Putt-Putt Enters the Race - Preview Installation

In this Guide, I will show you how to install & play the Preview for Putt-Putt Enters the Race.

1. Retail Version Story - Start your Engines!

Putt-Putt has to find a number of important objects before he qualifies for the Cartown 500 race: high powered, high octane gasoline, 4 racing tires, a safety helmet for Pep, and a flag with a specific number on it (1-9, Redline Rick tells Putt-Putt his official number on his checklist). When all of the objectives are completed, Putt-Putt is allowed to enter the race. The player is then allowed to race as Putt-Putt at the end of this game.

3. Preview Installation

First, download the ScummVM Emulator here:
http://scummvm.org/

Then, follow these steps:
1. Create a new Folder on your C Drive and Name it: "HEGames".

5. Create a New Folder in your HEGames Folder, then Name it "PuttRacePreview".

6. Copy the Putt-Putt Enters the Race Preview Files to your PuttRacePreview Folder on your Hard Drive.

7. Run the ScummVM Installer & follow the instructions shown.

8. DON'T Open Putt-Putt Enters the Race the Preview Version just yet. If you're using a newer computer, you'll need to use the ScummVM Emulator.

9. Open ScummVM
10. Select "ADD GAME"

11. Find the folder where Putt-Putt Enters the Race the Preview Version is Installed on your Hard Drive, select CHOOSE & then select OK. After that, the game should be added to the ScummVM Library.

12. Highlight Putt-Putt Enters the Race the Preview Version,
then Double-Click on it to start or select START.

13. Enjoy the Preview

Extra High Powered High Octane Gasoline: One of 4 Key Items you need to enter the Cartown 500, you'll need a Gas Can to do so.

Super Speed Radial Racing Tires: The 2nd Key Item you need to enter the Cartown 500,
you need 4 Coins to get these & you'll have to wait until the end of the game to use them otherwise, you'll drive around Cartown too fast.

Safety Helmet: The 3rd Key Item you need to enter the Cartown 500. Pep can wear this item for protection at the end of the game.

Triangular Racing Flag: The 4th & Final Key Item you need to enter the Cartown 500,
you'll also need to have your Racing Number as well.

Pep: Putt-Putt's Pet Dog, clicking on him will make him bark.
