By -NR- Sir Limbo
How to play LIMBO

A step-by-step guide to the mystery Warframe called "Limbo" and how to play an effective Limbo.
This explains in detail how his abilities work, how they synergize and finally how to build a decent Warframe.
It also contains advise for players trying to deal with a Limbo on their team and grants insight on what they can and can't do, and why, alongside information on how to counter a trolling Limbo player.

The guide is aimed at people who have a basic understanding of Warframe and its mechanics, but could or would not approach Limbo until now.

Enjoy!

Who or what is this "Limbo"?
If you look up the Wikipedia page for "Limbo" (see here[en.wikipedia.org]) then the word refers to a sort of "edge dimension" between heaven and hell (and their equivalents among religions and faiths). Sort of a gray zone for people of gray morale status, or as I believe just the space where the souls of the dead remain until at Judgment Day they are being sorted into Heaven or Hell by God.

In Warframe, the "Rift" refers to a dimension between our Reality and the Void. Limbo controls this dimension, able to manifest it, sending himself, his allies and his enemies onto the brink. It is important to know that, while Limbo has a relatively short passive (see the section "Abilities") the entire game mechanic of the Rift could be considered part of his passive.

Now that we know who he is and what he does, let's start at where to get him from.
How to get Limbo
Limbo can be acquired through 3 ways:
  • Buy Limbo in the Market (current cost is 200 Platinum alone or 550 Platinum in the "Limbo Bundle" which has a bunch of extra stuff).
  • Complete "The Limbo Theorem" quest. More on that below.
  • Gather Limbo Prime. This can be done via (at the time of writing) Relics, but in the future Limbo will become Vaulted and Unvaulted again, which offers different Relics and Vault Bundles which can be bought for real-world currency. More on that below.

The Quest "The Limbo Theorem" can be done after completing a series of quests and Junctions. Note that full lines are conditions (i.e. to complete the Mars Junction the player needs to complete the Once Awake quest) while dotted lines show quests awarded by completing Junctions (i.e. the Mercury Junction granting the player the Once Awake quest).

In short: It requires the player to acquire the actual quest, which can be done via either the Europa Junction or as part of the Limbo Bundle, but it does require The Archwing quest. Thus players who buy the bundle will be able to play it sooner than normal players who still need to fight their way to the Junction. This is in addition to receiving a fully-built and boosted Limbo.

Depending on how much the player farms I'd expect most to be at around Mastery Rank 3-5 when they first are confronted with the quest.
Note that The Limbo Theorem is not a main story quest and thus not required for progression through the game. In theory, simply be ignored.

Quest: The Limbo Theorem

The quest through which the stock Limbo can be unlocked for free contains 4 different missions. As a personal tip: You are required to use your archwing (hence the quest requiring The Archwing quest), and this can be annoying if you have neither the mods nor the experience. Form up a team, be it premade or through matchmaking or ask another friend or clanmate to get you through the archwing sequences if you're having trouble.

I won't spoiler the events of the quest though, that is for you to discover. But if you need help or want to be a bad sport and browse through, here[warframe.fandom.com] is the Wiki page.

Limbo Prime and the Prime Vault

Acquiring Limbo Prime at the time of writing can only be done through gathering and opening Relics. It's best to look up the droptables on the Wiki page of Limbo Prime[warframe.fandom.com] instead of me having to change this guide every time a new prime access comes out.

In the future Limbo Prime will be "vaulted", which means that the relics his parts drop from can no longer be acquired ingame. Any already owned Limbo Prime, his parts, blueprints and relics will stay in your inventory.

While vaulted the only way to get your hands on the prime version is to either buy the relics and hope you're lucky or buy the blueprints themselves. Neither can be done in the game store, you will have to trade with players who own such relics and parts.

