DOOM IN FULL HD - How to run DOSBOX in Full HD

This guide will show you how to edit DOOM's configuration file to run DOSBox in HD!

Step 1

Have The Ultimate DOOM installed and go to the following directory.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ultimate Doom\base

You should now see all the files that DOOM requires. If DOOM is not here then go to DOOM in your Steam games library and right-click and select properties, then select "Local Files" then select "Browse Local Files" then go in to the folder named "base". You should now see all your game files.

Step 2

You should now see a file called "ultimatem.conf". Right-click and select "Edit". Under the heading "[sdl]", make the following corrections to the following lines

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=true
fullresolution=1920x1080 (this is up to you, but my PC runs in 1080p)
windowresolution=original
output=ddraw
autolock=true
sensitivity=500
waitonerror=true
priority=higher,normal
mapperfile=mapper.txt
usescancodes=false

Now press CTRL+S to save the .conf file.

Step 3

THATS IT! Enjoy Ultimate DOOM in full HD! The game still looks pixelated but that just adds to the charm! This guide also works on every other DOOM game and most DOSBOX games on Steam however results may vary and modifications to this modification will have to be made! Anyways, enjoy!
