage!!!!)
7.Sombringer (not so important) to be swapped with Split Chamber Mod if you have split chamber already, max it and use it.

Firerate and reloading speed is not so important as most of the infested would be stuck i the vortex!
You can cast Vortex while reloading!
One more Thing, Dont Spam your vortex!

Some in summary
1 Wait A bit
2 Cast Vortex
3 Fire the Torid
4 Cast Vortex
5 Fire The Torid
6 Collect Ammo And Loot And Repeat next Wave

NOTE: If you run out of energy just step close to the ball of vortex! Dont go too close as at waves 15 plus there will be poison damage!

hey!

Sorry, my last post is incorrect. Better would be an elemental order of electric - cold - heat. This gives Gas and Magnetic damages (although corrosive is best, this leaves blast which is weak to shields...).

I would advise Electricity and Toxin mods in the top left slots, then Serration, Speed Trigger, Fast Hands, Wildfire and Hellfire in any order. This gives Corrossive and Heat Elements I think...

I think you're going to have to revisit that Torid build, now that Damage 2.0 has been unleashed.

I'm going to be the odd one, but might i suggest placing vortexes on the ceiling? that's what I do, pulls toxics away from me so i can use my slots for things other than antivenom. Also, max your Torid mods and put bane mods on, regardless of Torid or Shred Flux (I use both) bane mods and maxed mods are unbelievably helpful. I agree 100% with 1up, but seriously guys, try sticking vortexes on the ceiling, when you're ready for it you can have all your loot tumble down and the toxins stay up there so you don't have concentrated death for your teammates to run up and try to melee (yes... sadly that happens a lot to me).

Don't use stretch/focus/blind rage/overextended, since they don't do anything to your vortex. Vortex has a hard-set "sucktion" radius.

On topic of weapons: as i said before, i use seeker acrid or shed flux on my vortex vauban. For grineer or corpus farm with necro and vauban, grab a disarm spam Loki. =) (Once cast, disarm holds infinitely, so work from there). But, for this setup to work, you need a good choke point and team coordination.

I think the guide is about the strategy and mod build - the colour is just a bit of fun...