After a while (I'd expect maybe ~2-3 years after being vaulted) Limbo will return from the Prime Vault for a limited time, bringing a Vault Bundle which can be bought for real-world currency and also new relics with his parts will be available ingame to farm without additional cost (other than time that is). You can look up more on the Prime Vault[warframe.fandom.com] page of the Wiki.
The Basics of the Rift: Rift Plane, Riftwalk and Banish
Limbo is a Warframe that can have many uses. Plus, if you ever ask players ingame which Warframe they think is the biggest troll the answer is most likely "Limbo". Much of this has been fixed over the years, but a lot still remains.

Some of the latter comes from just annoying players, sure, but a lot of it is inexperienced players who are struggling to understand a complex Warframe with entirely new game mechanics and making mistakes. One of the aims of this Guide is to inform players on how they can use this Warframe in an effective manner without disturbing other players any more than necessary.

Note that when it comes to scaling there are a few abbreviations:
Power Strength = PS
Power Range = PR
Power Duration = PD
Power Efficiency = PE
If no scaling is written after values those values don't scale.

Ability Description

Once more, there is no better place to read up on abilities in the Wiki ability page[warframe.fandom.com], but here is a small rundown on how to use and synergize these abilities:

Passive: Rift Walk

Normal Warframes can roll, back- and side-flip and alike, but not Limbo. All of these animations have been replaced with a short dash. This alone is only a visual change and seemingly does not increase or decrease the speed at which normal Warframes parkour.

However, when Limbo dashes this way while being inside Reality he enters the Rift Plane and leaves behind a Portal. Any Warframe touching it will enter the Rift for a short time. Any pet or sentinel equipped will also enter and exit the Rift with Limbo.

IMPORTANT for non-Limbo players: Any Warframe can exit the Rift Plane by rolling, back- or side-flipping at any time! This is how you get out of there before the time runs out!
That, naturally, includes Limbo and his dash. On exit no portal will be left behind.

While the Portal only lasts 5 seconds and the time in the Rift for other Warframes is limited to 15 seconds Limbo himself can stay in the Rift indefinitely.

Now to the Rift Mechanics. Again, there also is a Wiki page[warframe.fandom.com].

Note the visual difference between in (left) and out (right) of the Rift:
Sounds are also muffled.

The Rift is an entirely different dimension through which things can be seen, but not interacted with. Being in the Rift and attacking an enemy in Reality will not connect. This is one part of why many regard Limbo as the ultimate troll in Warframe: Enemies in the Rift cannot be interacted with by usual means.

Only entities on the same plane (either both in the Rift or both in Reality) can interact with each other. There are a few exceptions to this, most notably Warframe abilities. Almost all of which transcend the Rift-Reality border. If you are an Excalibur wielding an Exalted Blade you can hit enemies both in and outside of the Rift regardless of where you are. Ironically this excludes Limbo's abilities themselves, but more on that later.

This brings us to the first of Limbo's strengths: Turning DPS Warframes into one-way damage dispensers: Enemies can't touch them, but they can still kill just the same.

There also are a few more things to note about the Rift-Reality interaction. In general, if entities are in different planes:
  • Crossing in- and out of the Rift Plane causes 300 Impact damage to enemies.
  • Nothing can be picked up. However, Vacuum effects such as from the Vacuum[warframe.fandom.com] mod still draw in items which will be collected at the first chance.
  • No consoles or lockers can be interacted with. If I recall correctly, Friendship Doors are an exception here.
  • Scanning of enemies is impossible. Scanning of objects still works.
  • Some enemy AoE attacks (such as rockets, missiles or toxic gas clouds) still work.
  • Cameras still work. Laser traps don't.
  • Auras (both Warframe and eximus) with limited range do not work if I recall correctly.
  • Allies can still be revived.

There also is a constant energy regeneration of 2/s for every Warframe inside the Rift, including Limbo. This is further augmented by the actual "passive" ability he has in his description: Limbo regenerates 10 energy per enemy killed, be it by Limbo or his allies, if both the enemy and Limbo are inside the Rift. Depending on how many enemies are killed in the Rift this can make modding for PE rather unimportant.

