NPCs / Players drop ammo on death

Console Commands

ChanceOfAmmo Chance of ammo drops. ( Default is 100, value determines chances. 50 = 50% chance etc. Affects both NPC and player chances. )

NPCDropAmmo Should NPCs drop ammo. ( 1 = Yes 0 = No. Default is 1 )

NPCDropAltAmmo Should NPCs drop secondary ammo. ( 1 = Yes 0 = No. Default is 1 )

PlayerDropAmmo Should Players drop ammo. ( 1 = Yes 0 = No. Default is 1 )

PlayerDropAltAmmo Should Players drop secondary ammo. ( 1 = Yes 0 = No. Default is 1 )

DisableNPCWeaponDrop Prevent NPC's from dropping their weapons. ( 2 = Chance Based 1 = Yes 0 = No. Default is 0 )

NPCWeaponDropChance Chance for NPC's to drop their weapon. Requires DisableNPCWeaponDrop to be set to 2. ( Percentage value. Default is 100 )

These options and more can be found under the 'NPC Drops' tab under settings.

What does it do?

When an NPC is killed, they will drop ammo depending on the options chosen by the player. Ammo types are based on HL2 ammo types (Pistol ammo, 357 ammo, SMG1 ammo etc.)

To modify these options, use the Ammo Drop Settings menu found under the NPC Drops tab.

If you are using ArcCW's "Replace default HL2 entities" command, this addon will automatically convert to ArcCW's custom ammo entities.

oh please do, it gives your addon a borderlands kinda vibe when it plays in conjunction to the Dynamic Entity Replacer mod that you would have to download from a link in the take and hold map

hey, can you help me figure out a way to use your addon to have npcs have a CHANCE to drop a weapon?

That means you have an addon that is replacing the default HL2 ammo entities. If you're using something like Total Replacer to replace the ammo with something else then that is the source of the issue.

There's a weird bug with this addon, im not sure what exact concoction causes it to occur, but anytime i kill an enemy, some random spot on the map will eject a stack of ammo, typically of every single ammo type to exist in base game Half Life 2.

Any NPC with a weapon that uses base HL2 ammo should work fine. I haven't tested this with VJ Base but there shouldn't be any problems.

Yes but that applies to all combine soldiers, not just the elites.
In HL2 only elites drop the AR2 orbs

There's an option in Ammo Drop Settings to make only Combine Soldiers drop AR2 Orbs. It's under the "Disable AR2 Orb Drops" option.
