The Young Wolf: An unofficial Stronghold prequel - ACT 3 (Mission 2 of 2)

The fleet approaches near an abandoned castle, when suddenly thousands of bolts darken the sky.

The fleet is now destroyed and most of your men are dead, floating on the surface of the sea but you and your guards have survived the raid. You decide to set a camp and wait for Duc Truffe when a messenger from Duc Volpe arrives with a letter and a box:

«Do you think I dont know who you are? The boy who escaped from the massacre in the capital: the King ordered me to kill your family and that traitor of your father. He never liked him: since the day he joined the royal family and after their father passed away, he feared that he would have usurped the throne. The "adopted bastard" died that night, with my sword piercing his chest. And now you have come, looking for revenge; even if your friend tricked me to establish a castle in this promontory, I will finish what I started. In the box you will find a gift: a snake eye. Just like your father before you, you fall before me!
Come Wolf... today, you will join your pack.»


The time has come: Duc Volpe stands in front of you and now you can finally avenge your father.


Duc Volpe: Do you think you have won? Ahahahah you might have killed me but (spits blood) the King will return he will retake the kingdom and put your head on a spike, ahahahah! You fight better than your father. I'll give you that. Now... Kill me. I will not kneel before you.

The Wolf: (snarls) Before you die, vermin, I want you to know that I will take your castles and I will burn them from the ground... I will kill every men who still serve under the King's banner and I will take your title, your lands and all that belongs to you... I WILL BE DUC VOLPE.

The Wolf: ...and I will start by taking your life.

After killing Duc Volpe, you throw him down the cliff: his lifeless body disappears, carried by the sea foam into the ocean. When you turn on the other side, you see a young boy crying: at your sight ,he flees.
