"I began just drawing a cockatoo...then added more feathers and multiple eyes, added a humanoid body then with a long neck turned as though it was looking behind, over a shoulder. Things kept escalating and eventually I just tried to make it look as if it was in space. I realized about 3/4 the way in I think I was being subliminally influenced by my love of Stellaris.
