SpicyDinosaur's Polite Warframe Primer to Kavats and Kubrow
By The Notorious Spicy Dinosaur
This is the Primer based on my other two guides, one for Kavats and one for Kubrow. The original guides are better for specifics and close up details, but this will be a quick reference to absorb most of the information in one read through.

If you are interested in breeding, buying, or selling beast pets in Warframe, this is a good place to start.

And, of course, please give a thumbs up if you enjoy this.

Guide up to date as of: Whispers In the Wall Update 35.

Preface

Welcome!

This is the Primer based on my two more in depth guides, one for Kavats[docs.google.com] and one for Kubrow[docs.google.com]. The original guides are better for specifics and close up details, but this will be a quick reference to absorb most of the information in one read through.

I also have a guide for Deimos Pets[docs.google.com], for those interested!

The Incubator Menu
breedingimages10.png
Location of the Incubator in your orbiter, above.

The first tab of the Incubator Menu is the name of the pet currently selected, if any. To make it easy I'll refer to this as the Pet Tab from now on. You can see this tab below.

The "Consign (Pet Name)" button consigns the pet you have active and charges you 25k for the service and the trip to "Lotus' happy farm," (colloquially referred to as "the airlock.")

A consigned pet is gone forever. Its companion slot is also freed up in the process. This act is irreversible

Note that the arrangement of the bottom right buttons above is what you will see on most tabs, specifically this:

When you make an imprint and it is complete, it will show up here in chronological order. You can also search for a companion by name.

When viewing your pet from the Browse Genetic Imprints tab, you will see the pet as it is naturally. Whenever Genetic Imprints are viewed, (like say in a trade window,) they are always the genuine features of the pet involved.

Seen below, the Genetic Tools Tab allows you to start imprinting a pet's genetics, and when you are not currently imprinting, see how many imprints the pet has left, (I've underlined where it tells you how many more imprints you can make in blue.) This tab, like the Pet Tab, will also disappear if you do not have an active pet currently.

Below, the Kubrow and Kavat Breeding Tabs allow you to start the process of breeding a pet and shows you what items you need to begin if you are missing anything.

Kubrow Breeding Menu above.

Note that once you have the necessary items and meet the requirements a Begin Incubation button will appear at the bottom of the list. Pushing this opens up the Begin Incubation Menu. Seen below.

To be clear, you need to either click the "Begin a Random Incubation" button for a random incubation or put 2 imprints, (one for each box,) you have from your inventory. The order of placement in the boxes does not matter.

You can only make two imprints from one Kubrow, and three from one Kavat. These can be traded with others, but the pet itself can not be traded. After that, while you may still use the pet for yourself, you will not be able to obtain any more imprints to sell or share with others from that specific pet.

These imprints hold all the trait details of the pet that can be passed down genetically. (I repeat it often in this guide but that means that height and gender are not passed down through imprints.)

Any person who receives the imprints and wants to clone the exact same pet, (save, again, height and gender,) must have two imprints from that pet. When breeding using templates, two different ones can be used and the offspring will be a random mix of the traits the "parents" possess.

What are the traits that can be passed down?

You can pass down, via the imprints used in a Combined Incubation, these traits:

For Kubrow:

  • Breed
  • Build
  • Fur Pattern
  • Fur Color
  • Energy Color

For Kavats:

  • Breed
  • Head/Ears
  • Body Type
  • Tail
  • Fur Color
  • Energy Color

When in the Begin Incubation Menu clicking a box will open up a menu with a chronologically organized list of your templates, as well as, thankfully, a search bar. You may select two imprints from the same pet or two imprints that are each from a different pet, (both must be the same type, 2 Kubrow imprints or 2 Kavat Imprints,) to start the incubation process in this manner.

See the Helminth Chargers section for how to breed them, as the process is different.

When incubation is complete, you will have to name your pet to claim him or her. You can then mature her in the Pet Tab part of the menu, and make imprints.

