How to play on XInput controllers (Strum Fix)

Easy step-by-step guide with pictures on how to setup your XInput device

Solution 1

Right click on Phase Shift in Steam
Go to properties
In "Steam Input Per-Game Setting choose "Forced Off"

Solution 2

Press Win+R
Type in "%appdata%" and press "OK"


Now go to "...Roaming\DWSK\Phase Shift\102206827\Local" (numbers might vary)


And open "config.ini"


In "config.ini" find "XINPUT"
And set it to "FALSE"
It should look like this: XINPUT = "FALSE"




Now launch the game.
Press any button on the XInput controller.
A window will pop up saying that the game found an unknown controller.
Press Configure now.
Chose the preset for the controller and Customize it to your liking.


Now you can play Phase Shift using XInput controller (Xbox One controller Xbox 360 controller e.t.c.)
