Sorry @ti-mich, it looks like the author has abandoned this guide. Yes, you can play this game with XBOX 360 controller. I actually find it easier than mouse and keyboard controls.

I've found bidding on an industry near the AI is a good way at the very begging to get them out of the game. Dont even need to counter bid. Only thing is to pause and study the map to make sure you will not want it. So like a saw mill or textile factory, since you can later build those anywhere you want, but reserve grain or coal for later buys yourself.

Clipper Voyager, this is my tip. At the very start of the game, try to buy one of the resources, for $68000. Then the opposition will counter bid, bid one more time, then he will counter bid again. Then let him buy it. He should pay $88000. This doesn't allow him to build any track, as he refuses to go into debt, then you can plan at your own pace from there and are guaranteed to win the mission....

However, the next mission, is more difficult again, and I'm stuck on that one.... Any help gratefully received....

I'm actually stuck on the mission where you need to connect to 30 or so stations and then after that you need to get $3,000,000 in company value. Any suggestions on how to get through it?
