Basics
In the patch 1.9.32 for Skyrim , Bethesda has messsed up something with MFG commands and they've stopped to work.

Immediately many modders tried to bring these functions back to Skyrim and many of them succed.

First step to use "mfg" commands is to download a mod that fixes this problem.

Click here to download Mfg Console mod[skyrim.nexusmods.com].

This mod requires you to have SKSE which can be downloaded here[skse.silverlock.org].

Similar Mods

There are other mods that also can alter a facial expressions in some way.
Just remember that mods below are not used in this guide , all you need is to download Mfg Console mod which is this guide based on.

- Enhanced Character Edit[skyrim.nexusmods.com]
You can change a facial expressions in the race menu via sliders . Its very easy to use but for longer tweaking it might get annoying because you need to enter a command (showracemenu) each time when you want to change expressions.

- Lively Lovely Screenie[skyrim.nexusmods.com]
Forces the player to say a unvoiced dialogue which can be stopped at any time with the help of "tfc 1".
Usefull for movie making.

A short note. I'm using all three mods and I haven't encountered any problems.
Getting started
After instalation you can open there a command tab by pressing "~" and here you can start typing commands listed below.

There are three types of mfg commands.

First one is "mfg expression" which changes your character mood ( anger, happy, sad etc )
Second one is "mfg phoneme" which alters your character mouth animation. (show teeth,close/open mouth)
Last one is "mfg modifier" where you can change position of iris/brow or close/blink an eye.

Before you can apply these commands you need to click on your character in "~" command mode otherwise it won't work. ( in the 3rd person view )

Next just choose what emotion you want, for example lets take a happy mood expression,
so the command will be "mfg expression 2 100" .

A number "2" is a emotion ID which you can find below in the "MFG list" section or just look at the screenies.

Number "100" represents how strong current emotion will be. You can change it from 0 to 100.
So if you want a half-strong just type "mfg expression 2 50".

You can combine several mfg commands to achieve interesting results but remember, if you type "mfg reset" it will reset your character facial animations back to normal ( neutral ).

MFG - Expressions
MFG - Phoneme
These 30/60/90 just shows a number code for the emotion in the image order, from left to right, so don't type "mfg phoneme 0 30/60/90" but "mfg phoneme 0 30".
I you want an emotion from the first image.

MFG - Modifier
BrowInL and BrowInR are really hard, to notice a difference.

Animation effect on brows might depend on the brow texture/mod you are using.

Usefull commands
I also recommend this tutorial made by other person.

Or this guide about making good-looking screenshots , step by step.

Another bunch of commands which will help you with screenshotting:

TM - toggle UI off/on
TMM 1 - all marks unclocked on the world map
TGM - god mode
TCL - no clip
TAI - turns off AI
TFC - free camera mode
TFC 1 - free camera mode but it stops time . Usefull in making action shots.
FOV X - where x is an number from 0 to 120 or even higher

Thanks to my friends.

My avatar used in Skyrim its an ECE ( Enhanced Character Edit ) race morph + various textures from many mods mixed together. . . and lots of hours spent in the creation page.

I don't have any plans for releasing her ( save or files ) anytime soon.

If you have any ideas how I could improve guide let me know. I'm always open for suggestions.

I just noticed that my character's eyes seem to revert back to being screwed up whenever i run the game (after closing), is there a way to save the adjustments from MFG or should i just stick with altering them every time i want to see my character's face? (unfamiliar with MFG btw) thanks!

Yeah good idea.

I was planning on the updating this guide, lots of new stuff is missing here like a mod you have described , shorter commands etc.

I might also update my model , this one seems to be quite "old"

Nice. I would personally add the mod Female Facial Animation by nao4288. It improves the look of the expressions as some of the defaults can look a bit derpy. :)
