why do they do this to all great games...............

Don't be disheartened, the issues with the industry tend to be with the a few and far between old guard (at least in my experience and this is aside from issues with publishers etc). All young developers I've had and still have the pleasure of working with have always be great strong willed and passionate individuals. It's still my favourite industry and now since the demise of UemeU I've met and talked regularly with some of the leaders in it. Don't be shaken it's an amazing industry and there are more incredible (and good) people within it than bad.

I will openly say. The Helgasons are fantastic people, their whole family are and as such I will advise towards investing time into Unity3D.

I seriously appreciate the update. It's tragic that is fate of such a potential filled idea. I understand it was all out of your hands what happened and I wish you the best moving forward, as an aspiring developer myself its tales like these that scare me the most.

@It's Ya Boy, Uh, Skinny Penis and All other commenters and messengers across social media platforms. (For some reason I've been receiving an large increase in people from a long time ago).

Unfortunately UemeU was forced into a financial corner by Jagex which made it very unattractive to continue working on the project.

It's worth noting that those involved in that cornering were transitive management in the interim between CEO's Mark Gerhard and Phil Mansell (both who either openly and actively supported UemeU or were neutral on it at times during its development). If you'd like to look up who that was its a very easy thing to research / lookup. Perhpas it will give some insight on some other games and companies in the industry.

The project was sold to Jagex game studios at which point the game stopped receiving updates and the whole team disbanded to other game companies except myself who moved into Machine Learning and AI. (If you're interested in that you can find info on my twitter).

It was a very sad time for all of us and if there was an alternative we would have taken it. UemeU, particularly for me, was the culmination of several years of work and it was... disheartening... for things to end the way they did... I am however pleased that places were found for my team, they all deserved and still do deserve bright futures in the industry.

If I make another game like this (which I'd like to but no time soon as my current company is all time consuming), I'm more than happy to give anyone who was burnt by UemeU a copy for them and their friends in thanks for their support during UemeU's development.

If people want to contact me about anything else then please reach out to me on Twitter @mentioum.

So I can't find anywhere to re-download the game. I bought a copy before Omnigon games seemingly disappeared from the face of the Earth... any update on that or?
