Dual wielding Assassin is a heavy glass cannon build yep. I tend to go dual wielding for Warfare builds lol. Rogue or Hunting can go Spear pretty easily so I can see spear Assassin being pretty good through some other combos like Warden, Haruspex, Pilgrim would likely be higher tier for spear.
If played correctly, it will very rare that a monster get the chance to touch you. The posibility to apply rogue's poisons at range is incredible OP. Maxing attack speed and movement speed you are untouchable, extremely safe build. It became my favorite and strongest build I ever tried. This one for sure deserves a try.
A resume would be: High physical/poison damage with tremendously increased damage in piercing/bleeding (boosted by both masteries), Best single target DPS, really GOOD AOE damage (shreding through enemies).
Hope its a helpful addition to its incredible guide, full of knowledge and time invested by Chris.
I noticed that you mentioned a lot of great builds, but I dont see my 2 main builds that I think that are really good. So I mention this to maybe help new players or veterans that didnt try all the posible existant builds.
My first build is the Assassin (Rogue/Warfare) melee build with OK aoe and really good single target DPS. If played dual wielding, you will have low defense/resistances. I prefer spear/shield.
It deserves a try, really fun to play.
