Team Fights and how you should do it

Greetings brave Warrior !!

I see you are new in this Fight.

First let me explain something to you.

(My Native language is German so sorry for some grammar mistakes )

I. Blocking / Parry ( Default Keys)

Le me give you a little advice before you charge into the enemie and die like a true Warrior.

1. Blocking Basics

Blocking is one of the most important Skills in Chivalry. Nobody is immortal, even the Heavy Knight the Tank can die if he dont block.

You want to know how to block properly ?

Press the right mouse button. Ahh i see not so hard isnt it ? Ayye continue.

And watch the stamina bar, if you depleted and get hit while blocking, yarr get a bit dizzy.

2. Blocking adv. training

Now sometimes you will still get damage even when you block ?????
Yes yes, i know.

The best way to do so is to look at the enemy weapon when he attacks.
If the enemy jump and srike from above, look at the enemy weapon and press RMB.
If the enemy attack from the right side, look t it and press RMB.

Another vital essence to blockng is youre movement. Dont stand still and play like a rock.
Move dat Armour , and always keep youre enemy in front of you.

Timing is very important

Blocking with an shield is not so hard.
But with a weapong take some time to master.

Dont block late or early. Watch the enemy carefully and time youre blocks.

II. Attack

Now i see you want to kill the enemy. Johoo just shooting at him is fun , but sometimes a pirate have to use his cutlass or boarding axe.

1. Basic

There are 3 ways to hurt youre enemie.

Swing, stab and overhead.

Swing is good to hit severel enemies.
Stab has the most reach and is a good way to keep the enemie at range.
Overhad is hard to hit but do the most damage.

And watch the stamina bar.
Every attack cost some stamina.


2. Adv combat

You want to kill an enemy who is always dodging or blocking ?

Find a weak spot and attack him.

If you have and Spartan with a big shield in front of you try to hit him when you see a open spot.
An open spot is like when you come very close to him , and see his right or left shoulder.

Another way is to wait until he do a mistake or he run out of stamina.

Moving is also very important. A good warrior , always move and never stands still.

III. Teamfights

Haa, i see you can block and attack now.
But why do i always hit my teammates ?

Look at this and you will see its so good to have some mates behind da.

I. Teamfight ( 1 vs 2)

You see 1 enemy and 1 ally fighting.
You want to help him but if you do wrong you can hit youre ally even kill him.

First of all take a good positions try to stay beside youre ally.
If youre ally is full of blood and got low HP , stand in front of him so he get some rest.

Engage the enemy and show him you dont let him get youre ally !!!

Then if you attack the enemy dont press LMB.
I know its very easy to hit but please !!!!! DONT !!!!!.

The swing attack is the best way to hurt or kill youre teammates.

In teamfights always stab or overhead !!!

Watch the fight closely and if you cant attack wait for a better moment.
Try to harmony with youre ally and always keep an eye on the enemy.

And again the movement in chivalry is vital !!

Never start an attack if an ally is in front in you, move a bit and find a better place.
I know a good score and many kills look good, but to win as a team is better.

II. Group fights

Like in the first section use the same combat movements and attacks.

1. Dont use LMB ,
2.Try to protect youre ally
3. Keep an eye on the enemy.


There you go , now you are ready for the battlefield. ATAAAAAAAAAAAAAACKKKKKKK !!!!

Thanks for all the nice comment :-). @ Muppet, as i wrote down, i jsut say dont use it in a team fight, cause you hit with a 90 % chance a mate. And yes its true LMB is very effective to hit several enemies. ( Next time, write more carfully mate) ^^

I don't agree with not using LMB. You should use what attack is best for the situation. If you have a 2 hander and there are 2-3 enemies, lmb is the obvious choice. Becouse you get a wider range to hit that way.
