Hi, thank you and welcome to my install guide.

Do you want to keep playing Skyrim looking like a old age pensioner walking up the street with arthritis...and heavy shopping....No, didn't think so.
Just take a look... The left image is Skyrim taken as far as it can without an ENB and the right image is using Somber ENB LUT Sepia

------------ O.A.P with shopping --------------------------------------------- Somber ENB LUT Sepia ------------

Below i have linked in my YouTube video on the same subject, it will go through the same step by step tutorial that is written here. But if you'd prefer the text version just scroll down and get to it.

So, without holding you back, enjoy.

Step By Step
Download the ENB from the ENB Series Website[enbdev.com]

You want these four: 'd3d5.dll'
'enblocal.ini' file
'enbhost.exe' file
'enbseries' folder
Copy/Paste these files into your Skyrim Folder.

Download the Somber ENB Lut Sepia from the Skyrim Nexus Mod Page[skyrim.nexusmods.com].
Here you can choose between vanilla lighting or ELFX (Enhanced Lighting & FX).
Each comes with three quality settings (Ultra, High, and Performance) and a few optionals. Copy the contents of the quality you've chosen to your Skyrim folder.
The DATA folder needs to be added too, click replace files when doing so.
Do this easily by copy/pasting or you can instead, download the data file via NMM from the download page.

Remember: You must edit the enblocal.ini file under the [MEMORY] section to reflect your GPU (graphics card memory).

When adjusting the memory in enblocal, VRAM is how much memory your VIDEO CARD has, not system RAM.

6GB VRAM = 6144
3GB VRAM = 3072
2.5GB VRAM = 2560
2GB VRAM = 2048
1.5GB VRAM = 1536
1GB VRAM = 1024
Under 1GB VRAM = Number of MB of VRAM (512 for a 512MB card.)

You will need to set the enbhost.exe, TESV.exe and SkyrimLauncher.exe files to run as administrator - right click, properties, compatibility tab, near bottom check "run program as administrator".

Edit your skyrimprefs.ini file (usually found in your my documents/games/skyrim folder):
bFloatPointRenderTarget=1
bEnableFileSelection=1
bDoDepthOfField=0 // or set to 1 to help with transparent water issues
bTreesReceiveShadows=1
bDrawLandShadows=1
bDrawShadows=1
iBlurDeferredShadowMask=5 (for best shadow quality, no lower then 4)

Set to application controlled (or, if that is not an option, disable them) the Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering settings on your video card and in the skyrim launcher configuration window set them both to OFF.

Finally, there are a few required mods needed:
ELFX[skyrim.nexusmods.com]
Revamped Exterior FOG[skyrim.nexusmods.com]
Blackout Simply Darker Dungeons[skyrim.nexusmods.com]

You should be all set to go – Launch the game and enjoy the beauty.

So, dumb question probably but I'm not super tech savvy, but under the bit where you say I need to specify my VRAM you skip 4 GB which is what I have... what number do I put in for 4 GB?

that greatly depends on the enb, an enb like Somber is heavy but there are many that cause minimal drop. IF you want I could recommend a couple.

How much Fps drop would i be seeing considering i can run the game on ultra with about a dozen mods at a steady 45 fps

This ENB is a modified version of the Cimematic ENB. Each ENB is slightly different and a few are very different. Few ENB have/use enblocal yet as they are not all updated soon as possible...with Boris Vorontsov putting out new versions of the ENBseries almost weekly.

As for Project ENB, the install is almost the same, just no enblocal or enbhost unless the mod author updates the files. This is my footage of Project ENB in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53X7ENjFym0

I have tried about 30 ENB in total...
As for it looking better, its all down to preferance. LUT Sepia is just so unique striking...providing you install specific mods that its designed to work with.

I have project ENB installed which looks better. This one you have seems like CinemaScope ENB but with more options.
Does project ENB have the enblocal file anywere? i looked for it and cant find one anywere unless im missing something
