Re: recent comment - if you actually make an 8-pulverizer design and check them side by side, the input stream of scrap jitters one way or another, making the rates about the same no matter what you do. 8 pulverizer designs might on the margins be better (I'm talking like .01/s better), but the tradeoff is making the schematic much larger. I've done some testing and this schematic from Tree is as good as it gets. Still wish it didn't spam bridges though, but oh well.

But it takes 7 and a third pulverizers to use up 11 scrap/second.