Note: "Omega" Kubrow are called as such due to extreme height, (Kubrow can also hatch very small,) but height is not passed down via genetics and is entirely RNG based, as is gender. Keep that in mind when someone tries to sell you an Omega Kubrow.

Incubator Upgrades
There are two important incubator upgrades you will want for your incubator.

Nutrio Incubator Upgrade Segment

The blueprint can be picked up from the tenno lab for 15k credits. You can always pay 175p and get making it out of the way, or rush it in the Foundry for 25p.

Nutrio Upgrade Segment Manufacturing Requirements

Courtesy of the Warframe WIki[warframe.wikia.com]
To translate, that's 100k credits, 1 argon crystal, 1 incubator power core, and 1.2k oxium.

If the credit cost seems steep for all the things needed to breed whatever Beast you choose, I suggest spending a few hours grinding out credits in the Index[warframe.wikia.com].

The upgrade makes of the following changes to your incubator:

  • DNA stabilizer cost is reduced from 75k Credits to 5k Credits.
  • Incubation reduced by 24 hours.
  • Daily DNA degradation rate is reduced from 5% (this might be 2.5% now,) to no decay.

Kavat Incubator Upgrade Segment

This segment can be obtained either through the Market for 175p, by purchasing the blueprint in the Clan Dojo's Tenno Lab for 15k credits, or by fighting Hyekka Masters[warframe.wikia.com], (who summon Hyekkas,) who often drop the blueprints.

Hyekkas[warframe.fandom.com] themselves do not give genetic codes on a scan ever, but do drop some of the Kavat specific mods.

This is one of the easier segments to build, requiring, (as seen below,) 1 Argon Crystal, 10 Kavat Gene Codes, and 120k Alloy Plating. It only needs to be built and installed once to gain the ability to breed Kavats.

If the credit cost seems steep for all the things needed to breed a Kavat, I suggest spending a few hours grinding out credits in the Index.
Where to Farm the Basic Resources
Basically, any resources that aren't eggs or gene codes can be farmed by referencing either of these helpful guides:

Resource and Farming in Warframe Guide[warframeguide.com] by Frag5terZer0
Warframe Materials Guide by RPS

... and finding the optimal spots to farm what you need. I looked through these, and they do seem to be current enough to be effective.

Each time you breed a Kavat or Kubrow, you need to expend an Incubator Power Core and if you want imprints, x2 Genetic Code Templates. You also need one or two other things listed here, depending on what you want to breed:

  • A Kubrow egg for Kubrow breeding
  • A Kubrow egg and a matured Cyst for Helminth Charger breeding
  • x10 genetic codes for Kavat breeding

The reusable blueprint for the Incubator Power Core can be purchased for 50k credits from the Market Console.

Incubator Power Core Manufacturing Requirements
Courtesy of the Warframe Wiki [warframe.wikia.com]

To translate, that's 100k credits, 4.5k nano spores, 2 control panels, and 1 argon crystal.

  • You can get a single Incubator Power Core free by completing the requirements for the Earth to Mars Junction on the Navigation Map.

The reusable blueprint for the Genetic Code Template is purchased from the Market for 50k credits.

Genetic Code Template Manufacturing Requirements

Courtesy of the Warframe Wiki [warframe.wikia.com]

To translate, that's 10k credits, 700 nano spores, 300 circuits, and 1 control panel.

Amongst the various necessary items for building parts and breeding a pet, the farmed resources, Incubator Power Cores, Genetic Code Templates, multiple Kavat Gene Codes or an egg, and possibly a mature cyst, and what have you, only imprints obtained from the imprinting process at the Incubator are tradeable. The other items involved in pet breeding can be given to another player only by using platinum to gift them to the recipient.
Kubrows
Egg Farming

Untouched Kubrow dens, left.

Kubrow Eggs can be obtained in two ways:

  • The Market Console sells them for 10p.
  • They can be farmed by destroying feral Kubrow dens on Earth.

There is a low chance of obtaining an egg whenever you destroy a Kubrow Den.

Kubrow eggs are treated like many highly desired rare items, so when you pick one up the bottom left part of your screen will bring up a picture of the egg with "Kubrow Egg" in large text to notify you that you have obtained one.

