Achievement Guide

This guide is to help you achieve all the ACHIEVEMENTS of Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken in the best possible way.

This game has a bit difficult to achieve Achievements and the Achievement section of this game does not explain each of them fully. So, in this Achievement guide, I have put forward the explination of each achevement and the easiest way to get them.

This guide has a refrences to ItalianBungaBunga's guide "Signs: Where and How" which play an important role in my guide.

Some of information on this guide has been taken from the guide of Azlanslayer and Harry94 for the Play Station Vita.

Bazookin'

Bazookin'
Kill 6 enemies with the bazooka.


The best way to unlock this one is that during Chapter 8 you have to go through two elevators the first one you enter is the one you will get the achievement in. You will need to brainbugging the bazooka penguin to progress. Simply brainbug him then keep firing the bazooka to the left of you will kill the 6 enemies situated down there.

Big Blimpin'

Kill all penguins stationed on the big zeppelin in Chapter 8 (Single Player)


In Chapter 8, you need to kill the enemies on the big (second) zeppin to unlock this achievement.

Bird Brained

Bird Brained
Brainbug at least one penguin from each of the 7 penguin ranks, including Putzki.


You have to do this in one playthrough, so it is missable. Here are the Penguins you need to brainbug:

• Soldier - The most common enemy in the game, found in all chapters.
  
• Red Soldier (missable) - Penguin dressed in red. Found in the first blimp or in chapter 8.
  
• Bazooka Penguin - In white dress with a bazooka, you will bug one as per the story in Chapter 8.
  
• General - Blue dress and blue armband. You will encounter them in blimps mainly and in the last few chapters.
  
• Riot Shield Soldier (missable) - The large penguins with a shield and batton.
  
• Elite Riot Shield Solider (missable) - This is the most missable of the lot as there is only one of them. He appears near the end of chapter 12, when you call the lift down. He is standing on the lift with a General. Hide in the wall and kill the general, being wary not to kill the Elite Riot Shield Solider, then hide again. Wait for him to walk past then just spam brainbugs at him until one hits him.
  
• Putzki - The leader of the penguins, you brainbug him as part of the story in chapter 15.

Brainbug Fever

Brainbug 30 enemies


As you progress through the story you'll be given brainbugs by a revolutionist. Brainbugs are like grenades. If you throw one at a penguin and it lands directly below them, it will allow you to control that penguin. The easiest place to do this is at an area where you have to brainbug an enemy to progress, as there is an infinite spawn of penguins that will come through the door. Just keep throwing the brainbugs at them and then make them shoot themselves. The trophy will unlock after you have killed 30.

Dirigibully

Kill all penguins stationed on the small zeppelin in Chapter 8 (Single Player)


In Chapter 8, you need to kill the enemies on the small (first) zeppin to unlock this achievement.

Dirty Half-Dozen

Dirty Half-Dozen
Complete the Cooperative game mode


Team up with a friend and compleate this game in Multiplayer Mode.

Disgruntled Worker

Find 3 Signs

Door Sentry

Kill 30 Penguins as they step out of a door


You can farm this at any spot where you need to brainbug a penguin as they will infinitly respawn out of the door. This achievement can be chained together with Brainbug Fever so you'll earn both of them at once.

Excessive Stacking

Excessive Stacking
Stack all 3 crates near the end of Chapter 11 (Single Player)


Near the end of Chapter 11, you will have to stack up crates on the elevator in order to get up the high ledge. During this process, you can stack up by pushing the crate halfway through the ledge on the second floor; go down and get another crate, and push it on the elevator. Press the button to go up, and now it is stacked on top of another. Repeat this process once more and you are done.

***for those who are have trouble with the stacking achivement, i.e, if first time through you didn't get the achievement. Do a second time through, pushe the boxes all the way to the right as far as you could, before stacking them, and that's when the achievement should pop. [soln. provided by -Atratzu]

Fear the Spur

Kill Brno with the knife


This achievement can only be unlocked after you have found all the signs. On finding all signs, you are provided witha knife. Then jump to Chapter 15 and kill Brno with this knife. Its much easeier to do as compaired to doing it with guns.

Flight Instructor

Juggle an enemy for 10 seconds


You need to keep hitting or shooting the penguin without letting him touch the ground for 10 seconds. This can easily be done on a. When you are at the starting point of the Chapter 1, press your trigger continiously to shoot the penguin for 10 seconds.

Launch the silo missile


During chapter 2, you will eventually reach an area with a chain link fence and missiles that say 'OBEY' on them in the background. At the start of this area is a button. Simply press it and one of the missiles will get launched. The achievement will pop after it has launched.

