[OD/DS] Loud Build (including no DLC alternative)
By bup.
Introduction
Hey! I'm bup. I have completed every heist on OD/DS and used this build for most of them, so I just wanted to share it.
And since the weapon choice makes it pretty easy to go non-DLC I thought I might aswell include it. Enjoy!

Requirements
  • at least Infamy-V
  • lvl 100 (obviously)
Pros and Cons
Pros:
  • Jokers
  • good clear against regular units and most specials (use Compact 40mm to clear big crowds)
  • easy anti shield thanks to Rogue weapon switch
  • good ammo pickup
  • enough range to kill snipers
  • Feign Death for chance to self revive

Cons:
  • struggles against minigun Dozers
  • 50 Dodge and not the full 60
  • very basic (no saw, c4 etc.)
Skills & Perks
Mastermind
Inspire: necessary to revive teammates quicker and easier.
Jokers: with this build you'll have 2 Jokers pulling aggro, very useful.

Enforcer
Bullseye: if your armor breaks and you can't take cover try going for the head to regain armor and tank one extra hit.

Technician
Body Expertise: you ignore body armor and apply 90% of headshot damage to bodyshots.
I know some people dislike this skill (because you can just go for headshots and save skillpoints). But I find that you die less frequently when you spend less time trying to go for headshots, so you can concentrate more on other things.

Ghost
Parkour & Duck and Cover: basic skills to improve movement.
Low Blow: you'll have 30% crit chance as long as your concealment is 23 or lower. Increases DPS significantly.

Fugitive
Nine Lives: turns one down into two downs, effectively doubling your medbag charges. 100% necessary!
Swansong: lets you live for 6s after your health has been depleted. Use this to:
  • get your teammates up
  • complete objectives
  • place a medbag if necessary
  • finish taking your medbag if you get downed during the interaction
all in all very useful skill.
Feign Death: gives you a 45% chance to get up on your own when youre downed. This skill is just personal preference for me, but it has saved heists more times than I can count.

Perkdeck:
Rogue is recommended for od/ds for the 50 Dodge and faster weapon switch.

If youre bringing this build to mayhem or lower you might want to try Anarchist since Rogue really falls off on lower difficulties.

How to use this without DLC
Turning this build non DLC is actually pretty easy, so you can just leave the skills the way they are.
The only thing you'll have to change will be the weapons cause obviously I used DLC mods on them,
so here you go:

Primary: Union 5.56 Rifle

The Union is a better choice over the Tempest since it has better reload speed and stability/accuracy stats if modded without dlc.

only the Gadget was DLC here so you can just remove it and be fine.

General gameplay tips
Just play this like you would every other od/ds build, it's very basic. Stick to cover but keep clearing basic units and low hp specials with your primary, If you see a shield or a big croud use the compact. Also you can use the compact to hit enemies while staying in cover since its explosive and has ballistic trajectory.

For Dozers you can chip away its faceplates with your grenade launcher and then unload your primary into its face but in the perfect scenario you get your team to help you out, because emptying mag after mag into dozers is a sure way to run out of ammo very quickly.
Use Flashbangs to run from cover to cover and dont stay out in the open for too long (duh).

But most Importantly GET YOUR JOKERS seriously they are extremely useful bullet sponges.

And that's all. Thanks for reading my guide, I hope you enjoy the build and clear some od/ds with it!
Also if there are any questions you have feel free to ask them.

well that bug sucks for you then rip.
As for the LED Combo I use it mainly for the +8 Stability. The Silencer is actually really important on odds since as you realized yourself it lowers the threat stat of the gun. (Enemies are more likely to shoot at you if you fire a high threat gun) So if oyur threat is low your converts can tank better for you. But if you prefer the raw weapon stats thats fine aswell.

Nah its a common Bug, you get a notification if you dodge by a Yellow Blinking, i didnt dodge 1 Shoot, even on VH Cops can get me out in Seconds by 50% showed Dodge chance.

Also i was trying to countercheck it with Wolfhud, 55% on my normal Dodge build, no Buff at this one.

I just switch a few Points, no Silencer couse you also didnt Skill anything with Silencer Boosts, so i was taking the next one (not sure how its named in English) - the one with +2dmg, +4aim, + 12Stability an so on.
And i dont use the LED Combo, mostly the missions are Lighting enough, if you want to hold LED Comb the only switch is.
+3 DMG, -4 Aim, +1Concealment, +13 Treat comparing to your Tempest.

I'd like your input on how to make the weapon mods better, also if you feel like your dodge isn't working maybe see if you have the rogue perkdeck equipped?

Would really like to check it out - even if i switch a little on the Weapon Mods, but getting the Bug where the ITV or like here the Dodge didnt work after setting up a new Skillsetup

Hey thanks for stopping by to read my guide!
As for your questions:
1. By going Infamy you get reduced cost of skillpoints. This might be helpful to you: https://payday.fandom.com/wiki/Infamy
2. I use the 40mm mainly for the high Damage to oneshot most non-specials on ds.Also while it
does have low ammo the pickup rate is fantastic!
The Judge without shotgun skils is okay for shields and faceplates but doesnt have the raw
power to clear rooms on its own.
And as I said in the guide I use the 40mm for Shields and big crowds of enemies.
just remember to do so by peeking in and out of cover to shoot and reload.

hope this helped!

Thanks for the build!
I like the tempest-21, never used it before.

2 questions:
1. I can't copy your skill tree, I can't reach inspire for example. Are some selected skills missing from those images?
2. Why and when do you use the 40mm? Because I think ammo is to low and rate of fire is also slow. I prefer the judge shotgun.