Now that we understand the Rift and how it works, we can move on to the actual abilities. Quite a complex Warframe if you need more than half a section just to understand how his passive works. Please have patience with people trying to learn playing Limbo :)

Banish

How does it work?
Banish is the first ability Limbo players have access to. It's simple on the surface: Cast it onto an entity (Warframe, enemy, etc) to put it and everything around it into the Rift, dealing additional 250 (PS) impact damage along with the 300 base dimension change from the general Rift Plane mechanics.
Enemies will be knocked down too, allowing for easy ground-finishers. Entities stay in the Rift for a base 25 seconds (PD), and the ability costs base 25 energy (PE).

It can be cast up to 35 meters (PR) and in essence sends out an invisible "wave" of Rift-energy that extends to maximum range no matter what. Its initial width is 5 meters, but grows wider the further away targets are.

This might be a bug, but to me it seems as if the range at least in the Simulacrum is limited to at most 60 meters no matter how much PR Limbo is modded for and how much the ability screen displays.

Here's where things get tricky again:

Banish works in both directions, but can only be cast onto targets which are in the same plane as Limbo. If you have an enemy in Reality you can't bring him into the Rift from the inside, you have to exit and banish them. The same is true trying to remove an enemy from the Rift: It can only be done from the inside.

Also, not every object can be targeted. If it's an actual moving non-boss entity it is. If it's something static like a defense objective or, well, a boss, it's not.

There also is an ability augment called Rift Haven[warframe.fandom.com]:
Allies banished to the Rift (NOT back to reality) are healed by 25% (PS) of their maximum health. It's a low-grade healer ability for all these objectives and allies which can be targeted, but it's not worth the mod slot if you ask me. Better to bring a dedicated healing Warframe along with the team.

What to use it for?

This ability can be put to many uses, but mainly banishing allies which mustn't die. Be the operatives in rescue, defection and special defense missions, DPS frames with limited or in favor of power sacrificed durability, or just about any average Warframe in high-level endless missions.

Funny fact: In the old days putting an ally into stasis then leaving the mission would leave them unable to ever exit the Rift, doomed to be unable to kill or, in fact, be killed. That's a lot of troll for one frame... Nowadays a simple roll will solve any such issues.

What to mod it for?

As it's mostly an utility ability it'll fit into however you build the rest of your Limbo. There's not much right or wrong modding that can be done here alone. It's huge AoE in theory makes it able to kill hordes of low-level enemies, but survivors need to be returned or killed by Limbo himself.
The Power of the Rift: Stasis, Rift Surge
Stasis

Here you can see me playing my Shawzin inmidst of level 165 Bombards... But wait, if they have stopped they can't hear anyway... Oh well, who cares.

This is one of Limbo's bread-and-butter abilities. Infinite range: For only 50 energy (PE) a full 15 seconds (PD) every non-Boss enemy in the Rift is completely stopped. Even if a Boss is still able to move any projectile they fire will be stopped too, up to 300 projectiles can be stored in the Rift for performance-reasons (otherwise it'd be a potential resource leak), if this number broken the Stasis will end and every projectile will be released.

FYI: This also did apply to ally weapons before. Limbo could literally block all gunfire from allies. Another reason why he was considered the biggest troll of Warframe. As this correctly implies, melee attacks still worked even then. In exchanged for now 15 instead of 30 seconds there is no more restrictions to guns, so feel free to fire away.

Since the ability has infinite range so long as one Limbo has Stasis active all enemies in the Rift, no matter who put them by which means will be stopped. Overlapping Stasis creates truly infinite uninterrupted CC for all inside the Rift.

The ability can be canceled at any time and recast directly after. This time it doesn't matter if Limbo is in the Rift or Reality.

Stasis will end if some ability-nullifying effect hits Limbo, from Nullifier Bubbles to falling off a cliff and being reset to the top everything is included, but an individual enemy in Stasis being "nullified" won't end the ability itself.

What to use it for?

