Things I wish I knew when I first started
  • There is a New Game+ feature!
    - Any achievements that you can't get in your first playthrough, can be achieved in any future new game+ playthroughs. You DO NOT need to invest lots of time to farm crystals just to beat the boss in under 1 minute. Eventually you can defeat the bosses very easily.
    - You keep essentially everything from your older playthroughs.
    - You can keep farming Magic Cores in all NG+ playthroughs.

  • You do not need to press any other key when jumping from wall to wall, other than your Jump key.
    - Hit the Jump key when you reach a wall.

  • There are certain spots where you can break the floor to reach new areas. Use the Down + K skill.
    - Breakable floors only appear in the stages City of Despair (1&2) and Ancient Capital (2)

    City of Despair (2):

    Ancient Capital (2):

  • There are a few walls you can break by attacking it to reach new areas.

    Glimmer Cave (2):

  • You can hold 'R' before reaching an item to Recycle instantly. (Doesn't seem to work 100% of the time)
    - It can also work when opening Chests. Hold 'R' and do not let go holding 'R' when opening chests, to open the chest and instantly recycle whatever is inside it. (This seems to work more consistently).

    Item Quick Recycle:

    Chest Quick Recycle:

  • The longer you hold Jump, the higher you go.

  • Stat abbreviations
    - ARP = Armor Penetration
    - CHD = Critical Hit Damage (Critical Multiplier)
    - POW = Power Consumption (Displays your current max POW)

    - It is possible to attain both 100% Crit Chance AND 100% Armor Penetration.

  • Important but poorly translated Chip
    - Automatically Inject - Automatically return blood when HP falls below 20%, and there is no hard straight motion of blood returning.
    - Pretty much means you'll INSTANTLY and automatically use heal when you fall before 20% HP.
    - Also anytime you see, "blood returning" or something similar, it means heal.
Magic Cores
Important Note: There are many map variations. Magic Core locations will be different depending on what Map Variation you got.

A couple things that are the same no matter what map variation you got:
  • The amount of Magic Cores in each level will ALWAYS be the same. Listed below.
  • The GENERAL location of the Magic Cores will almost always be ROUGHLY the same. With a couple of exceptions.

Amount of Magic Cores found per level:
  • 1.1 - City of Despair (1): 1
  • 1.2 - City of Despair (2): 4

  • 2.1 - Glimmer Cave (1): 3
  • 2.2 - Glimmer Cave (2): 2

  • 3.1 - Ancient Capital (1): 2
  • 3.2 - Ancient Capital (2): 3

  • 4.1 - Burning Battlefield (1): 1
  • 4.2 - Burning Battlefield (2): 4

  • 5.1 - Giant Baby Home (1): 2
  • 5.2 - Giant Baby Home (2): 3

    - Note; Each stage should add up to 5 Magic Cores.

General Locations of the Magic Cores
This is where I found the Magic Cores in ONE Variation of the map.
If you do not find the Magic Core in the Red Circled area, it should be in the general vicinity of it.

City of Despair (1):
This one seems to be quite consistent.

City of Despair (2):
4th & 5th Cores: Always the same.

Glimmer Cave (1):
1st Core: Hug the right wall.
2nd Core: Hug the left wall in the middle section.
3rd Core: Consistently near the vicinity of the exit.

Glimmer Cave (2):
Variable.

Ancient Capital (1):
Variable.

Ancient Capital (2):
Variable.

Burning Battlefield (1):
1st Core is very consistent.

Burning Battlefield (2):
2nd Core: Can change a bit, sometimes found below the red circle underground. (Very visible)
3rd, 4th & 5th Cores: Always the same.

Giant Baby Home (1):

1st Core: Can be in either positions here.
2nd Core: Always the same.

Giant Baby Home: (2):
3rd & 4th Cores: Always the same.
5th Core: Can spawn a bit more to the left.