Visual when picking up a Kubrow Egg, above.

Kubrow Breeds and Traits

Chesa

This Kubrow has a chance to "retrieve" extra items from crates and the dead for the team. It should be noted that it doesn't stack with related Warframe abilities. It's day job is useful, as well. Allowing it to disarm enemies that might be shooting at you.

Breed Specific Mods:

Retrieve: The kubrow has a chance to scavenge additional loot from fallen enemies or containers.
Neutralize: The kubrow bites the hand of an enemy, causing them to drop their weapon.

Huras

This is the sneaky Kubrow. It will help you by temporarily making you invisible. It can also charge the bad guys and damage any of them in its path in the process. It's the most desired breed from my experience.

Breed Specific Mods:

Stalk: Allows the Huras Kubrow to cloak itself and its master.
Hunt: Allows the Huras Kubrow to perform lunging attacks.

Raksa

The Raksa Kubrow is a protective breed. Besides helping recharge the shields of its master, it can also howl at the enemy, (arguably its best ability,) which causes enemies to come under a fear effect.

Breed Specific Mods:

Howl: Allows the Raksa Kubrow to growl, frightening nearby opponents.
Protect: Allows the Raksa Kubrow to replenish its master's shields when they are depleted.

Sahasa

This breed loves to dig. They will get you all the ammo and health you could ever need, (and rumors circulate everyday that sometimes other loot surfaces!) They are also helpful in a skirmish!

Breed Specific Mods:

Dig: Allows the Sahasa Kubrow to sniff out and dig up buried items.
Ferocity: Allows the Sahasa Kubrow to perform Finisher attacks on enemies.

Sunika

This breed is on the attack all the time. It specializes in beating the crap out of your enemies and probably anything else nearby. It is the most straightforward of the breeds because it is fully focused on this task. Plus, it can grapple your capture target in capture missions!

Breed Specific Mods:

Savagery: Allows the Sunika Kubrow to use Finisher attacks on enemies.
Unleashed: Allows Sunika Kubrows to knock down VIP targets.

Kubrow have different builds, fur patterns, and a variety of colors. The possibilities visually are the same for all breeds.

Kavats
Gene Farming

Farming Kavat genetic codes takes a little time but is much, much easier than it once was. All scannable Kavats that will give you genetic codes are in Deimos missions that are not in the Cambion Drift or branching off of the Sanctum Anatomica. These specific Kavats are called feral Kavats. Note that Hyekkas, the pets of the Hyekka Master who is covered further down in this document, do not give genetic codes regardless of locale.

Feral Kavats can be found in the following nodes on Deimos: Horend, Phlegyas, Formido, Dirus, Magnacidium, and Terrorem. I am not sure if Exequias has feral Kavats, but would advise against using it even if it did due to the mechanics of the node.

For farming Kavat genetic codes, Capture missions are preferable because they have Corpus enemies rather than Grineer and Corpus units don't have pets. The Drahk and Hyekkas can trigger Territorial Aggression; a mod that can be invaluable in figuring out where the Kavats are hiding. Having it trigger constantly won't tell you anything. Access to Steel Path is also useful, as otherwise the Kavats are extremely easy to kill since the level of the base missions is very low.

Territorial Aggression creates a large ring around the area with Kavats. It will give them away very easily and can clue you in to the existence of Kavats otherwise currently invisible. Your own beast pet will not trigger the mod, naturally.

When going Kavat gene code hunting, you'll want to bring as many people as you can since the more people you bring the more feral Kavats spawn.

Note that the feral Kavats are often almost entirely invisible and only given away by a slight bending of the light. They become visible when fighting something or someone and they will fight any of the enemy NPCs upon encountering them. This means they can also be killed by these NPCs. So you will want to lock down enemies entirely if possible while trying to get scans. Feral Kavats are fast enough that if left to bounce around while you are trying to scan them, you will find the act exceedingly difficult.

An invisible Kavat, below.