Stopping an entire room worth of enemies in their tracks. It can even freeze semi-boss enemies which reduce normal duration of abilities applied to them by a certain amount (as in abilities applied to them only lasting X%) for the full duration. Examples are Corpus Brokers in the Index or Grineer Executioners in Rathuum, and (POST-SECOND-DREAM SPOILER WARNING) Sentient fighters, making Limbo very adept at surviving against all of them.
Note that these entities will still reduce the working duration of Banish, as it is an effect applied to them personally. The latter ones as of Operation Scarlet Spear have received diminishing returns to stasis as well as Limbo could make the entire mission set of that operation a shooting gallery.

Also, this makes headshots a breeze. Be sure to aim there.

What to mod it for?

Stasis scales off only one stat: PD. Well, and PE, but that's secondary. So if you want to freeze enemies longer you need higher PD, but there's always just re-casting it.

Rift Surge

One of the least understood abilities when looking on it on paper, but it's an important one nonetheless. It's similar to Stasis when it comes to casting: Even from Reality, for only 50 energy (PE) he can start it, but there's one additional condition: At least one enemy must be inside the Rift within 25 meters (PR) of Limbo.

Upon cast all enemies inside the Rift are charged with Rift energy, When they are killed this energy is transferred to another enemy within 25 meters (PR), regardless whether they are inside the Rift or not, but killing a surged enemy outside the Rift will simply dissipate the surge. This energy does nothing, seemingly, but reacts as soon as that enemy is pulled outside the Rift.

IMPORTANT: It does NOT trigger if an enemy in Reality receives a surge transfer or if a surged enemy inside the Rift, it absolutely only triggers if a surged enemy inside the Rift is pulled out!

Each surge has a set duration of 25 seconds (PD), even if it transfers it doesn't refresh. If all enemies in range are surged the ability cannot be cast or refresh existing surge duration.

Once a surged enemy is transferred out of the Rift by any means they consume the surge and Banish themselves and all enemies inside of 5 meters (PR) radius into the Rift. Yes, using a combination of Banish and Rift Surge makes it possible for enemies outside the Rift to be forced as a byproduct into the Rift without Limbo having to leave it. Enemies who no longer have a surge can be surged again simply by recasting the ability.

There also is an ability augment mod: Rift Torrent[warframe.fandom.com]. This is where the fun really begins...

Rift Torrent does nothing more than grant Limbo, provided he is inside the Rift, a weapon damage buff of 30% (PS) for every active surge. Sounds low? Unless you're a Chroma and think 900% dmg buff is a lot, Feast your eyes on this!:
Now, to be clear on 3 things:
1) Yes, my Limbo in this moment is dealing over 30 times more weapon damage.
2) There are without any doubt Warframes that can go even higher *cough*Bansheenegativedamageglitch*cough*.
3) This is a peak value. In normal missions, assuming the player remains in one and the same spot they can expect usually between 500 and 1000% with one of the builds attached at the end of the Guide. Depending on how aggressive PS is modded this "average" can go anywhere. I've personally seen it top 3500% if I'm not mistaken and didn't misread the tiny moment it existed at that height.

But wow, even with all these ifs, that's a ton of damage...

What to use it for?

This is 2 things: Your lifeline and (with the augment) your damage. Crazy damage. Make-Chroma-cry amounts of damage, though it's in practice far less reliable, especially now that Chroma can recast his Vex Armor.

Back to the lifeline: Whenever the Rift expires and enemies revert back to Reality they get bounced back into the Rift. And this can continue indefinitely when recasting the ability. Or in other words: Recast your Stasis for infinite CC, recast your Rift Surge to keep them rifted at all times and bring their friends so they can enjoy being stuck in a spider web together. And when the spider needs energy it just kills them with tons of bonus damage... Do I need to say more?

Just remember to recast it whenever you can spare the energy. It synergizes with itself. More enemies surged -> more enemies in the Rift -> more enemies surged. It's a feedback loop upon itself.

What to mod it for?

Range. Range! RANGE! RANGE!!! And a bit of everything else doesn't hurt.
As the amount of enemies possible to surge scales with distance and if the duration runs out it can simply be recast that's the most important stat. However, casting it a lot also requires a lot of energy, so an increased energy pool or PE isn't a bad idea either.

