"Made a trip to the food store earlier today and I could not *not* stop by their beer section. The store I went to has a big selection of Quebec craft beers. It's like shopping in heaven... *_*

So I had been eyeing that Catnip one for a little while, even though I generally don't like IPA's. But... you know... that can. Don't tell me you've never bought a beer solely because you liked the label? 7.5% ABV 45 IBU.

Aaaand you've got Suricat Framboises ("sur" in French can mean "sour" and framboises, that's raspberries). This one should definitely be up my alley, as I tend to really love fruit beers. That seems to be a German-style wheat raspberry-flavored beer. Really looking forward to tasting that one. :3 4.5% ABV.

Both beers were brewed by Noctem. www.noctem.ca/ (yeah, there's an English version of the site)"

The best part is... Noctem is located in Quebec City, where I live. Will definitely have to haul my arse there at some point. I want one of their glasses to add to my collection. I just don't have friends here who are interested in craft beers.

On a side note, Catnip was probably the best IPA I've ever had. I could maybe buy it again. Aaaaand... I don't wanna get rid of the cans just yet. :ToastKitty:

Ah damn. I didn't think of checking if they had translated the beers' description. Nope. So yeah... it poured a beautiful pink-colored beer with maybe 1cm of light pink foam head that quickly disappeared. Not much lacing. Nose was very raspberry-induced tartness. In mouth, it was just the same. Light... tasted like raspberry (surprise!) with a fair amount of sourness, but not overpowering. Carbonation was... mild, I'd say. It was delicious. And really pwetty. :nicekitty:

"Blanche de Berlin aux framboises. Bière de blé d’une belle couleur rosée induite par des de framboises de l’Ile d’Orléans. Au nez, les notes de framboises et baies sont maîtresses, laissant présager de beaux moments. En bouche, le fruité des framboises et leur légère acidité sont en harmonie avec le léger côté lactique de la fermentation. Bien que légère, cette bière est complexe et goûteuse"