Before you head out to Deimos it is highly advisable that you choose a warframe suitable to the task. This means they have to have CC that is low or no damage.

I use Titania, she can kill the capture target with ease and has Spellbind to hold a feral Kavat still for me to scan. Note that I stay in Razorwing form, and use Aerodynamic,[warframe.fandom.com] Aviator,[warframe.fandom.com] and Boreal's Contempt[warframe.fandom.com] for max damage reduction while in the air to help me deal with Steel Path mobs that might be beating on me while I try to get a scan as it can get rather crowded during that time.

There are others, so you'll have to experiment and decide which you like best.

Smeeta Kavats are able to multiply the amount of genetic codes gained from a scan, but you run the risk of having the feral Kavat and its friends killed by your allied cat. However, the damage a Kavat deals without any combat mods, (such as maul, bite, etc,) isn't altogether too much.

This is the build I use when gene hunting for my Smeeta companion:

Notice the Precept order. 1. Charm, 2. Territorial Aggression. Territorial aggression is second as it fires way more often than Charm and putting it first would mean Charm would never.fire, or if so, very rarely.

Be sure to have a scanner with the widgets below if possible; these are obtainable from Cephalon Simaris in any relay.

Sol-Battery Widget

Recharges Synthesis Scanner charges. (Scans no longer consume charges)

Vector-Thread Widget

Reduces the time required to scan a target with the Synthesis Scanner. (+45% scan rate)

Cross-Matrix Widget

Chance for each scan with the Synthesis Scanner to count as two scans. (45% chance)

The above are useful, and even vital, widgets for your synthesis scanner.
They were originally detailed in the official Warframe wiki here[warframe.fandom.com].

Note: All of the widgets are only effective for the person that has them; they do not benefit the entire group.

Kavat Breeds and Traits

Adarza Kavats are the perfect companion for boosting your team's damage and not putting up with your opponents' crap.

Breed Specific Mods:

Cat's Eye: the Kavat grants increased critical chance to all nearby Tenno for a short duration.
Reflect: the Kavat will occasionally reflect and amplify damage back to an enemy.

Smeeta Kavats are great for resource farming, fissure mission, kuva survivals, (all of which fall under the aforementioned resource farming category as far as the Smeeta is concerned.) They actually have a variety of buffs, but they only benefit their owner, and it is random what buff that owner gets.

Charm: the Kavat bestows its owner with good fortune during the course of a mission.
Mischief: the Kavat becomes invisible while a decoy kavat draws fire by running toward the enemy.

Vasca Kavats are covered in the full guide.[docs.google.com]

Kavats have different fur colors, heads/ears, and tails. The possibilities visually are the same for both regular breeds.

Helminth Chargers
And here we are at the oft forgotten beast, Helminth Chargers.

The Helminth Infirmary[warframe.fandom.com], at the bottom starboard portion of the ship, is first enterable when you have Nidus or hang around him or an infected warframe inside a mission, ("infected" refers to a warframe bearing the cyst.)

Breeding a Helminth Charger requires that you don't pop a matured cyst in the Helminth Chair, but instead drain it at the Incubator in the Begin Incubation Menu reached as mentioned earlier in the document.

A matured cyst, above.
Note the tendril coming off it.

This assumes you have not popped a helminth cyst on that particular warframe by interacting with the Helminth chair prior; In that case, the warframe can not regain the cyst.

The option to Drain sits below the Combined Incubation section of the menu only when you are using a warframe with a matured cyst, as seen below.

Courtesy of Warframe Wiki regarding Helminth Chargers[warframe.wikia.com]

After a cyst is drained, (not popped,) it will come back in 24 hours, and begin growing again.

Since Helminth Chargers can not have imprints of their DNA made, they can not be bred by any means other than what amounts to a random incubation. They also can't be sold or exchanged in any way. Basically, without imprints, there is no DNA to be passed down.

Each time you breed a Helminth Charger from the cyst and a Kubrow egg, (and any components a regular Kubrow breeding requires,) the results are entirely random.

