Intro
I got a Riven for the Exergis, so I figured I'd make a nice guide for it. The Exergis is a lot like the Tigris Prime, just more consistent in my opinion.
Standard Build
As usual with status-based shotguns, the most important goal is to reach 100% Status Chance before Multi-shot is calculated. This can be achieved by adding a minimum of +177.8% Status Chance to Exergis (three 60/60 elemental mods without a Riven, two with an average Riven, only ONE with a perfect Riven). Once you hit that 100% sweet spot, every pellet will proc on every shot.

THE standard 100% status build. VICIOUS SPREAD CURRENTLY HAS NO NEGATIVE EFFECTS ON EXERGIS. Ammo Stock, and Chilling Reload are entirely optional, but highly recommended. You can swap Vicious Spread for Vigilante Armaments for an extra ~2/3 procs per shot, and Scattering Inferno can be replaced with Shell Shock if preferred. Be wary of adding more elemental damage than necessary, as it will dilute your proc pool and make Slash/Viral less likely to occur. Adding +Damage% or +Multishot% instead of +Elemental% will raise overall DPS without altering the status proc ratio.
A ++/- Riven with over 117.8% Status Chance and as much Multishot as possible, with a relatively-harmless negative (-Puncture/-Impact/-Zoom/-Ammo are ideal). Ammo pool is reduced to 24 shots on this one, which proves to be more than enough for the weapon's abysmal effective rate-of-fire. 13 procs per shot with Hell's Chamber and Vigilante Armaments.
The Riven build. Green stats on the left reflect the improvements over the basic build. The second and third status mods have been removed, and the third elemental type is gone. Slash procs are the priority! Absolutely no more elemental damage than necessary.
Reaching 100% Status Chance before Multishot
No Riven: +177.8% SC needed = 3x 60/60 Elementals (Toxic Barrage/Frigid Blast/Shell Shock/Scattering Inferno)

>57.8% SC Riven: +120% SC needed = 2x 60/60 Elementals (saves one slot and optimizes proc pool toward Slash and your desired combo element)

>117.8% SC Riven: +60% SC needed = 1x 60/60 Elemental (saves TWO slots, optimizes proc pool, allows Viral to be created with Chilling Reload)
Multishot Mods & Proc Count
No Multishot: 3 procs per shot

Hell's Chamber: 6 procs, 60% chance of 7 procs

Hell's Chamber + Vigilante Armaments: 8 procs, 40% chance of 9 procs
Other Mods
-Vicious Spread/Tainted Shell/Narrow Barrel/Double-Barrel Drift: The +Accuracy and -Spread mods have no noticeable effects. I'm unsure if this is a bug or intentional. It kinda sucks, but it also means that Vicious Spread's curse stat has no effect either! This offers lots of extra damage with no consequence. If Exergis is patched to be affected properly by these mods, Vicious Spread will become completely nonviable, and Tainted Shell will become a very attractive choice.

-Corrosive Procs: Due to the low pellet count and low number of procs per-shot, Corrosive status is inherently less effective on Exergis than other 100% SC shotguns. Viral becomes the ultimate choice for high-level one-shot nuking. Ideally: a single Viral proc will half an enemy's HP, then a handful of Slash procs will chip away at their remaining health, ignoring Armor/Shields.

-Chilling Reload: This will bring your Reload time down to 1.1 second, and can be combined with Toxic Barrage to create Viral. Combine with Ammo Stock for a satisfying boost in effective rate-of-fire.

-Ammo Stock: The magazine size can be increased to two shots. Normally I would never recommend "wasting" a slot on such a mod, but Exergis is a special case.

-Seeking Fury/Seeking Force: UNNECESSARY. Exergis has 0.5m of innate Punch Through, which is just barely enough to pierce most humanoid enemies (including Shield Lancers). You'll rarely need more. This allows you a free slot that would have otherwise gone to an obligatory core mod!

-Blunderbuss: Never use this. The extra 7.2% Crit Chance is not worth it.

