The Test
Overview:
All questions follow a simple layout of 3 horizontal patterns of 3 images each going from left to right. It is important to keep in mind that each horizontal line is its own pattern and is unaffected by the lines above and below.

First question:

This one is simple, appropriate as it is the first. The red portions of the diamond shape add together from left to right, so for the last square the entire thing is filled in.

Question 2:

This question is a little more abstract, but the pattern is the topmost line fills out to the right as it goes across, so since the last pattern starts with just a block in the top left and extends. Pick the line going across the top.

Question 3:

The rule for this question is that that when the first two images are overlayed the resulting third image adds where nothing overlaps but subtracts when parts do overlap. So two lines will cancel out if they are in the same location. So when that is known the resulting image for the last pattern is this:

Question 4:

Exacts same deal as question 3 but with fancier images added in.

Question 5:

The shapes in the middle are a distraction to be honest. The only thing that matters here is the rectangle, it's angle, and what type it is. Each line will have an outline rectangle, a rectangle with a line through the middle, and a solid rectangle. All will be at the same angle in that line.

Question 6:
Question 6 is a tossup because you get to pick which deck to go with. I'll go with Red since I can actually explain the answer to it.

I quite like this one, it's extremely simple once you get the what the trick is but you're so conditioned to think in patterns by this point you don't realize it's just basic math. Basically stars inside the circle will add up to the third image, but stars inside the circle and outside the circle cancel out. So for the last image you have 2 inside and 2 outside so you're just left with a blank circle.

Ding, gratz, you just aced your weird deck of cards IQ test.

Bonus: Green Deck.
Edit: This question is taken from a real IQ test. Credit for the solution: https://puzzling.stackexchange.com/questions/1872/task-39-from-iqtest-dk

In simple terms: the shapes are moving and morphing. What is important to understand is that when the shapes reach the end of the line they roll over into the level below on the left hand side until they reach the bottom right and go back to the top. This is best shown with color.

The red cross begins its journey from the the upper left crossword box to the the (missing) lower left crossword box. Steps forward and transforms (rotates). The same happens for the blue triangle and the other shapes.

So now you are not only prepared for Kaula's test, you are also ready to take an IQ test and get good results. But don't worry if you don't, they aren't actually objective measures of intelligence. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/iq-tests-are-fundamentally-flawed-and-using-them-alone-to-measure-intelligence-is-a-fallacy-study-8425911.html