The amount of color "slots" available go beyond accents for a Helminth Charger and allow for even the energy color to be modified, which is not the case for their Kubrow kindred.

See the color key, below, for which slots colors which part of the Charger.

Helminth Charger color key.

The Helminth Charger excels at both combat and even a bit of crowd control. It also has a base toxin damage to its attack, making it easy to get it to do some nice corrosive damage by adding the mod Shock Collar.

Breed Specific Mods:

Trample: Allows the Helminth Charger to tackle a nearby opponent. The tackle can also hit multiple targets.
Proboscis: Allows the Helminth Charger to harpoon enemies and pull them back.

If you have any Charger screenshots you want to share with me to help me further research them, feel free to send your pictures to SpicyDinosaur on the official forums and I'll add it/them to my album, here[imgur.com].
A Brief Overview of Beast Mods
Precepts

"Companions will check to see if the conditions to use the highest priority precept are fulfilled, and will continue to use that precept until the conditions are no longer met. Then they will check each other precept in priority order. Companions will also interrupt the usage of lower priority precepts to use higher priority precepts." - Courtesy of the Warframe WIki regarding companions[warframe.wikia.com]

If you know who to credit for this image, please inform SpicyDinosaur via PM on the Official Forums.

The basic concept of Precepts is that some mods are "active," (or are counted as a "precept,") and some mods are "passive" and do not affect a Kavat's or Kubrow's activation of precept mods at all. By listing the precept mods in order of most important for the pet to activate and working down to the least important, the pet's usefulness in combat can be significantly improved.

Any Mod, (except Fetch,) with the "Precept" polarity is a precept. This polarity looks like a capital I with a hyphen next to it. Like this:

Beast Mods

Most mod are listed in the Warframe Wiki and descriptions are also from there. They were sufficiently succinct while still explaining enough that I would have had to actively avoid rewriting it the same way.

General Beast Mods:

The mods listed in this category, including the Hunter Mod Set, can be used by any Beast class companion, (Kubrow, Kavats, and Helminth Chargers.)

Animal Instinct: gives Enemy Radar and Loot Detection effects to the companion's owner.
Primed Animal Instinct: the Primed version of Animal Instinct, see above save that the enemy radar and loot detection extend further than the regular version.
Bite: Increases critical chance and critical multiplier.
Fetch: allows Kubrow, Kavats, Vulpaphylas, Predasites, and Helminth Chargers to detect and collect loot in the area. (More specifically, the "looting" ability is transferred to the Warframe)
Hastened Deflection: Increases Shield regeneration rate.
Link Fiber: Boost's companion's armor value.
Link Vitality: Boost's companion's health value.
Link Redirection: Boost's companion's shield value.
Loyal Companion: triggers when the Warframe's health drops below a certain threshold, granting the Warframe Damage Reduction and making the Companion invulnerable while taunting enemies.
Maul: Increases the Kubrow's melee damage.
Medi-Pet Kit: provides Health regeneration and reduces Recovery Time.
Pack Leader: heals a Companion a set amount with Warframe Melee hits. Excess healing grants Overguard.
Primed Pack Leader: The Primed version of Pack Leader, note that it heals more than the non-Primed version.
Scavenge: Allows the Kubrow to unlock lockers.
Shelter: Creates a shield around its master while they revive fallen allies.
Flame Gland: Increases both the Heat damage and status chance of a beast companion.
Frost Jaw: Increases both the Cold b Cold damage and status chance of a beast companion.
Shock Collar: Increases both the Electricity damage and status chance of a beast companion.
Venom Teeth: Increases both the Toxin damage and status chance of a beast companion.

Hunter Mod Set: Companions deal 25%/50%/75%/100%/125%/150% Extra Damage against enemies affected by Slash status.

