How To Screw Half Life 2 Textures

This Is Dumb...

I Found A Really Cheap To Get Every Texture Missing (sadly not the menu textures tho)

Screw The Textures

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GCFSCAPE. ITS A YOU MUST THING

Start By Getting To The hl2 Folder. Right Click Half Life 2 In Steam Library Then Go To Properties, Local Files Tab, Browse Local Files, hl2

You Should Be Here






Also Open "hl2_textures_dir" And Always Keep It Open

Make A New Folder Called "custom"






In That Make A New Folder And Call It What Ever You Want (yes you can keep it as NewFolder)






AND IN THAT make a new folder called "materials"






Then Drag From GCFSCAPE "root/materials/console" In You Folder







Then In GCFSCAPE Go To Options Then Turn Volatile Access Off And Turn Write Access On

Close GCFSCAPE Then Open It. If Write Access Is Turned Off When You Open It You Did It Wrong. So In That Case Turn On Write Access And Keep Trying











But Keep GCFSCAPE open

Congrats... You Broke Half Life 2!!!!

enter the game and see if it worked. all textures should be gone

If You Want To Fix The Game Then Quit, Go To GCFSCAPE Turn On Volatile Access Again, Close GCFSCAPE, Open GCFSCAPE If Its Not On Keep Trying. If It Is On Then Close GCFSCAPE And It Should Work
