How to change your dupes picture (on windows 7)

A guide to changing the main picture of your dupe for uploading to the steam workshop. For some reason this is not a supported feuture on the steam workshop. If you are using another operating system than windows seven this guide will probably still help.

Reasons For Making This Guide

Recently I made a dupe called Orbital Rainbow Kleiner Strike (ORKS) and for various reasons the picture was not what I wanted. I set out to change the picture but discovered that the workshop would only let you add new pictures and apparently the tool Garry made to change it is now broken. Luckily there is another way (you will have to re-upload your dupe to change it). This guide details how to do this.

The 7 Steps

• First you need to have a dupe you want to change the picture of.
  
• Second you need to open windows explorer if you do not know what that is simply search it in the start menu.
  
• Third there should be some tabs on the left click on the one that says computer.
  
• Fourth there is a search bar in the top right. Search dupes and select the file named dupes.
  
• Fith the file will have alternating DUPE files and JPEG image files. Find the dupe you want to change by clicking on the image files till you find the one you want to edit.*
  
• Now right click with your mouse on the image file of the dupe you want to change and select the EDIT option this will then open paint**. Do not forget to use the "paste from" option in the upper left part of paint to paste a picture onto it if you want to change the whole image.
  
• Sixth once you have edited your file simply save it and exit paint.
  
• Seventh do a happy jig. Yes this is completly neccesary and the most important step.

* If multiple of your dupes have the same picture then just drag one of the image files to the desktop and then launch Garry's mod (after closing the dupes file just to be safe) and find the dupe with the missing image. If you dragged the wrong image file then just drag it back into the dupes file and repeat.

** If you do not want to edit it with paint than that is your problem to figure out.