If you want to run Rift Torrent I've found it to be more effective to mod for range than mere strength. My default Limbo has slightly negative PS and still has lots of damage simply because a lot of enemies are in the Rift. So it's range all the way down...
The Extend of the Rift: Cataclysm
This is what Limbo is best known for. Well, other than trolling people. Why banish a couple enemies at a time when you can just banish an entire room off the face of the map for a while?

Cataclysm

In essence Cataclysm is a zone inside which both allies and enemies are pulled into the Rift. Even backflips, Limbo's dash, enemy Ability Duration Reduction (as I was talking about with Stasis), even being a Boss enemy, static defense object or being an ammo or resource pickup or health/energy orb doesn't help. Everything is sucked up by the Rift. Small destructibles like resource caches, windows, etc will be destroyed in an instant (so be careful on these corpus ships). There isn't even the requirement of line of sight to hold him back. And if Limbo wants to he can simply deactivate the Ability and collapse the zone early.

Cataclysm creates a dimensional disturbance of 16 meter radius (PR) for up to 30 seconds (PD), over which the sphere shrinks to a radius of 5 meters (PR). Upon cast and collapse every enemy inside receives 500 blast damage (PS). While the range of the bubble is limited the distance to the object, surface or enemy it is cast onto is effectively infinite.

This allows for very interesting ability synergy. For starters, the entire bubble can be kept under permanent stasis with ease. If modded right it's large enough to allow for allies to fight inside, but even a small bubble can be fired upon from a distance when the attacker is in the Rift. This is easy for Limbo himself, but possible for his allies too.

The fact that the bubble decreases in size over its duration means that using Rift Surge will constantly expose enemies to Reality, rubber-banding them and everything near them back into the Rift. If one wants to simply put an entire map into the Rift the combo of casting Cataclysm, casting Rift Surge and then undoing Cataclysm for all the enemies to be banished again costs a lot of energy but can put a huge area to rest.

Enemies inside Cataclysm can be targeted by Limbo's manual Banish, though they immediately get re-Banished since they are inside Cataclysm. This, however, will also trigger Rift Surges and deal 2x300 impact damage since enemies are being moved twice between dimensions along with the damage Banish deals on its own.

However, there are exceptions to this Rift globe too: Arbitration Shield Drones and enemies they link to never enter the Rift, even inside Cataclysm. Interactables like trying to insert a Datamass into a console also remain in reality at all times. However, Datamasses and other objects of that kind, even normal pickups like ammo, resources, energy or health orbs can be picked up normally inside Cataclysm. Another thing that wasn't the case first if I recall correctly, thus making it near impossible to gather loot for allies once upon a time.

(POST-THE-WAR-WITHIN-SPOILER WARNING): Operators also remain in Reality at all times. If a Limbo is trying to troll you and keep a Cataclysm around let's say a defense objective in mobile defense where a Datamass needs to be used it's possible to drop the Datamass, pick it up as Operator, enter the Cataclysm and insert it. As far as I know Operators can pick them up even inside Cataclysm.

There's a few more oddities, such as energy cells for the Excavators in Excavation missions responding to a nearby Extractor no matter if the player or the Extractor is in the Rift, but you'll find those out piece by piece just fine.

The biggest weakness are Nullifiers. While Limbo himself entering a Nullifier Bubble doesn't do anything other than deactivating Stasis if it's active, one touch from Nullfield to Cataclysm and the entire Sphere is destroyed. This is the sole reason why Limbo is mostly for use against Grineer and Infested.

Cataclysm also has an Ability Augment called Cataclysmic Continuum[warframe.fandom.com] which in essence grants 1 second (PD) to Cataclysm duration for every enemy killed inside it. It does neither extend the range further nor restore lost range or allow for the duration to exceed its base value, which I found it to be almost useless. Recasting is so much easier and restores the full range anyway.

What to use it for?

Put a Cataclysm around a static defense objective and unless the enemy brings Nullifiers that objective is now defended until the timer of either Cataclysm or Stasis runs out. Recast and repeat. See Grineer and Infested cry. That's what most people use Cataclysm for. But it's more than that.

