Description

This mod, quite simply, adds a bunch of new game starts to choose from that I personally used and then turned into this mod for release. Some are easier than others. There isn't much to exactly explain here; it does exactly what it sounds like: adds new game starts.

Obviously, an import is not required since it's all game starts.

Game Starts

The game starts are as followed:
  1. Cyborg
  2. Martial Artist
  3. Newbie Tech Hunter
  4. Dust Bandit
  5. Swamper
  6. Anti-Slaver
  7. Crab Raider
  8. Foglands Survivor
  9. Exiled Shek
  10. Flotsam Ninja
  11. The Nomads
  12. Holy Paladin
  13. Wanted Swordsman
  14. Rebooted Skeleton
  15. Two Best Friends
  16. The Boy and his Bat
  17. Ex-Leviathan Slayer

Don't forget to rate up if you do enjoy the mod, it's much appreciated.
Also, please let me know if any strange things occur during character creation on a new game.

Maybe it's just me or maybe I'm the only one, but I've noticed that the mod conflicts with genesis when selecting start

Having a hard time with the crab raider start. For some reason there are patrolling gangs of evil crabs roaming around crab city, and my fellow crab raiders dont help me at all, they only heal me up when I get clobbered to death. Any idea why this is the case?

Yep.
Took me some time to learn it myself.
Good to know you got it working.

@Dosboy
I haven't looked at my mod organization in quite some time, so I would've needed to take a bit of a look to find what exactly I'd need to know and explain, but good to know you also figured out a workaround.

*For MY main character

@Fleshly Delight. Thanks for your reply. I was working with Shidan and another person and we were unable to find the field for your main character to change their dialog option. There are actually two fields but one does nothing. We couldn't locate the other one. As a work around I just recruited a skeleton, copied my character's stats and then dismissed her as a very powerful Tech hunter trader. Most of her stats were around 90. :) Thanks for the great mod.

Thanks for that explaination, very interesting to learn how to do it in the future.

I am lucky that Cattrina made the start for me and I have begun my playthrough!

Thank you!

Not in this mod, no, but I can explain how to get that easily.

Since I detailed editing mod files already right below, I'll just go from there.

Do the same things to get to the point where you can edit the .mod, except open the "Game Start" you want to edit and look for the "money" option under "General".
Take whatever amount it says in there and replace it with "100,000".
Go to the right of that and change the "town" section to only add "Squin".

Save file, unsub from the mod on the Workshop.

Continuing from the last post:

As for the Game Starts, you'd just select "Game Starts" and work from that point.

I'm not certain, but my guess on how you'd change the "Mute" start would go by selecting whatever start it's called, opening the squad, and then what the selected "dialogue package player" is.
If it's something that looks modded, open it and take a look.
If it's just forcing your character to be mute, deselect it and add a dialogue with something like "player character default".

After that, just hit the save button at the top left and unsubscribe from the mod so it isn't overwritten by the Workshop mod instead of your new Local mod.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "Mute" start as I don't *think* I've done that here, though I can explain how to edit mod files or look for more information on them.

I'm exhausted currently, but I'll try to explain best I can:

If you were going to try and edit the mod with it though is to go to your "steamapps\workshop\content\233860" folder and find the mod ID you're looking for—which can be found easily by just looking at the link to the mod at the top of your screen i.e. this mod is "1712981485"—and copy the entire folder.

Place the folder inside of "steamapps\common\Kenshi\mods" and then rename the folder to whatever the .mod file says—this mod folder would need to be renamed to "Game_Starts_+".
Go and open the FCS as usual and have the bottom area have the mod your trying to edit active, but none of the others in the below area.

Edit whatever you need to from there.

Is there one that starts near Squin with a lot of money, say 100k?

I lost my old save and don't really wanna start from 0.