Friendly Transit

Friendly Transit
Carry the other cooperative player for 500 meters in the same chapter without dying


This achievement can be unlocked in Multiplayer Mode. Just carry your partner on your back and keep on walking for about 30 seconds. You can also go back and forth on the same path to unlock it.

Hardboiled Orca

Hardboiled Orca
Kill 300 penguins or clones


Missable! Kill all the penguins or clones you see throughout the whole campaign and you'll be safe. It will most likely unlock at Chapter 13. The part when you are against 10 waves of enemies.

Hardboiled Seal

Hardboiled Seal
Kill 100 penguins or clones


You will have to kill more than 100 penguins or clones throughout the whole campaign. It will most likely unlock at Chapter 6 during your first playthrough

High Treason

High Treason
Brainbug the penguin above the star in Chapter 6 (Single Player)


A small way into chapter 6, you will come across a bunker with a penguin inside; kill the penguin and climb over the bunker. You now want to walk carefully to the next screen; on this screen there are 2 penguins in watch towers. All you have to do is throw a brainbug at the penguin on the left (You will notice a star on the watchtower frame work). As soon as you brainbug him the achievement will unlock.

Hindenburger

Kill all penguins stationed on the zeppelin in Chapter 3 (Single Player)

Hydrogen Run

Hydrogen Run
Escape the large zeppelin with 40 seconds or more on the timer


This is the second zeppelin you enter during chapter 8. Pretty much as soon as you get in the zeppelin, you will be able to set the bomb to go off on it. What you want to do is just run and gun with the shotgun. Make sure you shoot any penguin in your way with the shotgun so they don't shoot you (really slows you down).

Laser Assist

Laser Assist
Kill an enemy by knocking him into a laser door


There is only once chance you can get this trophy and that is during chapter 6. You will fall down into an area where there is a penguin saying that he is going to leave his job because he is guarding a sewer. All you need to do is throw a brainbug at him, and then walk him to the right into the laser door. The trophy will unlock shortly afterwards.

Mission Complete

Mission Complete
Overthrow Putzki and liberate Albatropolis


Story related and cannot be missed. It will unlock after completing the singleplayer campaign.

One Shot One Kill

One Shot One Kill
Kill 10 enemies, each with one gunshot


Note: This achievement cannot be unlocked at places of infine penguin spawn.
During chapter 2, you will pick up a shotgun and you can now go for this trophy. You don't have to kill 10 in one go; you only have to kill 10 with one bullet. Just shoot a penguin at close range and it will kill them in one shot. This can be done in the same chapter you get the shotgun.

Own Medicine

Kill a helicopter penguin with his own missile

Kill 6 helicopter penguins with their own missiles


A helicopter penguin is only seen when you are in the flying sequence. He will constantly shoot guided missiles, and you can redirect it back to him by flying towards him. You'll get this by chapter 8 if you killed the 3 helicopter penguins on chapter 3. If not, don't worry; there is another flying sequence on chapter 14.

Personal Space

Punch or kick 100 times


Get real close to an enemy and press fire key. You will punch/kick him. When you kick 100 enemies, this achievement is unlocked. This acchiement can be unlocked easily only if you keep it in mind while playing the game.

Too Many Too Soon

Kill 3 enemies with one grenade


This can be unlocked during chapter 13, when Putzki orders waves after you. What you want to do is throw a grenade down after the third wave on-wards starts. This way you'll more than likely hit 3 of them at once. As many as 5 roll down at once so it is very simple to do it in this location.

Turncoat

Kill 20 enemies while brainbugging


Note: This will not work on infinitely re spawning enemies, I.E. ones that come out of doors.
While you are controlling a penguin, you just need to shoot other penguins; that's simple enough. You will more than likely get this through the story if you kill every enemy you see while brainbugging. During the blimp levels, you have many opportunities to kill penguins with other penguins, so don't worry too much about this trophy and just remember it while you're playing.

Thanks for the great guide! Just wanted to confirm that it's possible to get the co-op achievements solo by using an alt account; the hardest part is the final boss, Bruno, but he's doable with some luck, patience, and by sticking to the left side of the screen.

In "own pharmacy" is it viable to shoot the birds to damage them first before guiding the missile back towards them as it takes two missiles to terminate them otherwise.
Fantastic guide, 100% would recommend.

own pharmacy works, excessive stacking works, this guide works* and the included sign guide videos work. well done.

*a riot shield soldier is bugged to open a door in chapter 10 (cannot be missed)
