Toon's NPC Mod

Beskrivelse
I'm just adding a little more life into the game. Should make the game easier but only in the sense that it adds some lore friendly stuff.

NPCs added so far:

Aspiring Mercenaries; Young mercenaries who can't justify to charge so much. Won't cost you more than a couple hundred cats. Squads range from 2 to 6 mercenaries, each merc is capable of handling 2-3 dust bandits on their own. I've placed them where they're most likely to survive their contracts with you - the Hub and in Holy Nation territory.

Pilgrim Faction/Pilgrims: Need to sneak into holy nation territory due to hostility or bounty? These guys will be wandering around HN territory completely unarmed and weak. They have their own faction, so the HN won't accuse you of uniform theft. Downside is that they're hard to find - they can occasionally be found wandering holy nation territories. Do remember that the HN can see through disguises if you're a skeleton.

Trade Ninja Caravan: Trade ninjas will now send caravans to you when you set up a base. They send 6 ninjas and a garru. They deal in just about everything, from books to materials to food to weapons. I'm... not sure about their acid protection, so if you want some free loot I guess set up in a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ place I guess.

---

I'll update this mod ever so often, usually to suite my own needs or desires. Mostly I want more outpost shenanigans as I find that having a base is kind of boring. The goal of the mod is to be as lore friendly as possible so I won't be adding any new factions aside from the pilgrim faction and a shek disguising faction (you can disguise as the slavers for the United Cities so I won't be adding one for them).

Future Inhabitants of Kenshi:

A beggar visits your base
A (mean) beggar visits your base and insults you
United Cities sends ninjas to your base to gage your strength
Mercenary Guild employs disgraced Shek as Shek Kamikaze mercs for you to employ
A rich man and his annoying wife visit your base to do some shopping, hilarity right out of a 1980's sitcom ensues
Various groups of adventurers much like you, found roaming the world and may occasionally visit your base
Pilgrims visit your base and try to convert you to Okran
Pilgrims visit your base on a pilgrimmage (positive relations with Holy Nation)
Pilgrims visit your base and insult you (negative relations with Holy Nation)
(Rare event) Pilgrims hire assassins to kill you (negative relations with Holy Nation)
Hounds drug runners occasionally visiting your base/various cities
Probably more idk

All of those will be uncommon so as not to disrupt game play.

The biggest factor slowing this all down is that I am just so uninspired to do dialogue rn.

Whether or not an NPC will be recruitable with the prisoner recruitment mod depends on whether or not the mod owner merely changed dialogue packages or added dialogue to the character. If he changed the dialogue packages then they'll be as recruitable as their respective equivalents (ninja to ninja, merc to merc, pilgrim to holy nation civilian etc).

just fyi, the aspiring mercs in HN cities will always get into fights with the entire city as they're sheks and the HN will aggro them, leading to half the paladins being downed. You might wanna do something bout that
