Cases
While playing Crash TIme 2 there is a possibility that you will hit a dead-end and won't know how to continue the game.

If new cases don't start here is a list of things that might have gone wrong:

1. You aren't using the correct character or vehicle. - While you are in the vehicle selection menu use your left/right arrow keys to select different characters. Watch out for a red flag to the right of vehicles. If there is one that means that there is a mission available for it.

2. You have already started the case but switched to another one. - I'm not actually sure if this can actually happen, but in case it has just go to the Cases menu and select the case you want to continue doing.

3. You are on the wrong map. - There are two maps in Crash Time 2 - the city map and the highway map. If you can't start a case then travel/spawn at the other map and try there.

4. The case you are trying to start doesn't start automatically. - Some cases require you to drive to a certain case marker in order to start them. If that's the case, enter the minimap and try to find the marker.
Locked vehicles
Most vehicles are unlocked normally by completing certain cases, there are only 2 vehicles that are unlocked in a special way.

1. Courier van - It is unlocked by completing the tutorial missions

2. Mad Cop - It is unlocked by finding all the vehicle parts hidden around the game maps. Don't worry you don't have to look for them if you don't want to. After completing most of the cases, icons of a golden wheel will appear on the minimap revealing the locations of those hidden parts. After collecting them all you will unlock the Mad Cop vehicle and the game's last case.

Thanks for the input. I think the startup menu was a little misleading to me. I was able to find stuff. I think the mistake I was making was being in "Patrol" mode the whole time. I'm guessing that's a version of "free roam".

3) Case markers look similar to the mission markers in GTA. Some missions start automatically, while others have to be started by stopping inside the case marker and a few of them have to be started from the cases menu. I remember there was one case that I couldn't figure out how to start. It turned out that markers don't appear if you start on top of them. That case's marker was located in front of the starting spawn location and because I spawned there it didn't appear until I left the parking lot and turned around.

I hope this helps.

I haven't played the game in a while, so my memory is a little rusty at this point.

1) After finishing the finishing, the first mission, when starting the game, you should get the ability to pick a starting vehicle. As the game progresses you will start unlocking different vehicles and characters. If I remember correctly you can browse through them by using the arrow keys.

2) Again, my memory is a little rusty, but I think you can find the cases menu in the pause menu. Just start the game, press ESC and one of the options should be the cases menu.

This guide seems like it might be the answer to my recent post in the discussion forum.

But I'm still confused because some of the things you mention I don't even have access to. So can you please tell me what I'm missing?
(referring to your point numbers)
1) What vehicle selection menu? When you start the game, you automatically start in your car in the police dept parking lot.
2) Cases menu? Same as #1. Where are you seeing these menus?
4) Case markers?

Anyway just read my original post. And you'll see what I mean. The only option I get is to drive around. Turning on your siren, crashing into clueless NPCs. That's all. It's almost as if they gave you a tutorial on how to be a good pursuit cop, but they didn't even tell you how to start cases or get to any of these menus you mention.