-(Primed) Ravage: Situationally-useful at best, with flat crit buffs like Adarza Kavat's Cat's Eye/Harrow's Covenant/Arcane Avenger. You probably shouldn't bother equipping this though. Exergis has one of the most pitifully-low CD multipliers in the game, and Primed Ravage only raises it to a meager 2.9x.

-Sweeping Serration: Probably never worth it, since Slash is less than half of the base damage. Although this will make Slash more likely to proc.

IMHO, corrosive isn't beneficial to me because whenever I do runs against high level armour either most of my party has corrosive projection, or I'm running a frame that strips armour.

Viral Slash is far more powerful a combination, even with high level armour factored in with no reduction, my testing in the simulacrum displayed faster kill times on my build versus other corrosive builds.

Vigilante Armaments is already in the build, don't see why you're bringing it up

Chilling Reload is in both builds? The combination of Chilling Reload and Ammo Stock makes the gun very nice to use, as having 2 shots in the chamber eliminates a reload altogether, far more powerful than tac pump.

Blaze sucks because you start getting Radiation procs instead of slash, the main reason to use this weapon.

I have done the math, I would not write false information. I think your methodology is flawed.

IMHO, you kinda missed the point of 100% status chance, and decided to build it in opposite way.
1) I feel like Corrosive is way more beneficial. Thats kinda the point of 100% status chance shotguns. Viral would be good for <100% status as occasional boost, but if you have 100% chance, you gotta make use of it.
2) Speaking of making a use of it - Vigilante Armaments gives 2 extra pellets with extra procs. All the more reason to use corrosive.
3) Ammo stock is a nice idea, but i believe Chilling Reload would be better on default, since reload speed = fire rate. Maybe even boost more with Tactical Pump.
4) I am way to lazy to do (or google) math, but im pretty sure Blaze is more or less alway more beneficial then then Vicious Spread. However, since it needs 3 60\60 mods, guess its reasonable to keep corrosive proc chance at least equal to non-corrosive elemental.

Учитывая, что всего 3 дробинки, то часто просто одного выстрела не хватает на убиение одной цели. И это в то время, когда на не 100% статусной Арке,до нерфа синергии я убивал толпу через МР с пронзанием навылет.

Yes but this build does not care about armour, the reason you want multiple viral procs is because they lower enemy HEALTH.

1. Target's original health is 500/500.
2. Damage occurs : 450/500.
3. Viral b Viral proc occurs: 225/250.
4. Second damage occurs, proc refreshes: 175/250.

This is just an mathematical example, but in my opinion and after my use in the Simulations and in the Field, doing more viral is better than more radiation. It's not the individual damage that really matters, it's the procs. Radiation procs aren't useful, viral procs are. Everytime you get a viral proc you've basically killed the enemy.

Radiation does a significant amount of damage against armor. The gun also regularly procs Rad, slash and Viral each shot. the build I use has higher damage overall: 30k Rad, 7k slash and 17k viral, meaning the slash numbers will be larger as well. With 2 headshots on a 120 corrupted gunner it can bleed them out a little more than 3/4 of the time, so 3 shots is safe. Rad does a strong initial damage with a near guarantee of viral or slash, and the second shot will cover the other that did not proc, as well as basically doubling the initial rad damage if viral procced initially. The build is also overall cheaper and easier to build.

that's an odd choice imo, radiation procs on a gun like this? I can see it on an aoe weapon like the ignis, but on this gun? The idea of a viral slash build is that you halve the enemies health and bleed them with the slash procs that ignore armour.

Also I don't see the point of the extra damage if you're not procing viral, viral procs do a ton of damage.

Personally I prefer VArmaments and blaze, opting for a higher radiation number instead. I don't like vicious spread over VA simply because the damage is very similar but the spread can cause you to miss. A missed pellet with VS is more impactful than a missed pellet on VA. normally on slash weapons you want slash to be number 1 on priority, but isn't nearly as necessary on a shotty where each pellet can proc separately. This builds proc order goes Rad>Slash>Viral. Rad is a near guarantee and slash procs upwards of 95% with viral a close 3rd. The higher damage affords larger slash procs as well.
The only downside in comparison to yours is the inability to double tap enemies for a quicker, larger burst. But like i said, personal preference.