Cataclysm is Limbo's domain, where he can't be harmed (enemies inside can't move under Stasis, enemies outside in general can't hit him through dimensions) and where, if using Rift Torrent, he can deal tons of extra damage. If Cataclysm is about to collapse there's always the option (provided the Player has enough energy) to activate a Rift Surge and have all the enemies bounce back into the Rift once it expires, is dispelled or undone by Limbo himself.

What to mod it for?

Take a wild guess. Humor me. Here's the answer:
RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE RANGE

Anyone who runs less than 200% range on a Limbo despite having the required mods and mod levels to do differently has my full disrespect, unless they can show me something which really surprises me (you never know if there isn't someone out there who can make this work... I doubt it). I know some people enjoy using negative range to create a tiny zone of containment which can shield an objective but if that's all you want for your Warframe you'd be best served with a Frost. Using a single mutilated ability and running around like just another guy with a gun isn't what I'd call a good choice of tool for the job. Boo to those people, Boo I say!

Even duration isn't that important as Cataclysm can simply be recast, and safely recast when using the trick with Rift Surge. The 500 blast damage is, against everything that matters, negligible.

Again, my complete disrespect to negative-range Limbo players who are experienced and geared up enough to know better! Stay away from Narrow Minded[warframe.fandom.com]!

There also is a very, very slight scaling of the damage based on the number of enemies and enemy health, but it's so tiny that nobody really notices it. That's a remnant of Limbo right after he was reworked some years ago when everyone was playing "Nuke Limbo".

Why "Nuke Limbo"? Because back then a collapsing Cataclysm would deal 10% of all the enemy health (and if I recall correctly shield too) combined to all enemies inside it. In other words: Get 10 of the same level 9999 enemy into the Cataclysm and nullify their armor if they ever had any, then collapse it and all the enemies die, at a range of (if maxed) 44.8 meters. It was nerfed into barely-being-visible-if-one-checks-the-damage-numbers soon after. But it was a whole lot of fun sitting on the cryotank and nuking everything in and out of sight for that week :)

This is what your Cataclysm should look like with 280% (which currently is the maximum possible) range:

Now that we understand Limbo's abilities and their synergies, here's how to build a (serious) Limbo.
Modding a Limbo
All of these under the assumption that you own these mods and have them fused up. Decent Limbo builds can be done with non-primed mods too, but this is to show the extend (literally) of where Limbo can go.

At the beginning of every Limbo build that I can actually approve of needs to be 2 things:

1.) Essential base mods:

I'm slotting in at the very least Overextended[warframe.fandom.com] and Cunning Drift[warframe.fandom.com] for that initial +105% PR that I consider the bare minimum modding Limbo. Note that this will put you at -60% PS. The next vital mod is Primed Continuity[warframe.fandom.com] for a flat 55% PD.

Usually my next step is to use the Corrosive Projection Aura, but that's something anyone has to decide for themselves.

2.) What should this Limbo do?

Ask yourself a couple of questions:

Should it be a Warframe which only protects objectives and does not have the damage buff of Rift Torrent? If so, why not slot in Power Donation[warframe.fandom.com] and help my allies out.

Do I want to make a damage-focused build with high PR and PS? Do I want to make a Limbo who also survives outside of the Rift and isn't entirely reliant on it?

Or one that uses Rolling Guard[warframe.fandom.com], either for the ultimate coward build (if attacking enemies on the outside dash out of the Rift for 3 seconds, do damage while invulnerable, then get back and wait 7 seconds) or maybe use this mod as a safety net if the unexpected happens and Nullifiers invade or I have to fight enemies that can't be controlled through the Rift?

Potentially combine that with Vigorous Swap[warframe.fandom.com] and some Primary Charger[warframe.fandom.com] or Blade Charger[warframe.fandom.com] Arcanes? Or maybe combine all of the above and Rift Torrent to push the damage to the max?

