1-2. What's a Panasonic 3DO

The 3DO Interactive Multiplayer (often called simply the 3DO) is a video game console platform developed by The 3DO Company. Conceived by entrepreneur and Electronic Arts founder Trip Hawkins, the 3DO was not a console manufactured by the company itself, but a series of specifications, originally designed by Dave Needle and R. J. Mical of New Technology Group, that could be licensed by third-parties. Panasonic produced the first models in 1993, and further renditions of the hardware were released in 1994 by Sanyo and GoldStar (now LG Corp).

Despite a highly promoted launch (including being named Time magazine's "1994 Product of the Year") and a host of cutting-edge technologies, the 3DO's high price (US $699 at launch) and an over-saturated console market prevented the system from achieving success comparable to veteran competitors Sega and Nintendo.

Since its discontinuation in late 1996, the 3DO has been frequently derided by video game historians.
1-3. Dashboard Interface

Putt-Putt's dashboard has maintained a similar look throughout the course of the series. The original style, seen in Putt-Putt Joins the Parade and Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon, features a Gas Gauge, Speedometer, Steering Wheel with Horn, Radio and a Glove Compartment.

In Putt-Putt Joins the Parade, Putt-Putt's Gas Gauge would drain as time progressed. He had the option of refilling it at the Cartown Gas Station. The Speedometer is labeled in increments of 5mph from five to 35mph, 35mph being Putt-Putt's Top Speed. The Steering Wheel is red and seemingly floats in front of the Dashboard. In its center rests a Yellow Smiley Face which acts as Putt-Putt's Horn. When used, the horn makes a Goofy Face while the Horn blares. The Radio features a Older Style Tuner and is always tuned to the Same Station. The Glove Compartment is where Putt-Putt keeps the items he finds on his adventures. It is divided into Two Sections by a single shelf that rests in the middle. During times when Putt-Putt is asked a YES or NO Question, the shelf rotates forward to reveal the YES or NO options.

NOTE: Starting with Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon and onward, you have Unlimited Fuel. In the Demo Version of this game, the radio doesn't work on the Moon.
2-1. Walkthroughs Guide - Demo Version
After you've reached the Earth's Moon after the introduction, it appears that Putt-Putt is stuck on the moon & he needs to find a way back to Earth. Head Right until you reach Moon City then go to the upper right to Moon City Hall and talk to Governor Moonbeam after examining his favorite key. He's willing to trade it for an ice cream cone (although this puzzle does not appear in the Retail Version). Go down until you reach the Rocket Ice Cream Shop, pick up an ice cream then head back to Moon City Hall and click on the door to talk to Governor Moonbeam, then use the Ice Cream Cone on him. Afterwards, you'll be able to get the key. Once you have the key, head back to the Rocket Ice Cream Shop and use the Key on the Rocket to unlock the door then enter inside it. Once inside, you'll find out that the Rocket is missing some parts & you'll need to find them in Retail Version, after that, the Demo ends.
2-2. Game Items
Ice Cream: Used on Governor Moonbeam to trade for the Key. This Item is scrapped in the Retail Version.

Key: Used to enter the Space Rocket. In the Retail Version, this item was update to being a Key Item for the Space Rocket.
