Conclusion to my review

Since steam has a stupidly low character limit on reviews I have put the end of my review in this guide for simplicity and because I don't want to delete a large chunk of my review just to get it to "fit".

Conclusion to my review
The last major issue I have is with the RPG mechanics overall. I will be blunt, this game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful RPG. The choices you make have next to no impact on the story at all. Killing or saving major characters also has almost no effect on the story at all and this game feels like a parody of an RPG, not the real thing.

I'm gonna wrap this review up here because I could honestly write a 1000 page book of all the things I hate about this game and still not be done, but sadly steam has a character limit on reviews.

There are still many other issues I didn't speak about, like the fact that there's less weapons in this game, enemies are damage sponges, massive grind just to get through the story, the overpriced microtransactions, the still trashy modern day (bring back Desmond please), the complete lack of assassin's or pretty much anything to do with AC, I really could go on all day.

But overall I would say that Odyssey is a terrible AC, a terrible RPG and just a terrible game in my honest opinion. If you like the game then I respect your opinion (kinda :P) but I really don't see what all the hype around this game is for and it really is one of the worst AAA games I have played in a very long time. If you really want to try this game then I would suggest waiting to buy the standard edition for maybe 75% off at least in sale, but DO NOT make the mistake I made by buying the Gold Edition full price on launch.

when i got the gold edition for Xbox, i loved the game, no bugs come up, rarely ever a bug comes up, the RPG was cool, and tbh, it's your opinion, idc (no offense though, i respect your opinion personally.) but the game is overall, clean good, the character choice is a nice way to throw out some gender options, even with the +NG mode.
the abilites is underrated as FUCK, i could make my weapons turn into Vulcan's flares and send a shock wave and everyone near would be FUCKING BURN'T, i could vanish and go full camouflage, and my enemies wouldn't even know where i went.
especially with the 2 Dlc's that give you 3 free abilites and. 10. FUCKING. REPLACEMENTS FOR ORDINARY ABILITES. so odyssey is my favorite RPG game ever, even Origins and Valhalla are also CLEAN with the gameplay and story of the protagonists.

bought it yesterday on steam sale for les than 20 bugs so its still ok for me as a greek guy, wahted to see what kind of bullsh..they did out of the main idea. fe this word he always say..in almost any sentence Mala** doesnt mean word by word As*holes, its more a word for "a guy who is jerk**g off" so in Germany there is evan a word for that, but nope, they made it sound like As*hole.. just that give me a simple answer about the quality research they made for to make this game. A tale about agreek guy, teached by a nunch of Canadians.. :steamfacepalm:

1: Character limits exist for a reason.

2: I personally didn't like the feel of Egypt, Don't get me wrong Origins wasn't bad, but I'm enjoying Odyssey.

I'm not gonna read your review, but the character limit is there for a reason bro. I skim read bits here and there, and you could be way more concise - the point of the character limit is to encourage you to be so, because most folks don't want to read an essay to decide whether to buy a game or not, so essays are discouraged.

We, players, need to be timeless. We need to recognize a good game regardless of comparisons and times.

What kills humanity is damn expectation. If this game came up 10 years ago it would be the best game in the world. Now he's being criticized for not being what he should be. The world evolves, new formulas need to be tested. One thing is the game does not meet your expectations, another is the game being bad. This game is not bad. It has several interesting elements, is fun and has a good story. You have to know how to separate things.

Question 1: what de fog am i doing here?
ques 2: what is that crap you're crying about?
And, uh, if the chars limit of a review isn't large enough for you to express your thoughts you're either a huge crybaby or a clown. Disliked, have fun in your not real-real life.

This game must be played on easy, do not waste your time with this "game". I never felt more like working on a game instead of having fun than with this software. I am sorry because I was so happy for Greece and greek mythology, and classical sources and greek institutions... and this is very sad for how much it is a cheap repository reuse and practically just a concept artist\level designer show off, nothing else.

I strongly agree with everything you've said here. Sadly this game is a carefully planned cash-grab. Just entertaining enough to appease the masses, which isn't very hard seeing as how garbage like fortnite is thriving. But hey, ehh is the new fun, good enough is the new masterpiece, and Donald Trump is our president. Gotta get with times right!? Thus the cycle continues - monkeys control the remotes, buy their sh!t, pay for their (Digital) nonexistent trash & grind saver packs, their greed flies under the radar while they laugh at us all the way to the bank. I think they understand this very well... Thing that p!sses me off the most is that we're still waiting on ancient china AC while Rome is next on the list - meaning they will recycle animations and textures etc from odyssey to collect a paycheck yet again.
