Where to find the Menu controls for player 1
The Menu controls for player 1 can be found in museum tips.

The controls for QWERTY set up on your keyboard are shown here:

Playing on one keyboard with a friend.
For those who are wondering what the menu keys are to select player 2's character:
Here it is step by step:

1. Select player vs player in the menu to enter the character selection screen.

2. The game will ask you to confirm the controller for player one. for this: Press the "Alt" key

3. The game will ask you to do the same with player 2. Press "NUM -" to do so.

4. For player 2 to select their character the menu buttons are as follows:
"NUM 0" = Confirm
"NUM ." = Cancel
"NUM 8"=Move selector up
"NUM 6"= Move selector right
"NUM 4"= Move selector left
"NUM 2"=Move selector down
"NUM /"=Change Weapon (Won't work for Characters made in Character Creation)
"NUM -"=Change Control Settings

5. After both players have selected their characters, player one will select the stage. After this you are all set! Happy fighting!

Note: If the movement keys on the numpad arent working: Try pressing the "Num Lock" key to fix it.

If you do not have a numpad on your keyboard then it might be in your best interest to buy a usb controller for your friend to play on.
In game controls for both players
Player 1 and Player 2's control scheme can be changed via the options menu.

Here is Player 1's Default In-Game control schemes for battle:

Here is Player 2's:

I hoped this helped,

Happy Gaming!

I only use a keyboard to play Soul Calibur VI. Key timing takes time to perfect but the keyboard might be even better than a controller with practice. If a keyboard player knows every move for their character the sky is the limit. With a controller there is a delay in milliseconds when the player moves to a different button. A keyboard player can have their hand resting on A,B,K and the ABK combo button at all times. If they want to guard or counter they only have to move a finger. I think this is why a keyboard warrior who knows their character has an advantage over controller players.

You should be able to play with a friend online using the Network mode in the game and selecting casual match. Make sure the options for the room are set to private or have a private slot reserved for your friend or friends. provided they have their own copy of the game and have a steam account, you should be able to invite them that way. Here's a website on the subject: https://twinfinite.net/2018/10/soulcalibur-vi-play-with-friends-how/
