Bloody Streets is a 2D top-down brutal and challenging shooter game with lots of blood. The game has been developed by our indie game development team, Headless Wizard.
It is a modern remake of classic top down shooter formulas and our goal was to reinvent the feel of the old arcade games with the desired quality by the players today.

Game main features are:
  • Fast paced arcade style action
  • Use of the environment as weapons in combat
  • Unique art style
  • Traditional frame by frame animations
  • Music dynamic rhythm system

Game made using our game engine based on XNA API and we did a lot of optimization to reach high fame rate.Focusing on a PC game led us to handle lots of enemies, destructions, physical simulations to make this game exciting.Bloody Streets has high level of detail in gameplay, visual and player experience.

The main character is a military trained soldier that steps into infected areas to clear them from enemies.His goal is to reach the infection source and destroy it.

This game is all about killing enemies and the player should overcome the enemy waves to clear each level.
Shoot enemies using various weapons! Throw grenades and explode them! Knife to slice and cut them into halves! Use your rage power to blood out and make the streets red!

On top of the basic combat mechanics, environment weapons are another main gameplay feature.In Bloody Streets the number of enemies is really higher than any other top down shooter we have ever seen and the player should use the environment weapons to overcome this challenge.Environment weapons like trains, fire flames, industrial saws and etc.

The game has 25 levels formed in 4 chapters and will take 3 to 4 hours .

It’s a 2D top down game and our artists tried to make a unique artstyle for it.Our artstyle is a combination of real and fantasy elements within an integrated package and it lets us to make a bloody and brutal but colorful game.
We use traditional animation system and animate every motion frame by frame to reach our desired quality.

Musics are metal core and have high energy rhythms so in order to control the pace of the player and manage the excitement level we made a dynamic rhythm system.
Dynamic rhythm system is the technique used for level music that syncs enemy waves difficulty with rhythm and adds cooldowns to it. In every wave, the dynamic music system will coordinate music pace with game designer’s estimated wave difficulty number.

We completed development and it’s ready to be released.
Our engine is based on XNA and ready for the PC Windows version, however since there is a high interest for Mac and Linux platforms within the community, we are trying to port the game to Mac and Linux using MonoGame.We hope it to be released for PC ,Mac and Linux at the same time.

As an indie developer we are extremely affected by the players community and we like to keep a close and friendly relationship with the player community as we proceed with our development.We have made the game and so we are here on Greenlight on your screens and we hope you make this happen on Steam.