Hunter Command (Beast): This causes your non-sentinel companion to attack the nearest enemy affected by Slash Status.
Hunter Recovery (Beast): This allows a companion to heal the player for a percentage of the damage it deals.
Hunter Synergy (Beast): Grants the companion a critical chance bonus based on the total critical chance of the player's primary weapon.
Hunter Adrenaline (Warframe): This converts a percentage of Health damage received into Energy for the warframe.
Hunter Munitions (Primary): This grants primary weapons a chance to force a Slash status proc upon a critical hit,
Hunter Track (Primary): This grants companions a critical chance bonus based on the total critical chance of the player's primary weapon.

Synth Mod Set: Holstering Primary and Secondary weapons reload ?% of Magazines per second. (? per mod)

Synth Set Mods made for companions now say "Companion" and not "Sentinel." They are usable by any companion.

Synth Fiber (Companion): grants additional Companion Armor on picking up a Health Orb.
Synth Deconstruct (Companion): can cause enemies damaged by the Sentinel to drop a Health Orb upon death.
Synth Charge (Pistol): grants bonus damage to the final shot in the magazine.
Synth Reflex (Warframe): an exilus slot set mod that increases weapon holster speed.

Kubrow Mods:

Mecha Mod Set:The Kubrow marks an enemy every 60/45/30/15 seconds for 3/6/9/12 seconds. Kill them to apply their Status Effects to all enemies within 7.5/15/22.5/30 meters.

Mecha Overdrive (Kubrow): This shares the owner's status chance with their Kubrow, and increases the Kubrow's status duration.
Mecha Recharge (Kubrow): This increases Shield regeneration rate.
Mecha Empowered (Aura): This grants bonus damage against a marked enemy.
Mecha Pulse (Warframe): This grants bonus armor when killing a marked enemy.

Kavat Mods:

Pounce: The Kavat pounces at an enemy, stunning them for a short duration.
Sense Danger: Allows the Kavat to emit a sonar wave that marks enemies on the mini-map.
Sharpened Claws: Allows the Kavat to target an enemy and rip it apart as it is stunned.
Swipe: Increases the Kavat's attack range and allows it to hit multiple enemies per strike.
Territorial Aggression: Allows the Kavat to "mark its territory" and pacify nearby wild creatures.

Tek Mod Set: The Kavat marks a 3/6/9/12 meter zone every 60/45/30/15 seconds that inflicts 50/100/150/200 Damage per second to enemies within the zone.

Tek Assault (Kavat): is a set mod that gives your Kavat a chance to ignore any kind of lethal damage and become immune to all types of damage for a short time.
Tek Enhance (Kavat): is a set mod that increases Kavat ability duration.
Tek Collateral (Warframe): Increases the player's critical multiplier when inside the Tek set marked zone.
Tek Gravity (Melee): This will pull all enemies within 15m of your ground slam towards your Warframe.

Helminth Charger Mods:

Strain Mod Set: The Helminth Charger grows up to 2/4/6/8 Cysts over 6/12/18/24 seconds that erupt every 25 seconds to spawn a maggot.

Strain Eruption (Charger): Spawned maggots explode on death, dealing a percentage of the enemy's health as Corrosive damage.
Strain Fever (Charger): Helminth Charger gains increased damage per cyst.
Strain Consume (Warframe): This causes dead maggots within a given radius to restore some health.
Strain Infection (Melee): This increases the critical multiplier of a melee weapon based on the number of grown Cysts.
New Companion Mods
These mods were all added at the same time, relatively recently. They came with the total abolishment of the health and loyalty stats for Kubrow and Kavats and the ability of pets to revive themselves over time. The increased flexibility this has given beast pets makes these mods potentially helpful in the pursuit of committing ever more war crimes on the opposition.

They are available from the different Conservation[warframe.fandom.com] NPCs in the open world areas. Below is a list sorted by merchant. The mods are always 20,000 standing with the relative faction.

Cetus/Master Teasonai

Covet Bond (companion): Finisher and Mercy Kills grant your companion 10s of stealth that attacks will not disrupt. Max 60s.
Mystic Bond (companion): After your companion uses abilities with cooldowns 5 times, you may cast a Warframe ability without expending energy.
Tandem Bond (companion): Companion's melee attacks to add to the owner's Melee Combo. Performing a Heavy Attack will bolster the companion's melee damage for 30 seconds.
Restorative Bond (companion): Grants additional health to the companion when picking up Health Orbs, as well as reducing the companion recovery timer.

