"Zeroing" the gun
The M1917 is a beloved mounted MG. High-cap belt, decent rate of fire...
The thing that makes the M1917 not so convenient is it's sights. It's sights are not that bad, in fact, it is great. The only problem is that you cannot move the gun as quick as you can when you are not using them, and that is a serious issue when you are facing a lot of IJA/IJN whatever swarming over your area.

So recently I've found a little trick that allows you to aim kind of accurately when firing the M1917 without using the sights that slow you down. It is simple.

Take hold of that awesome gun, and then aim down your sights. Set the sights to 1600m, and get out of the iron sights.

Aim using the bottom of the apreture

Now, your sights are "zeroed" for use on hip. You don't need to care about the front sight, just aim using the bottom of the aperture (the smaller "hole" in the middle) and it should hit where you are aiming at. Now you can engage multiple enemies in an astonishing speed! :D

Hope you find it useful ;)

Believe it or not, I thought it was possible and I tried it out using different range settings until I found that it is 1600m. xD