Do I take the extreme range and create huge Cataclysms to synergize? It does make it tempting to synergize with Rift Torrent, but is not required. If so, however, do I use a slot of two to offset the loss of -60% PS or just go with a weaker buff off more enemies?

The potential is near infinite.

3.) Enjoy.

With everything in Warframe there's no one and only "perfect build". But let me show you 6 of mine. Note that I don't own enough Blade and Primary Charger Arcanes yet to make a maxed builds, and there is an example min-range-max-survivablility Limbo in there as an example, though it's not fully modded because it collides a lot with other polarities.

(POST-THE-SACRIFICE-SPOILER): Some of the builds contain mods spoiling The Sacrifice a tiny bit. If you want to go ahead that's fine though.

For simply protecting an Objective and not die running around killing enemies even outside the Rift

My favorite build: Strong and sturdy, with damage buff and high range.

A build relying on Rolling Guard if needed and with even more damage.

Built around swapping out weapons and dealing damage with an even higher buff.

Taking Rift Torrent to unseen numbers but rather fragile itself.

An example of what NOT to do, OK?!
Synergies
Limbo has little in the way of raw Synergies, but it's noteworthy regardless.

In general, CC synergizes with everything in some way unless the other guy is a Nidus[warframe.fandom.com] trying to gather up stacks by using his Larva ability. Enemies under effect of Stasis as far as I remember can't be pulled or pushed away, they are rooted. This does make spamming them with abilities or weapons inflicting heavy but annoying CC (such as a lot of melee slam attacks) possible.

Since enemies don't even move a muscle it's one of the best set-up ability for headshots you will find, on par if not above Frost's Avalanche. So bring a Harrow in your squad if you want to enjoy that to the fullest, but note that for him to charge up he needs enemies to deal damage. Possibly combine that with Limbo recasting his abilities and bridging the brief moment of enemy movement with an invulnerability buff.

But on the other hand, Limbo synergizes well with fragile DPS Warframes which rely on his CC or simply the invulnerability Banish provides. A Mesa, Banshee, Saryn, Excalibur and many others will always enjoy being able to roam around without fear of being one-shot in high-level endless missions. Note that, while Mesa has an up to 95% damage reduction ability it only applies to ranged attacks, not melee strikes. Saryn also has the limitation that she needs to spread the spores mostly by damaging enemies with weapons which would require her to shoot enemies inside the Rift or go back to Reality if the need arises.

There's always a reason to bring Limbo along in spy missions as he is the Warframe allowing for full movement (except the maneuvers which cause Warframes to exit the Rift). Bringing an Ash[warframe.fandom.com] with the Smoke Shadow[warframe.fandom.com] augment or an Octavia[warframe.fandom.com] alongside a Limbo will make them and anyone else accompanying them into invisible, untouchable ninjas. This makes spy missions a piece of cake. I heavily suggest this for those poor unfortunate souls who are trying to farm Ivara... It only took 1 million runs for me, stand tall!

That's all the reasonable ones I can think of right now, but I'm sure there's a lot I haven't thought of.

These abilities only work if the enemy is currently inside the rift. You'll need to use your 1st and 4th ability to get them there.

I was just surfing around on Steam and saw this. And I've gotta say: This is the kinda of guide you'd expect from an inquisitive Limbo player who's an expert at his job.

10/10 Guide. Should gain more attention.

I think that depends on what you use your Limbo for. In my experience duration simply isn't an issue. As long as you have the energy you can simply recast. Also, when range of 280% you can depending on the locations sometimes defend two extractors with the same cataclysm.

There is a slight problem with kill duration when it comes to extractor energy cells, that I can't deny. Though mostly it just requires players to roam around to the edges of cataclysm and simply kill the frozen new spawns. It's easy for the Limbo to find them because the damage numers will pop up and show exactly where enemies are.

Though you clearly did research on the ability interactions, your suggested modding is detrimental to optimal limbo play, where duration is infinitely more useful. Anything above 124% range is overkill and completely for most uses, exceptions being crate clear builds, which need 280%, but kill duration, and excavation, which can use anywhere from 169% to 199% while maintaining the necessary 300% duration.