Fortuna/The Business

Aerial Bond (companion): Reduces the companion recovery timer on airborne kills. The companion will also generate a Cold field when the owner is airborne that remains for 3 seconds upon landing.
Astral Bond (companion): Adds damage and Void damage to the companion for 10 seconds when dealing damage with an Amp. In return, when the companion deals Void damage, Amp and Transference efficiency is granted for 5 seconds.
Momentous Bond (companion): Causes Eximus kills to grant the companion a random Elemental Damage bonus for 30 seconds and reduce the companion recovery timer.
Reinforced Bond (companion): Increases the owner's Fire Rate when the companion's maximum Shields exceed 1200 or they possess overshields. Reloading will also restore shields to the companion.
Tenacious Bond (companion): Reduces companion recovery on headshot kills. In addition, a Critical Damage multiplier is granted to the owner's weapons if the companion's critical chance is above 50%.

The Necralisk/Son

Contagious Bond (companion): Causes enemies killed by the companion to spread a fraction of their Status Effects to nearby enemies.
Duplex Bond (companion): Creates a short-lived duplicate of the companion after 100 Energy is spent, up to 3 times. Enemies killed by these clones have a chance at dropping an Energy Orb.
Seismic Bond (companion): Causes the companion's melee attacks to emit 4-meter shockwaves as long as a Channeled Ability is active. In addition, the companion's attacks will grant stacking Ability Efficiency to their owner for a brief period.
Vicious Bond (companion): Allows the companion's melee attacks to reduce enemy armor. Damaging enemies with abilities will also reduce the armor of nearby targets.
Selling, Buying, and Pricing
Pricing Guides: The Up and Down Sides

It took me a long time to get prices people buy at, some of which actually involved raising my prices so people would be more likely to perceive my pets as having value. It's something that requires constant monitoring and experimentation.

However, a little help never hurt. Below are the default pricing guides for Kavats and Kubrow:

Where to Buy and Sell Your Imprints

It is expected, when in polite Kavat and Kubrow society, that any quoted or posted prices are for x2 of the same imprint. Be sure to clarify when you are selling 1 imprint instead of 2.

The following is a list of places I have found that I have been able to sell my wares where it has been profitable for me. (You are welcome to suggest places, just note that I "vet" them first.)

Official Warframe Forums[forums.warframe.com]
Wartrade (Reddit)

Discord Servers:

Warframe Kubrow and Kavat Breeders[discord.gg]
The Breeder Squad[discord.gg]
Unofficial Warframe[discord.gg]
Warframe.market[discord.gg]
Wartrade[discord.gg]
/r/Warframe [discord.gg]

Note that some of these sites have requirements like not posting links and pictures not embedding, etc.

Lastly, you can list your MR fodder, (junk prints,) on the actual warframe.market[warframe.market] website. Listings are for a single imprint. Some people don't know they need two, so it is best to mention it to potential buyers right away.

As a last note, including pictures in your ads where allowed/possible helps a lot. You can't entice a buyer into spending their plat on a product they can't see!

For more about requirements and some advice for selling via these resources and possibly others, Morningstar999 has created a valuable resource here[docs.google.com].

Yea white energy is a good one. Red is only available since the Vasca came out, and they may be the only way to get it on other kavats (via combined incubation) So red is what you want to shoot for but white is still quite desirable

@Moetronic I'd bet a lot of that is time spent afk, I have a similar thing going on.

Regardless, if one finds enjoyment out of playing a game, why is that your concern? There are people out there doing far worse things with their time. The game has been out for almost 5 years at this point, so it's hardly outrageous.

@DontRunWScissors White energy is always a good thing, I believe. I got Lime green on my Vasca, which I was happy to see. :Grineer:

I recently got a Vasca with white energy, which I've found to be easily customizable as long as you plan for the lighter tint. Is that a desirable trait?
